    I wonder, if you like to do larger pieces, if ,for example, legs of the horse have to stick out that much as in reality would do? Or is it enough to "catch the shadow" of it? If anyone understands my question, i would be pleased to get an answer....greetings from germany..!

      Hello Germany! Yes, you can make this more a bas relief sculpture. It does not have to stick out as far as mine did. I was just showing how I was inspired by a sculpture that stuck out a lot.

      Thank you. This is for my school classes, so I want my kids to see that mistakes happen, not to freak out about making mistakes, but problem-solve to figure out how to fix the problems.

      @@christineevans8126 Haha! I wasn't even looking at the background! My students know that I have to record from my computer, which reverses the image. When I have to show words forward, I have to write them backwards so the kids see them forwards!

    Which brand of underglaze are you using ?

      Duncan Design Coat and Gare Underglazes. I think any brand would work as long as you watered it down and used it on a matte glaze and not a shiny glaze.

      Not usually with poured ceramics. I will if it is hand-built though.

      @@janicehowell8512 I work at a ceramics shop and we clean them while wet, but everyone that I have seen on you tube waits till they are dryer than we do . I was just wondering why. I guess there are as many ways to do it as there are people who clean them.😀

    Why do you flip your videos when you load them to TH-cam!? I know you’re right handed but in the film you look left handed. Your wedding rings are on the left hand. The labels behind you read backwards too.So why?

    I live on the outskirts of San Diego do you live anywhere close to me? I would definitely go and see your drawings! I'm very creative in clay jewelry but not drawing. The girl I work with does scratchboard, it's fantastic. You are right up there with her I'm totally Blown Away!

      Oh yeah, I did forget to show that one. It didn't turn out like I expected. The inside turned out really great, but the area I used the crayon just looked like I didn't get enough glaze on it. I think I would have to use the real deal and a thicker wax.

    I watched all of those videos prior to this video and you were so entertaining, you made me laugh and you taught me different techniques. Thank you for showing the after effect they turned out gorgeous! All the mistakes? There were none, because they all turned out gorgeous! I'm going to Start a small class in my garage and I love the balloon Bowl. Great for a first project for beginners two teach how to roll a slab and to finish clay . The technique with the sea sponge was fabulous. Keep On Keepin On girl you're doing a great job :-)

    I always thought of or tought by teachers that you cannot use underglazes on top of glaze becose it makes pinholes or other things. how does yours come out thank you . my mail incilakay@yahoo.com love from Turkey.

      It turned out beautifully! It looks like watercolor has been painted onto the pottery. I think it is because I used a matte glaze and not a shiny glaze. I also watered down the underglaze. I didn't know if it would work; I had just seen it somewhere and thought I would try it. I should try to load a picture on here to show you.

    First lesson - make sure you have enough glaze! Was this a lesson in how NOT to glaze the interior of a pot?

      As you can see, I accidentally spilled some of it and I DID have another container. Accidents that happen on the video are explained so that when students come up against these problems in class, they know how to fix them. It's ok for them to see mistakes.
