Why Retro Archaeology and Early VHS Memories
Thanks for the shout out babe! Can’t believe James Bond was afraid of a cute little spider!
Good Review!
Great video! I had never heard of these drawer box versions before. Happy to be your 100th subscriber!
THANK YOU! 🎉 The drawer boxes are definitely harder to find! Ran from the 70s to around 1984 then it was slip and clamshell only lol
Cool Halloween poster btw
Thanks! Definitely a favorite piece of art in the house!
multiple 28 days later ?!!
How much are some of those tapes worth?
Some magnetics are rarer like the planet of the apes magnetic can run $75-$100 the others will mostly be $20-30
Your grandma sounds awesome.
she sure was! wish she could see MY VHS collection now!
28 days later. Recently read that the dvd is selling for a lot bc it was taken off streaming platforms
dude they had back to the future thats worth at least 7 million dillars
Cool video. Everyone will always say “why didn’t you grab that” for me. It was “The Vanishing Point” but nice pick up’s. All in on Altered States! 🎉
You got some great titles!😊
Fun stop!
It’s great to see someone with a real passion for collecting like myself…😊 great fun videos
Great shirt! The lion king hat was Amazing
Can’t wait to go back and see what new stuff is out
Ohhhhhh yeah!!!! I saw some music cassettes in the background
Oh yea! And a huge vinyl collection! Planning on doing a room tour and collection videos in the future.

Omg awesome find !!!!! I also would have snagged that Zombie shirt right up
I definitely thought about! Seemed like it would be a bit small for me though
the fact that there was 2 copies of 28 days later and you didnt even take one is wild. thats one sells for like $25 currently. cool shop tho my local thrift stores might pop up with a few disney tapes every once in a while. its dry out here
In hindsight I definitely should have grabbed both, was being too stingy with my spending that day haha
"Promo sm"
Awesome video!! I didn't even know about that first 50 releases line from Magnetic
Thanks for watching and glad to share something new!
If you look at some of the earlier copies of Alien, they still have the 'circular' magnetic video logos on the sides, prior to the 20th century combo logo. Some variants of the first design maintained that color center box with the title but lost the 'tape' cut out.
Yes you’re exactly right, I have that magnetic copy of Alien!
Betamax was not first. Cartrivision! mostly rental but recording was possible. U-matic also predated betamax, but was definitely more commercially oriented.
Nice video.
you should buy the matching cassette deck and am fm tuner for that
Thanks! I do have both actually! Just hard to see in the video because there’s a top stack of 3 and a lower stack of 3! Lower stack goes CD, Tape Deck, Tuner
That is amazing
Omg I would have snatched the exorcist book right up.
yea! it was a great find!
I just stumbled into your channel while looking for some thrifting content, especially VHS and other old media. I’ve been trying to start my own VHS collection and this was super fascinating! Hope to see more history-type videos and maybe even some about tips to collecting and searching for new tapes!
Glad you found the channel! Thanks for watching and glad it was some interesting info for you! Love those ideas, and planning to have more coming up!

Love the Music Box!
That Exorcist cover is darn spooky. Awesome tour of Scott’s!
Congrats on this video!!! Really appreciate the work that went into putting this list of movies together. Favorites of the year for me is definitely Godzilla Minus One and unexpectedly…Brian De Palama’s Snake Eyes with Nic Cage. Keep making vids!
Love the origin story! Is that $100 bill sticking out of the shelf real? 🤑🤑🤑
I wish! Just a fun insert next to A Fistful of Dollars on VHS lol
