Preparations for the warm weather and coming thaw. This video is filmed 2 days after the previous video (April 7th) This is my last run for the season. Testing the Stark AL4200 plow again, switching to the old plow with the side wing plow and finaly doing some work with the big bucket. A season finale of the snow plowing season 23/24

Well, I just had several moments of fun looking up Walpurgis and the bonfires you have as you welcome in the wonderful month of May. I live in northern Wisconsin, where snow piles are common until May, so I know that late winter burning of brush piles can be lots of fun, if you bring hot chocolate and cookies with you!!!
Glad to be of cultural assistance 😁 yes it is nice with bonfires, and the tradition is kind of a get-out-of-the-house excuse to just watch the fire and casually interact with your neighbors and friends. 👍

i think the angled plow just isn.t right for your context. i.d guess it.s not designed for articulated vehicles (harder to keep track), uneven surfaces (more often in danger to get thrown out of track) and slow speeds (not actually throwing the snow).
I think your are right. A bigger machine both weight wise and horsepower would probably mange this plow much better

Great video Nicklas! We have had a way below average snow year. Since my region of country depends on snowfall to melt off for our drinking water, we are concerned. Looks like you got all the snow this year! :):)
Oh, I’m sorry, would send my snow if I could! We get our water from drilled wells, so indirectly we depend on rain or snowmelt, but the main part just flows out in the ditches, creeks and rivers to end up in the sea.
@@neriksso I live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. In the western US, the land is arid. We depend on our snow melt to fill reservoirs from which our water is sourced. The snow melt has a long way to go to get to the oceans. :):)
@@mikehomner4724 that’s very interesting, never really thought abiut it. Water is plenty hereabout. We have a drilled well on the property about 30m deep, gives us all the water we need at perfect drinking quality all year.
Now you mentioned it, it.ll be interesting to see we all that water goes to once the snow is melting
I will try to document the process 👍it doesn’t go away that smoothly every year. But it’s not always the year with a lot of snow that’s an issue. The intersection down at the main road is at a low point and it usually gets flooded. But let’s see what happens this year.
I think I will do a follow up of the amount of snow in a couple of weeks…

Exactly! I’m reminded of when I got my drivers license, it was early April a lot of years ago, and I was driving on dry asphalt with my summer-tires on the car and snow were patches here and there. Quite the difference from this year

Due to some issues with the video production (and other life priorities) this was released a bit late, and the next plow run was done quite soon after in A LOT of snow.. that video is soon to be released. Stay tuned!

Nice snow..we’re done with snow in our area of the states..which is Michigan..we might see a snow storm..around the mid to end of March..that will be the last one til next winter
We can have full winter to beginning of April, but it differs quite a bit between years.
@@neriksso a few years ago..we had snow..up to the first of June at our house..we live next to a lake..so we also get the snow effect..I was mowing the lawn in mid May..then we had our little storm come thru..lol

We had Friday -Saturday over 25cm snow and then it rained water and then temperature git again below zero so very interesting weather, Snow plows had some problems also but now streets are clean again
Rain wintertime is not good! It’s been an interesting winter to say the least! And it’s not over yet 😊
That sort of plow is great for on a highway when you have enough speed and clearance to discharge the snow. Not so much for slow going on a forest road. You made it work. I can see where your plow with the wing would work much better here.
I think you are absolutly correct! 👍I will use the other plow with the side wing next time I'm doing something like this!
