Turkey Necks Are Called Ghetto Oxtails. They Taste like Oxtails, for a Fraction of the price of Oxtails. Throw a can of butter beans last hour on high. I put curry powder on the necks before cooking. Even a can of cream of Chicken unsalted on top before cooking, Nice , n Creamy

I love cornbread any time of the year. Smoked turkey in dressing would be delish! I love Jiffy Mix. You have to like sweetness in your cornbread though. Which i do. I make homemade Jiffy Mix also. I make a half gallon dry mix to have on hand. I use bacon grease in my cornbread pan(cast iron). I don't do the creole spice. It's to spicy for me. Never ever do seafood dressing. Why mess up good dressing? Yuck. If I'm eating someone elses I'll put like a teaspoon on my plate that i can hide around the plate. My momma use to put the gizzards and heart and neck and liver in hers and i wouldn't eat it! Nasty. I don't like eating other peoples turkey either! People don't know how to clean out the turkey cavity and they cook the thing so dry it's not edible.

I must say. I am not a dressing kind of girl being a Yankee. I like stuffing ( mine is not gummy lol) however, Sandra Fay makes the best dressing ever , I have tried a lot of others and am not a fan but hers is so good I even used to crave it when I was pregnant!!

Just curious - the recipe says 8 oz. stick of butter, but 8 oz. is 2 sticks (1 full cup) of butter. Which did you use? One or two sticks?
