I really like the colors you were able to get from the Sigma fp in this video. Can you share what lens you used and the general way you color graded it?
Just wanted to say that I have watched almost all of your videos and really like them. I also have the BMPCC and really like it. But I'm thinking about buying a Sigma fp as well. Have you been happy with yours so far? Do you have any suggestions as regards one or two lenses for the Sigma fp?
Thank you! I was hesitant to upgrade at first but haven't regretted it for a second. I use the Sigma 35mm f2 DG DN lens which is nice, and currently searching for another lens. The color grading is fairly simple, I tweak the color wheels to my liking and often use magic mask to separate different subjects from the surroundings. But it very much depends on the scene and how it looks out of cam, some shots take a lot of tweaking and other's don't. Hope that helps!

@@OlleElias Thanks. That is the one I was considering because I read somewhere that it doesn't have the buffering issue that the regular T7 has. It is good to know that it is working well for you. I'll buy that one. I do think I'll keep my BMPCC og though. I can't seem to let it go. 🙂 There is something about it, especially for smaller-scale narrative scenes.
@@OlleElias I just ordered the Sigma fp and a T7 shield drive based on what I have seen on your channel and a few others. How do you attach the drive to your camera? It seems there are multiple options.

I've either used two og's or one and recorded it twice, if I remember correctly.

Not it in this one. The 7.5mm is wide enough to not cause too much shaking

You're basically watching some guy's obsession with his girlfriend for 10 minutes for some reason (?). There seems to be something missing... like some drama or even some basic variety.. It's pretty voyeuristic. I don't like the 'nerve wrecking' repetitiveness of that piano either, sorry mate ;;)

Good job on the grading! One of the few on YT using the BMPCC OG that doesn't ''over-grade'' the footage using too much LUTs.

Thank you! Not much at all actually, color corrected and pulled down exposure via the color wheels to create a darker look. Masked out certain parts, like the last clip with the window for example, and adjusted exposure separately to create a more balanced look. Almost nothing was done to the color.

Thank you! No denoicer or speedbooster. I used the Panasonic 15mm Leica fully open at f1.7 and filmed in RAW.
@@OlleElias shooting raw, is huge files basically… if you had used prores hq, would you have achieved the same?
@@milanjani I don't think so. The increased dynamic range available in postproduction makes RAW preferable for me personally. It also has some benefits grading-wise. As for the files, I use a Sandisk 512 gb 95mb/s which gives me a few hours of recording time, and then edit my footage straight from the card reader.

Hej! I think 99% of your visits come from 'bmpcc original' search tag. As I did. Watched all your videos (except the 2 hour long snowfall). Videos are very good. But THE MUSIC is extremelly good. You have like 2 very defined styles: singer-songwriter and original film soundtrack. And you are so good at both. Are you licensing your 'cinematic' music via artlist or other similar platform? And you should release a singer-songwriter album. Your voice is special, the music is so touching. (I really don't care that much about the lyrics per se, I just like music in general). Sorry for writing too long and for any typos. You have so much talent and potential. Have you been on a talent tv show (the voice or whatever)? It may be a launch platform for you.
