Huntertown Arms Kestrel .308 Review
มุมมอง 3K9 ปีที่แล้ว
Heres a review on Huntertown Arms Kestrel .308 suppressor. Not too much about it on youtube, and there should be. There should be a warning about this can. That being said, the baffles are set up for .308 supersonic bullets, thats probably why it doesnt work well at all on .300 blackout subs.

Tried ringing some steel out to 300 yards. Using my favorite rig: -Marlin XT-22RZ -SWR Spectre II (SilencerCo) -BSA Sweet 22 -UTG Bipod Shooting some Remington subsonics and CCI Std Vel.(1040fps) What a blast, was able to hit steel all day at the 300 yard mark with Remington bulk (supersonic), but when I went to use the subs I ran into a low laying branch in my flight path.

    The mark you made in my opinion is a good sound solution for your draw length. The guys who have mentioned as long as it is in front of the rest are correct, essentially years ago when all the companies where chasing arrow speed, not that they still aren't, almost everyone came out with some type of overdraw for the bows, (short lighter shafts equals faster arrows) I recall those days of the extreme over draws and they were fun to shoot,) as you mentioned seams sketchy at best and I believe that is the best way to say it hahaha. Great Job on your draw board, thanks for sharing, I may try to make one myself. Thanks again for sharing and I hope you recovered from your cold from last year when you made this video. Have a blessed week. Dale

    Hey, not sure if you will see this, but did you leave the rust in the tank or did you end up cleaning it out? I've got some in mine and was wondering if I should acetone it and clean it, or just leave it rusty and change the fuel filter every now and then?

    • @pistolpeta

      The corrosion wasnt that bad/mainly superficial, so I just keep it covered in fuel and leave it be. I havent noticed a change in status since posting this video.

    former size of the capacity was 9.5L tank and now it's 9.1 l. so only lost a few hundred mL because of that dent caved in losing a little volume to hold fuel in.

    • @pistolpeta
      @pistolpeta 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, and the repair still holds. FYI, The only thing that has changed since I uploaded this video is the paint on the engine/gearbox has come off due to my boot rubbing up against it when I shift gears. Other than that, still a great running bike. Took it out for its first run of the year since I put it up for the winter. I ran it until it hit I had to switch the petcock over to reserve then filled up the tank at the closest gas station. It took 1.66 Gallons/7.55Liters to fill it. Local gas price went from $3.69 to $4.29 overnight so riding a bike that gets 75+ MPG helps alot! Thanks for the comment and ride on brother!

      +John Smith Yeah, I tried everything except running it wet, never plan on doing that with any suppressor anyways. I havent any experience with their newer suppressors but to this very day, I have attempted to contact HTA through Email and calling and leaving messages (they never pick up) and I havent got a single reply, this is spanning the past 3 years now? Even when I contacted them about an upgrade the three times I did, never heard back from them. That, is why I warn anyone looking to get a cheap suppressor from them.

I do not recommend HTA but if you have one already here's some things you can do to improve them th-cam.com/video/I93rYnL-pPM/w-d-xo.html. Especially to improve the subsonic 300blk performance.
