first trip with epropulsion
My first time out with the epropulsion, it was so nice smooth,quiet and clean. I am using it on the twin troller X-10.

HOBIE LYNX H RAILS AND HELIX 7 INSTALL

I got my H-RAILS for the lynx put them on made new rod holdersand mounted the helix 7 , I had to move the transducer to the H rail because the sidescan would not work in the hobie hull mount.

I met a subscriber at the landing today it was nice to meet you Larry, I also caught about 5 fish a good day.
2 days of trout and a nice red on the hobie lynx.

I had 2 fun days for a change the trout are moving into the marsh I forgot to turn the camera on for about half of the trout.

I went out in the marsh with high wind and some rough water the lynx handled it great but heading back into the head wind I did get water spray on my pants.

I made a simple anchor pole for the lynx it's cheap and works great.I also show where I put the paddle on the lynx.

The fishing has been slow for me lately so here are a few days of catches, a few nice trout and a nice red and some small flounder.

I am modifying my foam rickyak here is a vid of the start. I am doing this so I can leave the boat in the pond all the time without the rain sinking the boat.

I am adding 2 in. of foam to the bottom of the rickskiff to maybe get a little more speed.

I got to the marsh this week for the first time in 6 weeks caught some fish and tried out my new anchor pole and it is great much better than the one I made it is 3/4 fiberglass rod from WW. GRANGER cost $40.00 and tuff as nails.

I really love my Epropulsion outboard. Planning on getting a spare battery for when I go to some of the bigger lakes near me.
What did you use as the paint and to cover the foam to make it more durable
The foam is covered with poor mans fiberglass, which is titebond 3 wood glue and painters drop cloth or old bed sheets painted with exterior latex paint.

Love my ePropulsion outboard and Battleborn lithium battery also. (best to travel with the he proposing battery inside the vehicle so there's no accidental dislodge of it on the road) 👍🏽 🎣
Now if a cheap source of epoxy could be found ?the diy boat world would double overnight
It was an interesting experiment the beauty is yo could literally use a hand saw and cut the bottom off and replace the it with new foam
I did change the rear area by doing just that on one of the boats.

How has this kayak held up in a year?
The lynx has held up real well I did add a pvc skid plate from bow to the peddle slot, since I fish in salt marsh with a lot of oyster bars.

What ever happened to the RickSkiff? I'm thinking of making one. How didi it hold up to oyster reef?
It has held up real well but I now use the lynx at the marsh lighter and easy to load and unload from the truck no trl. needed. I had fun building the foam skiff I have 2 of them now but I need to get rid of 3 or 4 boats, running out of room.

Nice! On the bottom of the pole, why not skip the eye bolt and just thread the paracord thru the hole and tie it off. Then you would not have to go under the kayak to attach it. Maybe there is not enough room within the PVC?
I have to use the eyebolt so I can take the anchor pole off. It works great.
The boat was it a electric troller?

I think it would be cool to tweak your design a bit into more of a catamaran and use 2 trolling motors. Love your build though!
So I would've looked back at your video to see where you fell in, went back on the little boat with a net and maybe some magnets and tried to retrieve the glasses. But you can always order glasses online and get them the next day or even 2 days later.
Hi Wil, I went back out with my dipnet on a long pool handle and found my glasses un hurt.

WOW I don't have a link I think i got it at academy sports or sportsman whs. I also can't remember but think it is by yak attack
It's from Railblaza and is called the PaddleGrip. They make 2 models. The one shown in the video and another that has a star mount so you can stick another item (rod holder ) alongside the paddle holder and save real estate.

Great example of how you get spray on your legs (or higher) in choppy water in the Lynx. I just think of early or late season when the water and air temps are cold. That wouldn’t be fun. Nonetheless a great yak for certain applications. Nice upload 👍🏼
I would get the same spray on me when I was in my outback in wind and waves like that. I am loving the lynx, I have a set of H-rails on order for it.
I think suction cup trays would work on the platform. I'll check it out once mine arrives

Hi Jerry , I think it was 3/4 or 5/8 not sure but it sure makes it easy to load and unload,put 3 cheap cutting boards on each side for runners so the TT will slide easy. find at wal-mart,
