I see your point that there’s no pvp, but that doesn’t make these bundles any less predatory in a p2w sense. With hp inflation and powercreep becoming increasingly problematic for f2p players, any form of advantage that can be bought with real money is p2w by definition. Until hoyo addresses these problems, I’m still considering hsr a p2w game since winning in hsr is clearing endgame content and it’s borderline impossible to max clear endgame with 1.x units and 4 stars. Also, relics have been the only source of fair comparison between players for the longest time since money couldn’t buy you better relic luck. Now these new bundles completely change that fairness aspect

If you Chase every new character and dont Safe stellarjades for Units your 5 Stars would benefit of. Then its your Problem. If you want to clear content with 1.x characters, you have to Safe stellarjades until their rerun and get eidolons or their lightcones. Get their Premium Supports and so on. I for example clear content with ruan mei, Kafka, black swan and huohuo. Since today i 3 Star everything with them. I did vertical Investment and got their lightcones and eidolons. In Return i didnt pull for newer characters. My Second Team is a Acheron Team with her Premium Support jiaqiou. You have to spend stellar jades wisely as f2p and then you can clear content. It is how it is. You cant have everything If you dont spend Money.

I promise you that hp inflation and powercreep are not ‘you’ problems 😭😭 again I agree w your points about how f2p players can just save and invest vertically, but across every major hoyo game there has never been a way to directly pay real money for better relic quality, and hsr breaking that standard with these premium bundles is clearly just corporate greed. Getting better relics and ‘rolling better’ has always been a form of vertical investment too, just like pulling for limited eidolons or supports. The difference this time is while f2p players can save for limited eidolons and supports, these bundles are literally impossible to obtain without spending real money. Hsr is already the most profitable hoyo game now, and 3.0 will only solidify that title. Instead of creating new methods of monetization, hoyo should actually listen to the community and address the powercreep and hp inflation problem plaguing their game for months.
