My dad worked for Bill Rapp Pontiac in the 60's and I remember him working on a black 62 Catalina race car! I've owned my 68 Firebird for 50 years, and still race it.

Trying to track down my 57 Chevy convertble. was sold to Rod Piazza Nov 1989 when I was living in West San Fernando Valley. i have a copy of old registration with VIN, and Bill of Sale to Rod. Unable to trace current owner .with online VIN search since old VIN format not included in online data base I'm told state DMV has more complete data base, but public cannot access, only law enforcement. Any help very much appreciated. Hope you can reunite me with my 57.

I’m not a GM fan but this is a good story. For me, the one that got away was a dark green ‘70 Mustang Mach. I let it go when gas shot up to $1.00 a gallon. The hour commute each way to college was becoming too expensive.

Back in the early 1980’s I had a 1966 mercury S55 convertible. The S55 was the option with the 428 super marauder engine. I had no idea how rare that car was. I have found out there was possibly around 300 built. It’s one of the rarest mercury’s ever built. (Dave in central California)

I had a SS RS it was originally a 396 but I bought it with out the engine and used a 350 and changed it to a 4 speed because automatic suck

Would enjoy finding out about a 70 Yenko LT1 I built the engine back in late 76 or 77. Belonged to a High School buddy of my Brother, the engine spun a bearing, we bought a stock steel crank & rod from Chevrolet, repainted the car blue, it was a color change from Red years before. It was sold to a local Air Force guy that I hear ran into financial problems and he began parting it out in our town, I moved to New Orleans and lost track of the car or what was left of it. It may well be languishing in a back yard there in town.

Cool story. I have a 69 r code drag pack Mach 1 that I bought in 1984. I have the Emminger paperwork but never bothered to get a Marti report. It was dso code Indianapolis and sold at Smart and Perry Ford. That dealership is long gone and The BMV will not give out past history of ownership. Im thinking a drag racer had it. It had the shaker and fold down rear seat,Acapulco blue, 4.30 diff , drum brake , manual steering, AM 8 track, black interior. I would like to know who originally purchased it new but not sure how to research it. Someone might remember it.
