Bates the Great!! I love that kid. If you don't Jake Bates' backstory, look him up. He never attempted a field goal in college. His first professional try was a 64 yarder with the Michigan Panthers this past spring in the USFL. They blew it dead cuz of a time out so it didn't count. He tried the same kick again as the time expired and nailed it again. He hit two 64 yard fields goals to win the game. I instantly fell in love with that kid and was so happy the Lions got him. He was selling bricks in Texas this time last year. One final thing, our Defense played amazing, without Hutch, and with De'Zarius because the Lions game him the week off. We get healthy, it's going to be an exciting end to the season. Like you said about Goff, those first 3 picks don't count, I'm not too worried about him, even on his worst day we still one and that's something to be happy about. Another great video.
