Awesome! I just posted my Onefinity Elite Foreman unboxing video, too!
Great job, enjoyed the video. Just pulled the trigger on the same machine can’t wait to get started with it. Love the table. On the fence with that part.
Nice... Good work.... hardwood boards survive generations...🎉
Great video!
What dust collector is that? Thanks for sharing.
Learn how to make it yourself with all details. Just look for woodprix :)
Very informative video my brother
Very Cool! Thanks for sharing. I'm along on this journey with you. Just flattened my Spoil board yesterday. and gridded it with 2x2 inch grid. I have 1F Ele 48x48. I like your GOAT setup. spoil board on top of a spoil board. (Training wheels)
Man this is so much better than the onefinity assembly videos. Thank you for all you help.
Don't think I would have figured it out!
Nice steel table, do you have a video on it as well? You mentioned, it was designed by another maker?
Did you consider the alt mill or the long mill?
Awesome,,, very informative - nice job
I know this is 2 months old and you have probably figured it out but if your cutting all the way thru you need to use tabs
I do at times. But I have learned that good tape placement usually takes care of it. At least for what I do.
I am getting an alarm with my touch probe z axis, when it comes down to measure the z axis y never stops once it touches the probe and i get an aalarm. what could thatbee? Thx in advance! noobie here
Subscribed! At min 40 of your video, i was using the top coordinates of x,y, z before, so i shluld be using the bottom coordinat3s then? Maybe thats why i am getting alarms when i park the spindle etc..
Great video. I am upgrading my Onefinity Journeyman blackbox to the Elite Journeyman. I will pretty much the same setup as you, so I find your videos extremely useful. Keep the content coming!!
Thank you.
Those turned out great.
Thank you!
What a great video! Thanks for creating it and sharing!
No problem. Thank you for the comment.
You probably already know this but Onefinity sells a replacement z motor with a brake so the spindle will not fall when powered off. You then will have a spare motor for the other axis.
Yea I know. I just haven’t had a need for it just yet. I’ve gotten in the habit of not leaving a bit in it when I power it off.
I am in the process of assembling my Onefinity Journeyman Elite. I also got my spindle (220v and water cooled) from PWNcnc.. Thanks for your videos!
No problem
Very help full video for me. I'm a new CNC,er with almost the exact equipment as yours.
Awesome feel free to message me on Facebook if you have questions.
Nicely done, and I'm sure they will be pleased in the way you designed the box to honor their grandfather. Please don't take this as a negative, it is just a question of, perhaps, logistics: With the two exotic woods, they each have their own characteristic color. At the end of the video when you're showing the final product, I can't see the difference between the woods. They look the same to me. Perhaps it is the way your camera's sensor converted the image, but just wondering about that. As expensive as each species is, them being different should 'pop'. Again, great job and I'm hopeful it is just the camera sensor and not the oil that made them look the same (at least to me in the video).
The Purple Heart had sap wood in it which the oil brought out but in person you can definitely tell the difference. All comments are welcome.
Have seen a few of your videos and your thoughts seem really valuable to me. I'm now sold on the PWNSPINDLE, thank you. Quick question, did you even consider the ALTIMILL from SIENCE LABS? I'm still struggling with that choice and would like your thoughts please?
Honestly I only considered Onefinity, Shapeoko, and inventables. I considered my budget, assembly, reputation, stability, maintenance, build quality, and more. Onefinity checked all the boxes and the capability of the Masso on the elite is just an amazing bonus.
@@Pleasant_Woodworks Thanks for the reply. How long have you had yours? Sounds like your happy with it. Any things you wish you could improve on it? I'm considering the Shapeoko, the Altmill and the Onefinity Elite and you have just "ticked" one more box for the Onefinity. THANK YOU!
The only thing I would change is if I had saved a bit longer and gotten 220v installed in my garage I would have gotten a 220 spindle. What I have works just fine but I think I could run it a bit faster if it didn’t draw too much power. I have stalled it twice. I’m assuming that was the issue or my feed rate was too fast.
I can not wait to get my machine.
It will be amazing when it does. Just wait you will see.
New to cutting boards is this board an end grain board
Yes it’s end grain.
Thank you so much for your video. My wonderfull husband died this summer. He was a Master Carpenter and so it seems fitting that I put his ashes in a wooden box. I have all his tools and he taught me how to do some wood butchery. I am going to make him a box following your instructions.
Sorry for your loss. If you need further help feel free to message me on Facebook.
@@Pleasant_Woodworks Thank you so much for your kindness. I may contact you if I have problems/ Psa 116:15
Gran trabajo, eres un artista, que Dios te bendiga
Thank you I appreciate it.
I wonder how it would have looked to put some epoxy in the deep part of the spade? Nice job!
Thank you. I thought about that but they wanted just wood.
I just watched the video of you setting up the touch probe and tool setter... It reminded me a lot of my first couple times running my first CNC. Now I'm waiting for my OneFinity Elite Journeyman and needed to learn a little bit... Saw your video and thought, "Ha! That was me the first time! I know exactly what he's feeling!" That was when I hit the subscribe button. Maybe one day I'll stop being lazy and make videos of my own...
Haha nice. Yea videos are fun but time consuming. I’m doing jack o lanterns now but no time to record.
I love the "...and pray she doesn't get mad at me." If your wife is like mine, then she will most certainly be mad at you for using her bowl in the shop.
lol you are correct. Thanks for the comment.
Looks good 👍
Thank you very much.
Another awesome project and video.
Thank you
Great video,,, very nice job keep it up
Thank you I’ll do my best.
Hi Vincent, great videos just wondering can I use easel pro on that system? Thanks again.
According to easel’s site their software works with onefinity machines but it’s not optimized for it. I use Vcarve pro and I love it. Although I haven’t used any other software. Thanks for the comment.
Great video, Vincent!! Thanks for taking the time to show us how to design this. Keep up the great work.
Thank you. I’ll do my best.
How do you find the Shaper Origin fits into your shop with CNC?
It works great for custom orders. I just got an order for drawer inserts for knives. Easy work for knives of different shapes and sizes.
Table salt will stop that side to side movement
I’ve heard of this trick. I haven’t tried it yet though.
Hey Vincent, I like the video and your designs for the drawer inserts. I would like to see more of the Masso itself. I've not found anyone who is doing a deep dive on it, esp. when using the 1finity. Thanks,
I’m still learning it myself. I do however am working on one video and I have a second one planned. I’ll try to get more into the masso on the second video.
I'm assembling my elite foreman. Did you have riser blocks on your rails? Much appreciated you ongoing assistance. Now that I'm doing this too, I have a better understanding of what you had to do. I very much appreciate you taking the time to document this especially now that OneFinity changed how they ship the machine.
My Foreman came with the risers not installed. I believe it was in a box in the large square box. Feel free to message me on Facebook at Pleasant Woodworks if you need help.
You do a fantastic job filming the assembly content. However your getting the shots of things in front of you while you're working on them is great. Most people have it off at one side. That first person view or whatever you'd call it is amazing.
I appreciate it. I try to make content for the beginner and want them to see what I see every step of the way. Thank you.
I just found your channel and I love it. My favorite TH-cam channels are the ones with small shops. Seeing the problem solving to maximize space is always so interesting to me. Plus I admit I love seeing people installing PwnCNC equipment and knowing at least a few of the part's and pieces came out of my tiny shop. Anyway I look forward to following your channel!!
I really appreciate your comment. Thank you. So far I’m pretty happy with my PWNCNC. Which parts are yours?
@@Pleasant_Woodworksanything HDPE and acrylic... so in this video both the side panel of the Enclosure and the 1/2" acrylic of the v10. I also do support if you ever have any issues.
what a cool idea using the unique patterns in the wood to create a pattern. first ive seen where someone does this. awesome idea!!! love the finish product.
Thank you. I appreciate it. Solid walnut looks great like that too. I may do a video of it.
Do you make your own wax/oil mixture for finishing? If so, what is your ratio of wax to oil? That looks thicker and better than stuff I’ve seen made/ have used for projects.
I do make my own at 4:1 ratio. Usually I do two cups wax to half a gallon of mineral oil. Both are food grade.
@@Pleasant_Woodworks thank you!
Bienvenido al peligroso mundo de las máquinas CNC, en el momento que tienes una CNC la cabeza explota llena de ideas y creatividad. Me alegro mucho, me encantan tus vídeos, eres un artista. (From Spain)
Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
bro great channel. one thing thats got me is i have to do a test speed before the masso will let me hit the spindle forward button...have you experience just powering up the masso and going straight into a carve without doing speed test.
Thank you for the compliment. I haven’t had to do a speed test at all. I haven’t used the spindle forward button though. I hit rewind then cycle start. Not sure if that helps. Feel free to message me on Facebook at Pleasant Woodworks and I can try to help.
Maravilloso trabajo, mis felicitaciones desde España.
Thank you.
Good video, thanks... Got my elite being shipped now :) ... Curious, who makes that bracket holding your dust hose to your spindle?
PWNCNC makes the bracket. Thanks for the compliment.
Does adding the tool setter take away some of the Y axis capacity? Is it now only 45.something inches instead of 48"? If so, is there any way to use the tool setter and not lose capacity of the machine? Maybe the side rails are longer than 48"? Thanks. I Enjoy your videos.
When you purchase their tool setter it ships with two screws to mount it to the table top off of the spoilboard so you don’t lose capacity. I believe most mount it on the front side of the spoilboard.
Vincent, I'm liking your vibe! Got my sub, keep it up. I'm a CNC noob as well. 🤘
I appreciate it Tek.
