I can’t get any sound. I am using the audient I’d 14 and m2 iPad Pro. I can see it, input just says input with giving me an option to do anything. Output says the says the audient id14,

For my work flow the iPad really is such a great transition from GarageBand. I enjoy it very much 😊

I think having a subscription service is totally fine but a subscription with no option to buy a perpetual license is absolutely aggravating.

AUTOMATION BUGS (track editor): December 2024 - I am on the latest version but I think there are bugs in automation...in some cases if a track has a fade out...naturally if it loops back to the start where there is no fade in...that track should play with visible audio...but no...I see that on the loop-back that track will remain faded out...I am still trying to figure that out.

Good video! My advice in short: Get any (used/refurbed) M1 11“ Air or Pro. Best value ans good medium size. Don‘t go for a Mini or older older classic iPad.

I have a mini 6 and a 2020 Pro, both of which I feel I need to upgrade. But do I need to upgrade the Pro if I’m not bothered about stem splitting? And frankly, who is? How about a Pro model comparison video?

I bought the Ipad air with the M2 chip because of the possibility’s in Logic and I love it but to be honest, being a bassist, that can also play reasonable organ, synth and guitar I hardly ever use something more than the drummer because I think using my own bass does a better job than the bass player in logic. So to be honest, whatever I do with Logic, I can do on my old trusted air 4 too. But it really pushes it to the limit.

Many years ago I had a 4-track Teac Portastudio. The ability to record four tracks and then record more by bouncing down was absolutely brilliant. Given that Ellie Dixon's Swing has 76 tracks and the iPad 8 can at least play some of it before coming to a halt indicates to me that anyone who's prepared to bounce early and bounce often can possibly find this iPad adequate. Especially since not everybody wants nor uses the sound packs, AI instrument players, or complex processing units with pretty graphics. I should probably add that I do want all of this, and have it. But if I didn't I wouldn't be too unhappy with an iPad 8.

Hi Patrick, I tried to use this technique to record Expression and Growl automation in Swam Sax in Logic Pro for iPad. It does not work, it does not write automation details. Is there any reason for that?

seriously? That was all we got from logic? No updates for better: noise remover, better EQ, better new mastering like limiter, compressor, better FX effects, stereo spread, better modulation, better pitch, better delays? That's what they should focus on. But no.....we got instead a room simulator reverb. Wow...such a disappointment from Logic.

the keyboard is definitely my favorite. All three are useful, but I can play bass and I can play/program drums; my skills on the keys are much worse

I deleted logic and re installed it & that’s how I got the update. Hope this helps for someone

Hi! But can I connect an external sound card, attach 3 microphones and record on Logic with the iPad? I wanted a device that wasn't too big where I could record the Drummer 😅

the most important thing they left out in there update is the flexi pitch

I see Logic P2.1 suffers in performance on A14 chip, unless one is orchestrating quick loops (e.g. rap) is not worth the subscription, one really needs to have M series (and at that rated all Ms would have to be tested). I cannot afford an M iPad, but will stick to small loops. I go back to the days of analog tape reels, we still have come a long way.

There are better sounding reverbs out there, but it's definitely a great reverb to have in Logic as stock!

It's a wonderful sounding reverb. My issue is the UI. Why not take this another step and provide users with a 3D graphical representation of rooms at their relative scale and allow us to quickly resize the virtual room to our liking, Apple? I think the UI could use a complete reimagining. Drop down menus are a real waste of time when you're trying to quickly evaluate options.

You can rearrange the channel strips. Apparently this was long-awaited. I know nothing, being solidly GarageBand. But, i saw it elsewhere, and it seems an obvious requirement on a ‘grown-up’ DAW. Take care all…BTW, u know there’s an app called Final Cut Camera, that enables multiple devices to shoot at once? Gotta be Apple Silicon if it’s an ipad though, and an omission is 50fps for European video standard apparently.

I haven't found a way to hide tracks in Logic for the iPad. Searching around indicates there isn't one!

Full functionality of plugins now? Just like on the Mac? (See the needle in the compressor? Full patch building, oscillators etc in Alchemy?) Flex pitch? Multi track in phase live drum recording editing? Are the tons of missing features being added in?
