ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST (Ennio Morricone) - Bass and voice duet (excerpt)
Here is a little excerpt filmed during rehearsal between me and my fiancee, while playing Ennio Morricone's main theme for the 1968 Sergio Leone movie "C'era una volta nel west" (Once upon a time in the west).
Sorry for the sound quality, it's the room sound coming from my smartphone's microphone.
I'm playing a Yamaha TRB6p with the piezo pickup engaged. #music #bassguitar #musicians #enniomorricone #onceuponatimeinthewest #singer #bassvoice #duet

WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME (Pulse version) - Pink Floyd - Bass cover
มุมมอง 1.2K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here's my interpretation of Guy Pratt's bassline on the live version of PF's tune "What do you want from me", taken from the 1995 live album "Pulse". The bass in this tune is quite present in the overall mix and tends to drive forward the tune quite in an hurry. I tried to replicate the same feeling, adding some personal tweaks. The bass on this video is my newly acquired Yamaha BB735a, straigh...
DOGS (Animals 1977 studio album version) - Pink Floyd - Bass cover
มุมมอง 1.3K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is my rendition of Roger Waters' bassline of one of the best Pink Floyd songs, taken from Animals (1977). The track on which I played has the bass removed with Izotope, so what you're hearing is myself playing. I used my trusty Fender AV '58 Precision bass with La Bella 760FL flatwound strings straight into a Focusrite Solo interface, without any processing.

STRATUS - Billy Cobham - Lee Sklar bass cover
มุมมอง 19K3 ปีที่แล้ว
My attempt to replicate Lee Sklar's ostinato hypnotic bassline of this marvelous piece of work from Billy Cobham, taken from his debut album Spectrum (1973). A little tribute to Lee, since he's such an inspiration. Bass: Fender Jazz American Original 60

มุมมอง 17K4 ปีที่แล้ว
My rendition of Guy Pratt's bassline on Pink Floyd's "On the turning away", taken from "Delicate sound of thunder" live album. Played with Vintage Icon VJ74 fretless bass, compressor and chorus to give that eighties vibe. I hope you like it!

THE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY (The Dark Side of the Moon version) - Pink Floyd - BASS cover

Personal interpretation of Roger Waters' bassline of this marvelous piece of art by Pink Floyd,
Bravissimo. È tanto che la cercavo. Esiste anche una versione già senza basso? Grazie
Suono enormeeeeee. Ottimo
Great video! What’s the pedal effect you’re using for this one?
@@ngartner_117 thank you. At the time I was using a Line6 HX Effects with Octaver, compression and a hint of chorus.
Absolutely love your Floyd covers! Any chance you’ll do a cover of Time and Coming Back to Life from Pulse at some point?
@@turtnet3378 thanks lot! I'll definitely do Time and Coming back to life from Pulse in the future!
Love your Pink Floyd covers, thanks for your time and effort 👌. Tabs would be great for us newbie's, and would probably increase your views ?
Thank you! I understand that tabs would be helpful for both views and for people trying to learn the bass lines, I just don't know where to start
@@luke_bass91 Totaly get that, just thought I'd make a suggestion 👍
Amazing cover! You should definitely do Keep Talking :)
Thanks a lot! The next one will be Keep Talking for sure
Muito bom!!! 🔥🔥🔥♥️👏🏼
Grande! Hai per caso la partitura o un midi?
Grazie mille! Purtroppo no, ho tirato giù il brano ad orecchio
@@luke_bass91 Doppiamente grande!
@@videogamesart8057 grazie mille!
Playing 1 note at a time. How difficult. I can't believe some goober is so impressed with himself that he posted this. There are teens out there with serious classical chops, on piano and violin, and bozo here thinks he's hot stuff. How sad.
I probably should mention that I heard an 8th grader play this same bass part.
??????????
El lo toca con octavador
Me too in the video. I had a Line 6 HX Effects with octaver, chorus and compression engaged. On the middle section, also a little bit of delay.
What a sound! Is it steel strings?
Thank you, much appreciated! At the time I was using steel strings 40-100, but IMHO more important than the coating material is string age. I recall I recorded this video a couple of days after putting new strings on. The track requires a lot of brightness and top end, which is then shaped by the effect pedals.
@@luke_bass91 thanks for your answer!❤️
Amazing!
Thanks a lot for your comment!
Cazzo figata
Grazie mille!
Master piece bro . Bro you should be at the top . I mean with over 1 mil subs
Well done! Great tone with the PBass and a great performance overall.
Thanks a lot! Much appreciated!
in the verse, you're playing the A as an open string and on the 5th fret of the E string, and in the second verse again, but in different places. are you just going for the note, disregarding its placement because you want to or do you have a tonal reason for the choice?
Thank you for the comment! I can tell you it wasn't a reasoned choice, more a matter of where my hands are in a specific moment and where they need to go. Usually I prefer fretted notes over open strings, unless I need more sustain and a more open sounding note. But that wasn't the case, as far as I can recall. I hope I helped.
Wow listen to that p bass tone!!! Absolutely beautiful playing ❤
Thanks Neil, much appreciated! I love that P bass tone with flats
Красиво🤘а табы этой версии баса можете записать или ссылку скиньте
Thanks! Unfortunately I played by ear, so I haven't got any tabs
Not even for the lick at 0:24? I'm stuggling to figure that one out@@luke_bass91
@@jazzyjeff7515 I can do better than that, I can refer you to the creator of this lick. Around minute 7:00 Guy plays it and he also teaches how to play it. th-cam.com/video/yluPCLc1ltg/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@@luke_bass91 Wow, thanks man! So cool to hear it from the man himself!
@@jazzyjeff7515 you're welcome!
C'est classe la basse !
Thanks!
Bravo , mi è piaciuta
Grazie mille!
How do you mute the E string after plucking it for the F#...It seems you should mute it with the thumb of the plucking hand otherwise it will continue to ring in the background?
I mute the E immediately after playing the F#. When I play the open A string right after the F# the plucking finger rests on the E string. It's harder to explain than doing it, trust me!
a olhadinha na hora da harmonica é a melhor kk
Sorry?
2:31 The Best!!!!!
Thanks!
Lee has said that they set him up with a tiny amp beside Billy's huge drum kit. So he couldn't hear himself during the recording, otherwise he would have tried to sit more in the pocket. Based on that, your sound balance accurately reflects what Lee was hearing in the studio. Great job!
Thanks a lot!
At what tempo (bpm) is it?
Bass machine. Bravo!
Grazie mille!
Nice!
Thank you!
Song keys please?
It should be E minor, but I'm not sure.
Great cover and great tone 👍
Thanks a lot!
Bravo!!
Bravissimo💪💪🔝🔝
Grazie mille!
Bravissimo, bellissima esecuzione!
Grazie mille!
Bass song key scale ?
E minor
perfetta
ottima interpretazione
molto bravo
grande
I want to know… is the bass in the song an actual bass or a keyboard cause it sounds like a keyboard to me in the song
In the studio version, David Gilmour played the bassline on a bass synth. On this particular version, Guy Pratt played it with a Spector NS2 with an Boss OC2 octave pedal engaged and a ton of compression.
Ugh, 3:20 in the video I linked...
Awesome! Now I must learn it to👍
Great! Thanks!
perfetta. complimenti
Grazie mille!
Yep, thats a good one! Well played Luca!
Thanks a lot! Are you a relative of Guy? 😂
grande bassista bravo su tutti i punti di vista 🔝🔝👏👏👍
Great bass lines and you played it perfectly. Can you play donence from baris manco 1982?
Bravo! Questa canzone poi oltre alla solita cura della bassline che Jackson metteva ha anche la batteria "vera" e non una drum machine
