I'm a jaded old vegan lefty, who just happens to enjoy completionist gaming, particularly when it comes to Metroidvanias and indie stuff in general. Here, I'll be uploading trophy/achievement guides, speedruns, and challenging gameplay segments. It's unlikely that I'll be able to put out videos with much frequency, however.
Thanks for watching!

GRIME | Dreamborn Terror Boss (The Nightmare Trophy)
Exclusive to NG+, you can locate this mirror match at the bottom of Childbed. After speaking with the Child's disembodied thoughts and defeating the DLC bosses, talk to them on the middle platform again to be warped into the fight.
Personally, I think the difficulty of this guy is a little overblown, because Surrogate Vulture probably took me more tries. It doesn't actually have that much HP, and its attacks are all fairly avoidable with a bit of practice. However, many people seem to have trouble with it, so I figured I'd upload this successful attempt. My "build," if it can even be called such a thing, was:
20 Health
20 Force
47 Dexterity
Chisel Nails +9
Huskroot Armor
The Vases trait maxed (Important! Uses breath bars as an "extra life")
Madrock trait maxed (easier parries)
Lurker trait maxed (gain health by attacking after parries)
Leaper trait maxed (stamina regeneration)
At least one point in the other parry-boosting traits
Carry lots of full breath droplets and Fetal Pearls
As you can see, the second phase was a disaster, but I was still able to recover and win, thanks to the Vase trait and healing gems. Spam parries during its regular attack combos, and retaliate to quickly leech your health back, while dealing plenty of damage. When it becomes evasive at half health, focus primarily on dodging, until it hovers in the middle, then pull yourself up and deliver an air combo with the buffed Chisel Nails for heavy damage. If you die, consume a gem to restore your breath bars as soon as possible. That's really all there is to it.
While they provide the highest DPS to my knowledge, a weapon with longer reach and more damage per hit would likely be superior to the Chisel Nails for this battle in particular. Substitute them for the Centipede Whip, Searing Sickle, or something of that nature if you wish. This might be even more effective, since you'll be able to get safe, reliable hits in during its pillar of energy attack, when it just stands there. Additionally, if you feel like scouring the map for hunt points, maxing out other parry-related traits like Fledgling Yr would make this fight far easier, I suspect.
Otherwise, I can't think of more tips at the moment, besides practicing, so best of luck to you!

While I played this level on the "Bananas" difficulty setting, I don't think it actually matters. Certainly one of the hardest stages to earn an S rating on, since there's almost no time for hesitation or mistakes, and you obviously can't afford alarms or deaths. Moving too fast in the beginning doesn't seem to be worthwhile, as you'll just end up waiting for the laser above the flippable table...
Tails of Iron | A New Warchief Rises Trophy (Bloody Whiskers Bosses)
มุมมอง 924ปีที่แล้ว
To earn this pesky bronze DLC trophy/achievement, it's necessary to defeat Warchief Green Wart on the Bloody Whiskers difficulty setting, which means finishing the entire game versus souped-up bosses who both move faster and hit harder. As usual on this channel, I prefer to show my first successful attempt at a boss-all 22 of them, to be precise-rather than practicing to achieve highly polished...
SUPERHOT | NORESTART Challenge (Safe Strategies)
มุมมอง 946ปีที่แล้ว
Well, the safest methods I could devise, at least. I played this almost too carefully; nothing flashy here, but it worked well. Camping in corners where you can melee enemies through a wall if necessary is an effective strategy for many maps. Throwing objects and guns is also overpowered, so I used that a lot. Don't forget to slow motion jump when you're in a jam to dodge bullets, too. Most imp...

A deathless run of "The Ancient Tower" in 06:06.76, beating Goo Shu's time to earn the "Towering Over the Competition" trophy/achievement. Simply a case of practice makes perfect, really. This final level brings together everything you've learned throughout the game, demanding around six minutes of flawless play to finish without dying. In particular, I found those air pipes controlled by the e...

By far, the three worst bosses to defeat hitless; the remainder are quite doable. Fortunately, the self-damage caused by using certain shards doesn't count against you, either. I beat Eos and Azikel in Arena Mode, but it was better to go after Drakmur and the others during a normal playthrough, since you can build for maximum damage output by killing as many bosses as possible (including DLC bo...

Fair warning: the game delves into legitimately disturbing subject matter and imagery. You may want to skip the scene that begins at 30:39 to 33:53, at least. That second phase just feels like "random bullshit go", very uninspired boss fight tbh Grime has some ups and downs and this boss definetely feels like a down. But good fight man
Thanks a lot! I've always found it a bit amusing how humanoid enemies who resemble the player character tend to be more challenging than enormous monsters in video games, haha. Regardless, I think other bosses, such as Surrogate Vulture and Misbegotten Amalgam, probably gave me more trouble than the Terror. The random nature of the attacks in phase 2 can certainly cause things to go haywire, mainly because of that giant version of the Terror firing projectiles in the background. Still, I did find it kind of exhilarating to dodge all of the nonsense being thrown at you, and The Vases trait provides plenty of room for error, allowing even players (like myself) who aren't fantastic at the combat to win this fight eventually. That is, provided they've saved up some Breathdew Droplets. By the way, TH-cam hid your comment from me, likely because you used the word "BS." Silly, I know, but other people may not be able to see it as a result. Just figured I'd mention it.
Thank you i've managed to get both Altruist and Egotist achievements
Well done, and you're welcome! I'm always very glad to hear that these videos were helpful to someone.
This really helped me. Thanks!
You're welcome! I'm very glad that this video was helpful to someone, and thank you for watching it.
Thanks🫡
Glad to be of help!
The only part of the game I don't like, really wish the devs tested this :(
Yeah, who knows how thorough quality assurance playtesting was at this point in game development history; seemingly not adequate, considering the unfairness of this encounter on the hard setting. Assumedly, it would be far more reasonable in the PC version, thanks to fast and precise KBM controls, but either way, it's disgustingly unbalanced on console. I certainly wouldn't fault anyone for just using cheats to deal with this scumbag, as doing it the "legit" way isn't even worth pulling your hair out over.
Oh damn I had to watch it twice to notice the glitch lol. I still really gotta give this game a proper playthrough someday.
Heh, it is quite subtle. Yeah, I can't get enough of Cage's amusing hackwork, and Heavy Rain offers plenty of unintentional laugh-out-loud moments.
@@jasonalbano5052 From watching my siblings play it when it came out I definitely remember it being pretty goofy, some of the voice acting gets kind of weird I recall. I'm thinking I'll play it in the summer once I clear out a somewhat small backlog of platinums I wanna get finished.
@@Spageos Indeed. One of my favorite bits is when two characters fall in love twenty minutes after meeting each other, and their love scene kinda looks like a couple of mannequins awkwardly bumping together. Well, best of luck with it! One trophy in particular tends to cause trouble for those seeking the platinum; if memory serves, it requires completing a finicky driving sequence without making a single mistake. It took several attempts to get right, from what I recall.
@@jasonalbano5052 I think I did see parts of... that particular scene, bloody hell. Yeah, I did notice that the driving sequence trophy is rough, actually saw my older brother clear it in 2011, looks annoying but manageable trial and error at least. Although I gotta say I'm impressed that you have a nearly 100 percent psnprofile, makes me wish I could delete the trophies of games I played but wasn't into back then lol.
@@Spageos Oh, I just realized that you're from PSNP; I think I saw you post some banger metal songs in the music thread, if I'm not mistaken. Thanks, I've always had a tendency to complete one game at a time, rather than starting multiple titles. This is largely because I have trouble remembering multiple control schemes simultaneously, haha. Yeah, I also wouldn't mind curating my profile by deleting some stuff, since I have several games on my profile with unobtainable trophies. It would be nice if Sony provided the option, although the trophy elitist types would complain to no end, as always.
Cant believe you beat the train with no power ups. Gg 👏
Oh, thank you, I appreciate the kind comment! Yeah, that boss was the "easy" part, really; actually reaching it is another matter entirely. Most attempts failed in the dreaded worm tunnel. It definitely required quite a bit of practice to achieve consistent play, in addition to plain ol' good luck regarding where the power-ups spawn and bounce around. I'd never want to try this challenge again, that's for certain.
Does TOI have ng+ or no?
No, it doesn't. After defeating Green Wart, the game just continues, allowing you to clean up anything you missed, and challenge the DLC bosses. I found no option to begin a NG+ playthrough.
@@jasonalbano5052 yeah I was about to NG it for the final dlc trophy but nah it isn’t worth it
Unnecessarily irritating trophy. Thanks.
Indeed the epitome of abysmal mini-game design. Glad to be of service.
how do you get so smooth movement on the valves with a controller?i can't do it unfortunately
Oh, the analog controls on console are definitely horrendous in this series, as I mentioned in the description. I reset the run multiple times, because I failed at throwing boxes, grabbing priest puzzle items, or turning valves. Adjusting the sensitivity settings might be helpful, but all I can recommend is either practicing, or switching to KBM on the PC version, unfortunately. Your analog sticks could also be going bad, if the controller has been heavily used; stick drift seems extremely common with the DualShock 4 in particular.
@@jasonalbano5052 thank you so much for the answer.great run btw
My pleasure. I very much appreciate the encouragement!
Can i use the flasks before the boss fight?
If I'm not mistaken, using flasks inside a boss room at all (before or after a battle) used to void the trophy/achievement in an older version of the game, but that issue should be patched by now. Still, if you want to play it extra safe and ensure the unlock, I would advise healing outside of boss screens only.
@Jason Albano Ⓥ issue is I used my flasks in the room before some bosses and fought with 0 flasks. Does this work?
@@iLLuMeNaTTi Fighting them with empty flasks should be fine; I don't see why it wouldn't be. Personally, I just avoided touching the flask button anywhere near boss arenas, but you probably don't have to be that careful, especially on the latest patch.
very impressive run, you really made it sound so easy lol! the first time I saw this game I had no idea what exactly is it, it felt like editing an action scene but then I learn everything will move each time you make a single move.
Hello there, good to see you again! I hope you've been well. The activity feed on PSN has been glitching out lately, mostly showing me stuff you did way back in September of last year for whatever reason. Hopefully, you'll upload another compilation of your Dreams sculptures here, since I can't seem to view them in the "What's New" section at the moment. Thanks a bunch. By the time this particular challenge unlocks, you'll have already beaten the game many times over, so it teaches you the map layouts and enemy spawn locations quite well. Personally, I'd say the RTA speedrun challenge is tougher than this one, because it largely forces you to play Superhot more like a standard shooter, at full speed. There are other challenges where time passes a bit faster as well, even when you're not moving. Around a 6/10 difficulty platinum, probably. Yeah, it's foremost a puzzle game, really. You're thrown into a variety of interesting scenarios, where you have to figure out the best course of action to deal with the encroaching red dudes (and there's tons of different methods to solve them). Despite playing the levels dozens of times by the end, I never once felt bored; such a fun, uniquely creative deconstruction of the FPS genre. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I purchased the stand-alone expansion (Mind Control Delete) before even finishing this one. I'll likely play that next!
oh, you can see my reply? Cool! I thought I was going crazy recently as I thought no one is replying to me on youtube as my mailbox have stop showing me new replies to my comments on YT but keeps showing me the last reply I got from someone that replied to me four months ago. I don't know how to fix this, although the irony is that ads and updates from Playstation, deviant art, TH-cam and Spotify keeps updating like everyday. I had to go back to this video to check if you replied to my comment. anyhow thank you, i'm fine, I got a nasty fever the time I thought you went radio silence and I even lost power to my house, thankfully everything is good now. I believe that I got a similar glitch like that you mentioned before, it got fixed with the latest ps4 stability update at the time. I also noticed that you keep login and out rapidly lately, and while I can see your latest trophies progression on the what's new, but I can't see your platinum trophy screen shots anymore. I even finished The Penitent One sculpture you asked for and released it, I have to made the other one from the Hotline Miami now, i'll post a new YT video to show them off once I done with the Hotline Miami one.
@@anasbakhit4303 Ah, that explains it! Very strange, and unfortunately, I don't know of a solution myself. Maybe you should report the issue to TH-cam support (if you haven't already), and do some Googling to find out if other people have dealt with the same problem? Hope you didn't think I was ignoring you (will never happen), and I'm glad you're doing okay! There might be a problem between our PSN account communication specifically, then, because I definitely haven't been logging in and out, and other random users have reacted to my screenshots recently. You might be able to see them in my profile's media section, but I'm not sure, since most of your new activities don't appear there. Wonder if there's a way for us to fix this... maybe if we delete and re-add each other? Only thing I can think of trying. Very excited to hear that you finished one of the sculptures I wanted, and thank you for spending your valuable time creating it! I'm just sad that I can't actually see it yet, since PSN sucks now. Can't wait for that video! I'll send you a PSN message to make you aware of this reply.
Very good run.
Hey, thanks for the kind comment! It's nothing compared to what dedicated speedrunners pull off, but I do enjoy finding my own "casual-fast" methods of doing stuff. Propane tanks are so broken in this game.
i remember i had severals tries, a lot to be honnest ahah, but when i finally beat him, i was about not hitten at all, once i knew his pattern verry well =). it was really awesome and his music theme is absolutly awesome. saddly on some other version, he has the regular boss fight theme and it's verry sad cause this boss deserve this theme he has on switch version <3 .
Same here, but certain other bosses were more difficult, I think. Interesting to learn that Rex's theme is different in some versions. If you enjoyed Slain, I strongly recommend playing the spiritual sequel, Valfaris. A very solid run 'n gun.
@@jasonalbano5052 well tbh i stopped after the kind of titan with a demon at its side (malikeh i think was his name) or the ice beast, i remember i beat both of em, i don't remember their order of appearance btw ^^). after that, the game became really too hard for me ^^. i don't btw think it's a complete fail, i am not used at games this hard so coming to this point was something ahah. so at this point, i challenged myself, it's a semie victory, i'm happy with this. i let professional completing these kind of games :D. i am more used of souls like and souls games (aside Sekiro that i have rage quit forever ^^ ) actually btw the boss that gave me the most tries (for what i made through the game) was the mother beholder. for me the most horrible boss and randomest gameplay i met for what i completed of the game ^^. i finally passed it, i not even know how i did xD.
Ah, fair enough; it's good to know your limitations. Personally, once I begin a game, I'm compelled to finish it, no matter how much suffering is involved, haha. Yeah, I remember the Beholder being one of the more irritating encounters. Think I had the most trouble with that same golem who's backed up by a little flying imp buddy (can't recall their name at the moment myself). I've played a ton of Souls myself, but haven't touched Sekiro just yet. Since I've always relied heavily on dodge rolling in those games, I'm somewhat worried about my ability to adjust to such parry-focused combat. Sounds rough, but I'll bite the bullet eventually.
@@jasonalbano5052 yeah, Sekiro is really based on parry thing, and it have so much different pary for attack coming from different angles. it's extremly tricky, and seeing no progress and more and more pain just killed the fun for me ^^. i think the only way to know if you like is to give a try, but i ensure you about these parry , it's true =). recently i have put my hand on the game "the surge", a souls like with robot zombies =). the game is a little old but still very good imo =). there's one i can advice to you if you didn't played it, Virgil the longest night =). while the gameplay is a little much bloodborne-ish, much fast and a hudge iga vania feeling :D. i really adored this game =). on a similar feel there's salt and sanctuary i can advice, if you didn't played :D
Oh, I believe you-others have told me the same regarding Sekiro, so I fully expect that beating it will require much practice and frustration. Perseverance is kind of my thing, though. The Surge series was pretty solid, I agree! I've platinumed both of them on PS4, and really enjoyed the limb-cutting mechanic. Hopefully, they'll develop a third one someday. Also finished up Mortal Shell recently, which I found well worth playing, due to the very cool Harden ability. Basically, you can transform into a statue at will, nullifying one enemy attack. A decent Soulslike, for sure. Funny that you mention Vigil, because it's actually been on my wishlist for quite a while. However, the PS4 version hasn't released (and may never), thus I can't play it yet. Didn't like Salt and Sanctuary too much, but it wasn't terrible or anything. Yeah, I absolutely adore Metroidvanias, and I've played loads of them, my favorite so far being Blasphemous. I'm planning to try Ender Lilies and Moonscars someday soon. Thanks for the nice chat!
Finally did it, 5 minutes ago. I can 100% confirm that the auto item pickup during the "time has stabilized" segment won't void the trophy. The only items affected by auto pickup are the score medals, and those won't void the trophy at all.
Well played! That's useful information, thanks.
4 hearts up to the final boss, let alone surviving back to back like this is a feat all on its own
Mad respects this has to be one of the hardest achievements
I really appreciate the kind comment! This indeed required many, many attempts. Usually, I died to bad RNG on the vampire lady, or made idiotic mistakes on the final boss, due to nerves. It was such a relief to get it done. I would say Challenge Mode might be even worse, though. 100% on this game was like pulling teeth.
I literally have these 2 left, I have never faced final boss on boss rush, I got to Prius 2 as my best (boss before the final) once legit, once thanks to a glitch (I died while Picking up a crystal And I had 0 health and 0 lives) it wouldn’t let me take damage (at Prius 2 I turned to shadow or Invincible randomly, when it faded out I just died) For me the Skelton heads get me, rarity the succubus chick, it’s skeletons or Prius 2, though if she spams her gems on bad RNG your done for I may have to comeback for this achievement (I’ve legit spent all of today on it) so giving you this update hahaha
@@brutalguts4637 Heh, I have no doubt you'll succeed with enough practice, friend. I recall thinking it was impossible initially, but I began to notice small improvements with each attempt, until this run just kinda happened. Interesting bug; I wonder if it could be reliably reproduced and exploited? Prius can be extremely irritating, since he can decide not to play the game by spamming his invulnerability move (at least, that's how I remember it; been a while). Had some really bad luck with that fight, too, come to think of it. Feel free to drop another comment when you eventually win, including any advice you might have-could be helpful to someone else. Best of luck!
Not yet
I get SO CLOSE
Nicely done. I just did it the second time recently and I got this on my first attempt too. Looks like everyone more or less uses the same strategy for grounded.
Thanks for the friendly comment! I believe speedrunners of this game have a great strategy for the bloater now, where they kill it with a rifle bullet to the foot before it drops down, but I wasn't aware of it at the time of recording this.
i'm a big fan of this.
Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement!
...Doozer, phase 2 - After he transforms into Rick from Splatterhouse 3, he'll fire projectiles in this pattern: high, low, high, high, low, low, high. Strike him several times, then retreat to the right side, and duck/jump as appropriate. Immediately following the final high projectile, he'll cause an explosion under you, so jump out of the way, towards him. Do this again to close the distance, then deliver a few slashes, before dodging the third explosion. Now he'll fire two low projectiles; jump over each, and hit him three more times. At this point, he'll prepare to charge across the screen, which does a lot of damage, so get ready on the right. When the boss turns white, jump a quarter-second later to avoid it, then slash him. The same pattern just repeats from here, so he's very predictable and fairly simple to beat once you practice enough. After charging back to the left, he won't charge again after the two low shots, and will instead do the long series from the beginning again; be ready for that. 11) Mobile Weapons Platform, I guess? - Your biggest enemy here will be nerves. It does the same two attacks over and over, so this is a test of your patience, consistency, and composure. Jump when the laser targeting beam disappears; make sure it's a full jump, by holding X. When the laser cannon rises, walk forward, crouch, and mash attacks to the left, which will destroy the incoming missiles. During all of this, you want to be jump-slashing the weak spot, although it's annoyingly invincible half the time. Don't get too close to it, as it will damage you when it glows. I found it best to time my jump by watching the grey area of the robot in my peripheral vision, since that makes it easier to see exactly when the orange line disappears. As you can see, I was one hit away from failure! That's it-enjoy your gold trophy, and probably the platinum. I recommend doing this mode last, so you have plenty of experience with the bosses. It's also a good idea to practice the final two in mission mode first, until you're very familiar. I made plenty of dumb mistakes in this video, so there's definitely a good margin for error. Hope this is helpful to someone!
Thank you, I already did this 3 times and didn't get the trophy but this time I did basically exactly what you did and I got the trophy. I think it's that you need to shut the door all the way for the third guy. All the othertimes I only shut it half way but he still lived but I didn't get the trophy so it's definitely glitchy.
Yeah, saving that detective in the flooded cell near the end can be iffy. Someone else in this comment section had the same problem. Happy to assist; glad you got it to work!
@@jasonalbano5052 Yeah for sure. Thanks a lot.
2 hours later i count down 3 seconds trying to get through the door until i fail
so what are youre Playthrough times now?
No idea-I platinumed and uninstalled this game years ago, so it's impossible to remember now. The time trials were very frustrating and took a ton of practice, that's for sure.
so this suspicious looking guy enter this high class hall wearing a ( look at me ) all flashy white with a propane flask and then a lethal explosion happen and someone got killed with this guy running away empty handed from the scene and no one expected a thing? I don't know how this worked but man its fun 😆
Haha, you've described the ridiculousness of the scene quite well! Laughable stuff like this is just part and parcel of Hitman, really. The "World of Assassination" trilogy certainly doesn't take itself too seriously. My favorite is when guards inexplicably decide to drag dead bodies right through the middle of a party, yet no one seems to care all that much. 😄 Propane tank explosions are always considered an accident kill, but one obviously can't shoot the tank in front of everybody, so the trick to this exploit lies in the Remote Breaching Charge you can bring into missions: use the item menu to drop the charge (the propane tank will automatically be dropped as well), then quickly run a few steps away and detonate. Easy accident, simple as that! NPCs won't have time to notice an illegal weapon was dropped, and it's a great way to eliminate targets in crowded areas, so long as you're careful not to catch any innocents in the blast. Creative players do all sorts of cool tricks with propane, actually.
I know that you probably had a heck of a time trying this over and over until you got it done, but man this is an entertaining run, the guys behind this game should consider to somehow get their hands on the Tenchu series and reboot them.
Very glad you think so! Yeah, the AI can be rather finicky on Master, so it took a fair number of attempts to figure out this route. The random head turning they do is incredibly irritating, and sometimes they suddenly get alerted by a sound they never heard before. That first target doesn't even become distracted by the briefcase half the time, so some other guy investigates instead. Argh! Sure, wouldn't mind IO doing a Tenchu (or ninja game in general). I believe FromSoft currently owns the rights, and considering some of the stealth gameplay in Sekiro, I bet they'd also do a fantastic job if they revived the series. A new Tenchu would be a dream come true for me, but at least we have stuff like Aragami in the meantime, which is actually quite good.
that sheare back throw kill is a big boss move lol! I have repeated that part of the video a couple of times 😃
Aw, thanks! Must admit, I improvised that at the last minute. Usually, she was well out of her safe room by the time I tranqed the final bodyguard, so I fully expected to have to punch her out, or simply shoot her. Guess I got there faster on this attempt.
Does this still count as suit only?
It sure does, which is a bit strange, I know. It's called the "Rave On Suit," and is classified as a suit by the game. It can also be unlocked for use in other missions by completing the "Rave On" challenge in Berlin.
Wow, you blew my mind. Wtg!
Appreciate it!
Hey! That looks awesome. Will it work via level select?
No, pretty sure you have to begin a new playthrough, and finish the entire game without deaths or restarts.
@@jasonalbano5052, yeah, I was just afraid to lose the progress.
I did the exact same methods you did but instead of getting the Altruist trophy I got the Vacillator trophy.
Saving the detective in the flooded cell towards the end can be finicky-that's likely why.
This trophy is bugged. Even if you "time" your presses, sometimes the game doesn't register it. I noticed this bug especially during the scene where you have to enter a passcode. The game wouldn't register almost any of my button presses, to the point I thought I broke my controller somehow. There's a solution FOR NOW as of 2021 to get around this bug. For people struggling with this trophy and not having a PS Vita, downgrade to 1.00. You can do this by using the PSX Download Helper available for free online. Note: this can only be done on the PS4 marketplace. PS5 will force you to download the game with the patch. This is not a problem on 1.00, as you can rapid fire. However, there are a few downsides: 1) You can't use any save files from 1.11, you even have to delete all of them. The game will freeze whenever Turing starts a dialogue when you start from a 1.11 save, even when you start a new game and 1.11 saves are present on your system. (Be sure to back up existing save files before deleting, just in case) 2) The skip dialogue option is not available (triangle button won't do a thing), so be prepared that this is going to be a slow playthrough. Don't combine it with Iron Rom either, because the game crashed on me near the end in the part where you open & close the doors. I highly recommend also buying a turbo controller, as it's cheap on Amazon ($20 give or take) and makes this a breeze to beat. I use my turbo for many platinum runs and it's a must have for true trophy hunters like myself with almost a 1000 star score on PSN. If you don't want to, you can still probably do this with a normal controller. It's SOOOOO much easier. This may seem like a complicated solution, but trust me, after almost 100 tries, this was the best solution, plus the developer isn't interested in any further future updates for their broken game. I was struggling to do this with the touchpad on 1.11 because of the horrible bugs, and I got my trophy after only two tries with the 1.0 rapidfire "downgrade" so I hope this helps someone else out, because it helped me get my Plat!
Since I played this quite long ago, I'm not familiar with any differences between versions, but that sounds like good advice. In any case, the shooter minigames had utterly horrific controls in the version I recorded this video on as well; success is half good luck, to be honest.
it doesn't work, no matter how much times i download it with psx download helper it always download at 1.11 version
Does the trophy work if I play the boss rush mode?
I have no idea; I didn't know there WAS a boss rush mode. Was that added in a recent patch? Sorry for the late response--TH-cam didn't notify me of your comment.
@@jasonalbano5052 you need to prove the dlcs bosses. the dlcs are frees in Ng+
Yeah, I've played the DLC multiple times now. Also finished all the penance challenges. Extremely good game!
This is so impressive also cause they didnt patch this method, they respect the hustle lol
Actually, I take it ALL back, it was patched, you cant caged the second target, Hitman Walkthrough are fucking pointless
Hadn't heard about this mission being altered; very unfortunate if true. I really liked this strategy.
The timing is so extreme, just gonna kill them in backwards order and wait around 5 minutes lol
Frote’s strategy done even a little smoother 👌🏻
nice speed run man 👍 I always wanted to play this game but when it's land on a sale it always comes with other games I wanted the most and I just skip it, been like this with me since years. if I exactly mimic your speed run and your base game's playthrough is it possible to beat it with no problems? also is the hostile inmates have exactly the same pattern and location or every playthrough is different? also its kinda sad of what became of this series as the second game didn't do great. speaking of old horror first person view games, are you interested in White Day: A Labyrinth Named School? I bought it last year dirt cheap for $4 but haven't start it yet.. kinda disappointed a bit when I heard you need to see all of the ending if you wanted the platinum, this multiple ending stuff is a part of my most hated kind of trophies.
Thanks, so glad you liked it! Concerning the Whistleblower DLC, everything seems to be quite consistent, yes. However, any hesitation can get you killed, so I recommend doing a practice run on Nightmare difficulty first. The only difference between Nightmare and Insane is that there are no checkpoints/saves on the latter, making it ideal for becoming familiar with the trickier sections. Most enemies must hit you twice in succession to kill you, allowing you to charge right past them when need be, but there are two pursuers who can instant-death grab you. Regarding the main game, I've never uploaded a run for that (didn't have a YT channel back then), so you must be thinking of someone else. Kind of wish I had, though! It was around seven years ago, but I do remember the Insane playthrough there being a bit harder than Whistleblower's. The biggest challenge is getting lost, because despite the overall linearity, the environments can be very maze-like in the dark. As you saw here, I got confused on a number of occasions. We agree on Outlast 2. How Red Barrels went from the uniquely disturbing body horror in Whistleblower, to making a generic horror game ridden with frustrating trial and error is beyond me. Maybe their upcoming "Outlast Trials" will be a return to form? Hope so. I am very interested White Day, but I've avoided buying it thus far, since I've heard that earning platinum is a massive time commitment, and the game is supposedly buggy. When you get around to playing it, let me know what you think! Who knows, you might be able to convince me to try it, like you did with Revelations 2.
@@jasonalbano5052 about that base game play through, yes I did mistaken you with someone else, I believe I watched someone did a run without using the night vision of the camera, that was way back before I even get a ps4.
It took me 2 hours and 3 separate saves and about 8-10 reloads to do this mission Silent assassin suit only [requiem suit] and i thought i was badass then i watched this
Honestly, I'm impressed if you can do SA/SO on Sgail by other methods; I absolutely HATE trying to sneak through this level from a different insertion point! It did take me a fair number of attempts to get the method right, though (around 15). Thanks for watching!
This is brilliant
Thanks a lot!
Is there something specific that your looking for for the first target ? Do you wait for her to move then shoot? And do we have to start the wake for this to work ?
There is a specific timing for the chandelier shot, but it's been a long while since I've played this, so I unfortunately can't clarify more than that. Just try to replicate when I do it. Triggering the ceremony draws out the second target.
I ended up getting it it was all about the timing and shooting the chandelier once I saw 1:16 on the clock , thanks for the clip 🙌🏽
Great to hear! Nice job.
So inconsistent for me - either the guard in the morgue turns and sees me running by; the chandelier doesn't hit Sophia perfectly or Zoe sends her guard to investigate the impact near the cage... Really bad RNG :/
Sorry it's not working out for you. What this video doesn't show is the 15 failed attempts it took me to get this right, haha. If your positioning or timing is slightly off, any of the problems you mentioned can occur. I'm sure there are easier methods out there.
That was insane
It's a really fun method, and much easier than sneaking through the level normally. Thanks for watching!
Incredible... and the first run I've seen to include the wake, that's a really cool addition
Thanks a lot-I can't take too much credit, since I just combined/modified two methods I saw on TH-cam in the past. Getting the execution right took quite a bit of practice, though! If your timing or positioning is off on the first target, either the chandelier will miss her, or you'll be spotted. I believe one player used the pistol for both shots, but I found that difficult on a controller.
that Halagaz lighting lady sound really frustrating to deal with, is this game a boss rush only? I mean I heard and knows about it, but this video of yours is the very first time I seen it's game play. though the bosses designs looks cool.
It's essentially a boss rush game, yes. Each boss is preceded by two unique areas with some puzzles and sparse enemies, which must first be completed to unlock the boss door, but they mostly serve as breaks between the encounters. Many players seem to consider Hagalaz the hardest, but I had a lot more trouble with Odin, due to his random summons. Jotun actually received a pretty good critical reception at release, and I agree that many aspects of it are fantastic, but the unfair boss design really hurt my opinion of the game.
Continued from above: 5. Hagalaz (11:43) - Surprisingly, not that terrible if you efficiently use your abilities. She ends up being the fastest boss! What you see in this video is roughly the same as Shilag's method, so credit to them. Timing Loki's Decoys correctly is the main thing, then pop Freya's Speed and position yourself south of whichever tower a clone is near, before activating Thor's Hammer and pounding away. Repeat, and she's done for. Some luck on where her copies spawn is absolutely necessary, but this is FAR easier than trying to knock her out with the towers. If you mess up, it's better to just restart than deal with the sparks. 6. Odin (12:50) - Captain RNG here isn't too horrible when you can use powers against him. The final phase is garbage, so save Heimdall's Shield if possible, to mitigate the unavoidable nonsense. Drop Loki's Decoy to attract his spears and the summons' attention, then use Freya's Speed & Thor's Hammer to wallop. Learning to immediately hit Odin's center spear as soon as he throws it gives you more breathing room, and additional time to hit him, but that's more important for a no powers kill. You can use your own spears to help cut the terrible final phase short. Bonus: Hagalaz, Shun the Gods (15:18) - Has to be one of the worst fights, due to the randomness of it all, but not as bad as no powers Odin. She actually doesn't have much HP. The key is patience-try to rush this, and you'll always lose. After she splits, focus entirely on running a lap around the arena to energize the towers and knock her out. Try not to miss any like I did, because you really don't want to be running back past active towers. If her copies collapse next to each other, you can often get multiple heavy attacks in, shortening the battle considerably. Takes some luck, but you'll get comfortable with this one after practicing a bit. Odin, Shun the Gods (22:03) - I practiced this crap for nearly five hours, and half of my failed attempts weren't even my fault! So many things can go wrong in the final phase, so you just have to keep grinding until you get a good pattern, and have enough health to survive the onslaught. Learning the timing on instantly whacking his center spear as he throws it is quite tricky at first, but becomes muscle memory eventually. You kind of take a few steps to his right and swing. Your axe hitbox lasts a while, so hitting them in general is somewhat forgiving if you swing early. Removing the center one immediately provides you enough time to hit him with two heavy attacks, and gives you more breathing room during the jötunn summons, so it's basically required. So glad to be done with this game!
man this looks impossible, congrats for unlocking this nonsense trophy, it's already sound hard for one level, imagine beating the whole game like this... I can't resist picking up power ups on shmups like this, and boy I can already imaginings myself F bombing the whole people who made this game 😂
I'm grateful for the encouragement, thanks! Haha, it did take a while to train my brain that pick-ups = bad. So annoying! Sometimes, you've got to wonder what the heck a developer was thinking when they designed stuff like this. A fair challenge can be enjoyable, but I can't imagine how masochistic a person would have to be to play the entire game on Insane at all, let alone without upgrades. It's definitely not for me! Thankfully, the highest difficulty you need to finish is Hard, which is manageable with practice. While rank "A" on all the levels is required, it almost takes care of itself, since you need to play well on Hard just to survive. The reflection shield ability is incredibly overpowered, and probably the only reason I was able to 100% the game.
much respect, man. I struggled to 100% something like Nano Assault Neo-X, no way I'll gonna platinum this which was already considered a hard game.
I really appreciate it! I've only been able to finish a few levels on Veteran so far, so I'm probably a good distance from the platinum myself. The stage 5 boss is a nightmare on that difficulty, and it's hard enough just to reach him in a playthrough. This game requires serious practice!
props to you my friend :) I never played Bound before but it kinda looks complex, especially in the beginning, I had no idea what are you doing or where are you going with all the stuff going on at the screen lol! thanks to your video I just learn it's a 3D platformer, I really thought it's a rhythm game mixed with some sort of a walking simulator. kinda reminds me of gravity rush somehow.
Hey, thanks for watching! I felt exactly the same way the first time I saw a run of it, and when I began playing I was totally lost. Eventually, though, you get the hang of the weird mechanics, and it sort of becomes second nature. The game is really built around speedrunning, so there are quite a few "out-of-bounds" shortcuts and crazy jumps-I actually skipped a long section with two cutscenes right at the beginning! It's also vital to move around using that rolling long jump as much as possible, since it's way faster than normal running. It's an incredibly novel, unique, and artful game, but unfortunately, I don't think it truly succeeds from a gameplay perspective. I had endless frustrations with the stubborn camera and overwrought dancing animations. Making a good 3D platformer is difficult at the best of times, and I think this one is so ambitious that it sacrificed playability. I couldn't say it's one of the best games I've played this year, but it's certainly the most interesting! The developers deserve respect for trying something legitimately different, even if it doesn't quite work.
good game and cool vid 👍 I can see a room for improvement if you wanna attempt this again. though, is it possible to do all of this with no damage? I heard this game is a bit difficult.
That's totally doable, but I didn't see much point in spending the time to grind them, since it isn't necessary for platinum. I kind of like how fair this trophy is, considering that a good number of 2D action games expect you to defeat bosses with no damage, and that becomes overwhelming after a while. I did happen to no-hit Warden and Ten Piedad when I did the speedrun trophy after this, though. The first playthrough is pretty fair, but New Game+ mode is harder: it imposes one of three selectable "Penance" limits on your character at the start, you take more damage, and it features four exclusive new bosses (tough ones!), so I'll probably record and upload those fights eventually. It's an addictive game, for sure!
Damn cool strategy
It certainly is! It's actually a mixture of two methods I saw in other videos (can't recall by whom, since this was months ago). Getting the first shot off on target 1-accurately, and without getting spotted-can be finicky, but the second target is easy enough. This mission is a nightmare to do otherwise. I hope this video was helpful, and thanks for watching!
what is the differences between the game that only called Momodora and Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight. is this a sequel or something?
From what I understand, there are actually 4 Momodora games, with this one serving as a prequel to the previous titles. Most of the others weren't released on mainstream platforms, which is unfortunate, since it seems like a decent series. Their newest game, Minoria, also looks pretty good. I might pick it up eventually.
@@jasonalbano5052 wow, I had no idea this have some sort of a series. I really though this is just a one and done game and the devs will move up to a new and different game. by the way, this is a good video, sound annoying to attempt but good game.
@@anasbakhit4303 Thanks, buddy! Yeah, the Brazilian development studio, Bombservice, has actually been making games for a while now. Honestly, I found the trial and error nature of the game pretty off-putting early on, but I eventually adjusted, and had a good time in the long run. I guess it's fitting that the protagonist is so fragile, considering that she's essentially a warrior nun on a futile quest to purify the cursed land, by slapping demons with an oversized maple leaf! Kinda wish the game was more story-heavy, because the world is surprisingly interesting.
