I paired it with the Westin Hotel clone that Aroma 360/Hotel Collection have (same company). The machine is kinda loud though. I just bought MY first HVAC diffuser made by Kevinleo. It has the absolute best reviews and even has an indicator light to show when it’s time to change the oil! It’s literally identical to the one Aroma 360 sells for a fraction of the price they charge for it. I really like the fact that you used caulking. Why wouldn’t I have thought about that?? Question: how far in did you stick the tubing and you said you have it pointing upward? Also, I know you said that you went to switching to a push to connect connector. Was that also 3/8”? This is a great video but may I give a suggestion. You want to shorten the hose from the unit to the air conditioner because it will cause condensation and sit around the curve. If you shorten the lenghth by cutting off some of the tube, a shorter connection will allow a straight connection therefore the condensation it will drip back to the container.

I am also trying to figure out a technique to only allow the diffuser to work while the air handler is running. Using a smart plug will only turn the power to the diffuser off and on, which means it will reset it's frequency settings back to default. Some of the more expensive diffusers have an input to integrate an air pressure switch to tell it when the air handler is running. Not at all. Most of the shavings came out with the drill bit- but you could theoretically put a magnet under where you’re drilling to help catch some of the shavings on the other side if you’re worried about it. Then use the magnet to extract the shavings out of the hole you drilled (similar to those magnet wire pulls for drywall).

@UC3CKlR5dheb3PSITxREsDWQ not a bad idea. You can buy a pretty lengthy piece of the tubing from Home Depot (www.homedepot.com/p/UDP-5-16-in-I-D-x-7-16-in-O-D-x-20-ft-Clear-Vinyl-Tubing-T10007006/304185172) and they sell 10 ft, 20ft, and even plastic couplers if you wanted to extend it more. Having said that, I think the shorter the tube the better in terms of potency, so you may need to play with the settings to find a happy medium. My guess is the longer the tube, the more the machine will need to run (aka the oil will run out faster), but what you see in the video is as long as I’ve personally run it (I actually trimmed it down some since installing because I installed a push connector on the A/C duct rather than just silicon for a cleaner look. You can always return things to Home Depot and Amazon if you don’t get the results you’re looking for. Good luck!

I can’t speak to the quality of other brands - this is the first and only unit I’ve tried. So far, the unit is working just as good as when I first got it. Also - I just started using an oil from The Flaming Candle based on a recommendation in the comments which is definitely more noticeable throughout the house than what I was using before. Having said that, if you decide to go with a less expensive machine like this one (compared to those from AromaTech or Aroma Retail) just be sure to use a good quality oil and adjust the settings accordingly.
