She starts now, and idles... somewhat. It's actual progress. So she avoids the crusher for another day.

She'll start if I spoon feed her, but then will only run as long as I keep the revs above 5K...

It'll only fire up after I've poured fuel directly into the airbox. Then it'll only run full throttle. (the RPM's were only varying because I kept flipping the kill switch)

Edit I tapped the end of the shaft and it popped right out.

Hey dude my bro sold you this bike. Can't believe it looks so good! We're stoked she's living a better life now. Not sure if he told you, but this thing lived in our neighbors abandoned garage for years. Eventually it made its way across the street to our barn along with this crapped out 50 Ford Coupe. We stored it when we lost our house and eventually my bro sold it to make ends meet. You've made my day!

I cut the hell out of myself removing a shift drum from an sohc750. Ever since then i use gloves on both hands
I ended up getting it removed. I had to simply tap the end of the shaft with a punch.
