Good topic, but I disagree that "you draw your identity from helping people," as you can just enjoy it and it not be about your identity! Hm, I think Christ helped us and it wasn't selfish, and there are giftings of help in the Bible (the wife is also the "helper" of her husband), as well as ministry gifts that we all carry. If it's how you only draw your joy, that's one thing, as God is at the top for that. But using our gifts does bring us joy, and that is good! It's only when it's our idol, or when we use it to control an outcome, or manipulate people SO that IT brings us joy. But we can freely give, aka "charity" and enjoy that as well, because its simply beautiful with no need to control the outcome or base our entire identity on it. It is about the heart, absolutely! Yes, the guy I’m dating now was my friend for about 6 months. I was not at all attracted initially, nor did I think I would ever consider him romantically. He even spoke a different language. Over time I grew to respect his character as a man of God and now I’m extremely attracted to him. This has never happened to me before, it used to always be the opposite. Build on a strong foundation of values and principles, not on something that is temporary such as appearances

You have no idea what this video means to me. A couple of weeks ago, God asked me to find 5 Christian ladies who got married at 33 and it was hard. I received a word that I would get married at this age. I had 4 down but could find the last one till today when I saw this video. No, you’re not just attracting the wrong people. Only bad people don’t just pull towards you like a magnet. You are attracted to the wrong people but it’s easier to say “I am attracting them” as a way to remove responsibility from your bad choices of being attracted to bad people who have bad qualities. Yes, if someone carries themselves in a toxic manner they will attract more toxic people. This is very true. However, not all people who attract toxic people are explicitly revealing themselves in a toxic way at all times, but they’re actively attracted to those toxic people. Stop saying “I am attracting” and take accountability and start being honest with yourself and your bad chives and start saying “I am and have been attracted to toxic people with toxic qualities.” Then once one is honest with themselves and take responsibility, then can start asking ‘WHY am I attracted to such people?’ But sadly very few people don’t like facing their demons and just want to masturbate with peasant self-flatteries.

I agree that it’s inappropriate to get romantic or relationship advice from the opposite sex. It leads to a lot of problems in the relationship. I’m realizing now how important this topic is! After multiple friendships that turned into messy relationships
