Ciao, i tuoi video sono bellissimi. Li riproduco mentre studio, mi fanno compagnia e sono il sottofondo ideale. Grazie, continua a pubblicarne! 🫶
GREAT JOB, I hope this channel and your other italian channel both take hold and spread much needed urban planning consciousness to italians and europeans :)
I really appreciate your comment, thanks :)
Grazie, hai ragione. Ho alcuni video in arrivo su Germania e Austria :)
This is a really well made video!
Thanks :)
I saw from thailand in asia.
Bullshit
I'm pretty sure most places do this just different colors but cool I guess. Paint
I've seen this in Italy, Austria and Germany for now.
best kind of design - intuitive. Knew the second you said red and showed it, why they are painted that way
What country is this and what city 😮
This is Brixen/Bressanone in Italy.
Even though bike gutters are not infrastructure, sometimes they are the first step towards greater awareness
hahahahaha nono, im a dutch person from the Netherlands and i can tell you, we are number 1 best with bicycles and bicycles never cause traffic jams
Ja zeigs den miesen Autofahrer ☝️🧐 We cyclists are the best 🫶

Hey that's a good idea I usually look for electric vehicle parking I have a gas car
That is not a bike lane, that's the road's shoulder. If you dont know it you shouldnt even be on the road.
Hi, I'm sorry but I know the infrastructure where I live, that is a bike lane. It's a low quality one but it is one.
Are you a vehicle or pedestrian, you can't have it both ways
I was on a bike so I'm considered a vehicle. Coming from a (very bad) bike lane and crossing on a pedestrian and cycling intersection.
I ride an electric scooter. And my bike and it sucks at these cars have the audacity to park where we need to ride. And then we have to go out in the road and people don't give us the courtesy on the road. What a shame. What does shame on all those people that Park where we need to ride
It is a shame. Hopefully, more people preferring bikes or scooters over cars when they are not needed will eventually raise awareness!
Car drivers pay the heavy taxes and fees for driving. Bikers just wheeze from everyone else.
Hey :) Car drivers pay taxes and fees partly because cars can cause significant wear and tear on roads and can be dangerous. However, cyclists also pay general taxes that fund infrastructure and many are car owners as well. Road infrastructure benefits everyone, and promoting cycling helps balance transportation by reducing congestion and pollution while making communities safer and healthier.
@@SharedSpacesCities nah
Womp womp. Bike on the sidewalk tall annoying af to drivers and don’t stop at lights or stop signs.
While some cyclists may occasionally ride on sidewalks or ignore traffic signals, this behavior isn’t representative of all cyclists, just as not all drivers run red lights or stop signs. Most cyclists follow the rules, and promoting safe, shared road use benefits everyone.
@@SharedSpacesCities the ratio of cars running lights vs cyclists is almost non existent lmao. here in canada biggest problems are the cyclists on the road
the problem is the road design and lack of infrastructure
Who do you think has priority here?
The car...
Lots of things going on here. It is impossible to judge who was right or wrong since we can't see you in the video. Unless you gave a proper hand signal to indicate you were about to turn in front of that car they had no idea you were about to leave a driving lane and enter a pedestrian cross walk to jump in front of them. I feel like it would have been a safer maneuver to enter the sidewalk at the previous parking lot turn off and properly enter the cross walk so the driver knew your intentions to cross.
He is still riding his bicycle on a pedestrian catwalk, just another entitled biker that ruins it for all of us…
Wait, that is also a cycling crossing and I stopped for the car before the driver did. I don't see any entitlement. The situation there is a little bit more complicated, I'll make a video about it.
Not even a bike lane
It is. Could be better but it is.
That is clearly a bike lane.. That's not a parking a spot..
Oh shut up. It’s the edge of the road
It's a live lane. If you're going to park in a live lane, why not park in the lane your meant to be in.
Thank you for letting me know how's the infrastructure where I live.
no sign that sodesnt say u cant and u were too far to the left wen the car came past so stfu
Hello, you don't need road signs for these kinds of bike lanes, just markings. Could be better indicated nonetheless :)
Poor little snowflakes
Calling someone a 'snowflake' suggests they’re overly sensitive, but concerns about road safety and following traffic rules are important for everyone. Safe road use is about protecting all road users, whether they’re drivers or cyclists.
This NOT what you could call a bike lane!!There must be a separation between the car lane and the biker lane!A REAL separation!!You could get it higher up like the pedestrian lane..And so make it impossible to park there! It also can be a bit wider..
Hi, good point! Yeah, absolutely, protected bike lanes would be best to avoid parked cars. However, in Europe, especially in residential areas, bike lanes like these are widely used since they're cheaper and faster to build while providing good awareness of cyclists' presence. Sometimes, separation could also give drivers a false sense of safety, resulting in speeding. In this particular case, it is just a matter of a lack of civic sense (very common in Italy, unfortunately).
@@SharedSpacesCities O yes! That is clearly the case. But i have the situation in the Netherlands as a example how to do it.We started about 30 years ago,so we had al the fights with the car owners. And you know, they are also bike owners now..And than they themselves had all the trouble with other only car owners. So dont think it wil be better in a short time.
@@SharedSpacesCities Yes!Of course, but when you as a country start making bike lanes, you better made them very obvious!Because you have to fight against the lobby off the car drivers! In time, when there are a lot off bike lanes, than it is not so necessary to do this kind off bike lanes anymore.
You're right.
The Netherlands also has a lot of unprotected bike lanes, don't you see situations where cares are parked on them?
Drivers hate on cyclists for being on the roads then park in their designated lane...
✨the paradox✨
Where are you at and I see on both sides are bike line so where are they really good to park if needed? Also you probably don't obey all rules because here none do. So if they don't obey certain rules and you don't who are you to even make this video?
Hi, this is Reggio Emilia, Italy. Parking is not a civil right, so you don't "need" to park unless it's a health emergency. I don't know what "here" you're referring to. Just because some don't follow the rules doesn't mean we should passively accept these dangerous behaviours. I personally don't park where it's not allowed.
What does a broken white line mean? It certainly doesn’t mean no crossing or parking. There are no solid lines kerbside indicating parking restrictions. You’re just another cyclist that doesn’t know what they’re talking about. How about actually learning the laws before you put out an ilinformed video out that just makes you look entitled and ignorant.
Hello, Thank you for your *insightful* explanation. However, it’s important to emphasize that we cannot condone illegal behavior by any road user, including car drivers. I just see another user that does not acknowledge the entitlement often shown by car drivers (like here). Regarding road law: the dotted line separates the center lane from the bike lane. When it’s dotted, cars may temporarily use the bike lane if necessary, such as when two cars cannot fit side by side from opposite directions. However, cars must always give priority to cyclists. Under no circumstances are cars allowed to park there, as it is designated for bike transit. Hope that helps you see me not that ignorant.
If parking was illegal there as you say, where are the road markings to indicate no parking?
For the same reason why there are no parking zone markings on car lanes or sidewalks. You can't park on sections dedicated for the transit of road users (being vehicles or pedestrians).
Learn to share
@@SharedSpacesCities so you’ve just confirmed what I’ve said. There are no road markings there indicating no parking restrictions. Thank you.
Katastrophe! 😂 Rlly
Fr so annoying
Yeah but why are the pedestrian lanes so small that you can only walk in a line if there are people coming towards you. But the bike lane can fit 4 bikes. Sry pedestrians also need big lanes.
I absolutely agree! Space should be equally distributed. Anyway in this example 2 people can easily walk abreast.
Mixed use paths work in rural areas. Granted, the markings with such dimensions are useless, but still.
Yes instead of taking parking away from the street.
Ho, so you think it's better like this?
It's called a multi-use path
It's not, and probably that makes it even worse in a way
I see no conflict, you’re just delusional thinking because you’re on a bicycle you have preference. The pedestrian even went out of his way not to interfere with your bike.
The pedestrian having to get out of the way *IS* the conflict. Because the bike path is on the sidewalk with limited space.
Get a car then
I own a car, anything constructive to add?
Spain ?
This is Bologna, Italy.
Bikers suck. They dont deserve any infrastructure.
Thank you for letting us know 😍
Two adults adulting …..until you posted it 😖 you were doing so well
What do you mean exactly?🥺
Cycling lanes on pavements have always been a bad idea
It used to be illegal in the UK to ride a bicycle on the pavement. In this case, the car was there first & the cyclist wasn’t inconvenienced in any way. There are no signs or road markings to show who has priority. So I’d say the cyclist feels entitled. That isn’t a “right”.
So true but they are still built like that nowadays unfortunately.
This is a legal bike path on the sidewalk so there's no entitlement, it's the road code. And the car has a yield sign. The dotted lines across the bike path means cyclists have priority, that part is also painted in red to get more attention. Anyway no doubt this is also a bad design.
Entitled cyclist. "Share the road" goes both ways.
What's the entitlement here, exactly? There's nothing to share: cyclists have priority on that intersection and the car didn't care to look before crossing. Still this is a bad design with bad visibility, no doubt!
Good question
Car pays to be on road so car wins.
Roads aren't just paid for by roadtax, the infrastructure is way too expensive for that. Cyclists pay taxes too and doesn't harm roads nearly so much.
There isn't a single video without this rhetorical comment. Everyone pays for road infrastructure through general taxation.
He got there first
I think they should have slowed before crossing considering the low visibility. That doesn't change the design is bad.
What does this change? The cyclist needed to slow down but is in the right.
Not really sure what the car did wrong.
Probably should have slowed down before stepping on the zebra crossing. It didn't seem like they checked for pedestrians or cyclists. There's a yield sign for cars.
Cycling is dangerous and should now be banned from public roads to ensure the safety of cyclists
Let me guess, North American?
car parked on the sidewalk?
I checked that part and it's a private property so parking is allowed for the owner.
Cycle path, and the arsehole cyclists cannot keep in it, riding two abreast.
They care more than my city. We don’t have a single Bike icon painted on the sidewalk in a city of 45,000 poeple.
I can imagine. What's the name of the city?
Very informative video; keep up the great work!
Thank you!
Beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
