Best BP solo song by a MILE, but the bar is pretty low anyway. This is a fun pop-rock song, my only problem is that they used the Chorus too many times. You can tell Rose is the only member who takes her music career seriously.

btw，this is not her song and it is super uncomfortable that they said it was expressing women's confidence or sth else and i don't feel it from what the mv showed me. It is just showing a girl trying to be sexy. It is irrelevant to so-called girls confidence. I am a girl and i am feeling uncomfortable about the mv showing these. I don't know if you guys will ever see my comment... But I feel like I should point out that the phrase 수고했어요 which kinda translates to good work has a bit of a deeper meaning culturally that it might sound like to you guys... I'm Iranian and we have a similar phrase in Farsi... It's an affectionate way to wish for someone you care about to "not be tired" so culturally it has a deep meaning which is having someone who cares about your health and appreciates your hard work... the phrase in English just doesn't have the same meaning and depth that it does in Korean or the similar phrase in Farsi... and Jonghyun wrote this whole song around this phrase because "and this is just my opinion" the depth of it meant so much to him. He even has it in the note he left.

Woosung has always said that The Rose comes first... the selection of old songs when the group was hamstringed by their label vs. Woosung's newer tracks where he has creative freedom is a harsh comparison. I suggest looking at more songs from their HEAL and DUAL album before saying that he's "dragging" the band along.

So, FYI, the algorithm has completely stopped recommending your vids, I have to actively search for them now. Idk how it went from showing me your channel right after you started kpop reactions, recommending your new vids all year, and now it's like it's actively hiding them now...

Apparently, most of us have been saying her name wrong the whole time, in a new interview she calls herself "Rosy". I don't know if she's fine with "rose-aye" like how you pronounce the wine, or what now? That's how I always said it... 🤷‍♀️

Compared to the song selection for The Rose... the majority of songs selected here are post-split from their Korean label. I think that's a pretty wise choice since it shows more of who the artist is without the constraints of a label saying "No, we want more of the same" or "That's too risky".

The song Replay was a hit one of the reason being the only boy band with the "soft boy" type So SM was trying out different concepts for the boy bands at that time, and while all of the other boy bands all had this bad boy, "I'll lead you" "I'm a bad guy" type of image, Shinee was the new image for the boy bands. Also View was special because the lyrics are written by Jonghyun and actually the end part of the lyrics made it into Korean school text book for being so beautiful and became a good example of how to write a poetry. And around that time, that casual shirt with just pants look was not a usual thing in kpop industry, and Key was the one who chose all the fashion style for each members, it was his idea to go with "skater boy" concept because when he was living in America, he admired skater boys a lot. Not having Alive in here just to show how insanely unpredictable The Rose music can be is kinda sad. I get that you're only allowed so many submission songs tho. Definitely think they have more variety than what was shown here... since most of this is when they were under the Korean label and weren't allowed as much freedom to explore variety as they are now that they are independent.

I'd love to see them check out She's in the Rain, Alive, Time, and Sour but frankly, there are too many songs to choose from for the limited amount of suggestions you're allowed... everything these guys do is a banger.

I think many people don't understand, but this song was suppose to be funny and fresh, is giving such a 2000 vibes like Avril Lavigne songs. and is so sad that people still being no capable to have fun, music is about feelings and I think they put their souls on this song to make people feel nostalgic and it totally works, but some people are listening to this song too serious, that's sad tho😂
