First time I saw Roy Orbison was at a Beatles show in 1963. Roy closed the first half and you could hear a pin drop, then second half was the Beatles and we all screamed our heads off, since I grew up I really got to appreciate his music. What an amazing voice he had and so unique

This is old. k.d Land went on to further performances with Roy Orbison. One DVD that I like is the R.O Performance : BLACK AND WHITE NIGHT. k.d Land was a backing singer in that one.
I think Jay so clearly didn’t know how to recover from his gaff asking her if it was her first time in LA and her pointing out that she had been on Johnny Carson numerous times, that he choked and just ignored her the rest of the interview. Idiot.

I am worshipful towards these two immortal talents and it was great to hear them chatting even if it was as all mainstream TV at the time, criminally brief. Leno was clueless - a workaholic and hard chaser of fame and fortune, he had never taken the time to know them as artists and didn't prep nearly enough - and apparently not at all for K.D. She was many years into her great career - an established star and beyond critically acclaimed singer and recording artist, but nobody told Jay.
Yes, I felt she was almost dismissed after a brief couple of minutes. Jay was not respectful of her at all. Both amazing singers, equally deserving of interview time.

She had been on Johnny Carson’s show many times. He really liked her. Jay was sooooo clueless to her amazing talent and sweet personality. Love k d lang and love and miss Roy Orbison. Roy was definitely in touch with at least one Beatle. He and the great George Harrison were part of the traveling Willburys.

One of the greatest singers and song writers of his day. I'm just wondering why he's wearing what looks like an Iron Cross...a symbol used by the Nazis.
It's called a Maltese Cross. A sign of Christian faith. Look it up.
@@katr8756 The Iron Cross was a military decoration in the Kingdom of Prussia, and later in the German Empire and Nazi Germany. The design was derived from the insignia of the medieval Teutonic Order and borne by its knights from the 13th century. It has meant many things to many governments over the centuries, hasn't it? The fact that the Nazis adopted it and emblazoned their military vehicles/weapons with it adds to the "irony" of why Roy Orbison wore it at all. Certainly no Christian I've EVER known has ever worn the Iron Cross as a "sign/symbol of Christian faith. The CRUCIFIX WITH CHRIST is the one true "symbol" of Christian faith and certainly the most recognized and that I'm familiar with. So, YOU "look it up".
