How to Catch and Dispatch Octopus - Spearfishing Australia
A few weeks ago Jake and I got out spearfishing but there weren't many fish around so we decided to go hunting for octopus. Stoked to eventually find a bit of life in the water for the full catch and cook experience!
Shoutout to Jake for the extra footage!

    That place is really a DANGEROUS PLACE . People have been hit so hard that they have had broken bones, others have been left paraplegic. Others could not be rescued from there until 24 hours later and had to spend the night in that place with open wounds. BE CAREFUL THE WAVES WILL HIT YOU TOO HARD.

I’ve trained with students who finished padi and ssi level 1 and they had to start all over again because they couldn’t complete the basics of molchanovs. We’re all scuba divers so the finning is another thing to unlearn and learn and I’m not a strong swimmer so I have to prepare for that.

    Here's what happens. You fork out hundreds to get a worthless card. To do this, the course instructor rips off a book that people had used for over a decade. Find a club and learn to dive with them. Don't get in hurry. There is safety in numbers. #1 cause of accident and death in diving is instructor related.

    • @felix.salmon
      @felix.salmon ปีที่แล้ว

      The card definitely isn't worth anything hahaha it's all about the skills. I became a very safe and decently competent diver by watching Adam Stern's TH-cam videos but I prefer diving with people who've completed a course because I know they're going to be safer in general than someone who hasn't. Diving with a club is the best way to make sure you're diving with competent divers. In my experience the best and safest divers have completed some level of course certification so they understand technique and how to dive safely. What do you mean by accidents are instructor related? Most freediving deaths are unfortunately when people dive alone, unknowingly hyperventilate.
