Hi mate do you make good profit ?
@thomasghee3701 eh, depends what you consider good profit. We can discuss that off youtube on my ig or Facebook. However, in sum it's ok i make 10x the money servicing fish tanks than breeding. Although they do go hand in hand with volume.
Say it with me..... Oh.... Ah..... Say..... - OASE
@@daxcastro i have since fixed my pronunciation lol
Does anyone have recommendations for a marketplace to actually sell your shrimp and what not? I’ve got Facebook Reddit insta and twitter but I’m looking for alternatives to a website, thanks.
@DOSEDKID check my other video out. I go over alternative online options
@ thank you 🙏
please tell me where u got that sand cuz the color is really nice
They're not willing to buy from us, or even if they take it dirt cheap.
@panther2341. my suggestion is if stores aren't willing to work with you, find community sources. Make sure whatever your breeding you don't get overloaded with. Angelfish are easy to get an overabundance of. Therefore, look into simple plants, shrimp, or more difficult nitch fish such as rams, Apistagramas, etc. Scout the store and find what they don't have much of or what sells quickly. It's a game of business at that point. So, if they aren't willing to work with you, beat them at the game. Undercut the prices and make yourself a source for a better quality cheaper alternative.
Need to watch at least 1.6 speed to get through
Great info, and encouragement for me to breed these.
Just setting up my fishroom now My plan is to breed for fun and maybe make extra money. I havent talked to my LFS yet But i will I was planning on selling online but without shipping (marketplace type thing) Im in MTL and i dont find the market to be full of fish breeders So ill give it a shot Im gonna start with Plecos, Corydora, shrimp, angels , apistos
@joeyfarrell5752 That's a great start, but do find a way to offload your supply. Because those are all high producers and you're sure to be overloaded in time. Check out my other video where I outline selling online and the different groups to do such.
@ i shall! I visited your shop but there wasnt much cuz your moving? Also do you ship to canada ?
@QuebecFish i don't, unfortunately. The laws aren't friendly to stuff like that.
@@homebredaquatics yeah most US shops dont.. well thanks and ill keep following your videos! Videos on how to breed plecos/rams/cories/shrimps/angels would be awesome! With your tips and tricks!
Cheers mate. Always looking for something easy to catch pest snails. ❤
+1 sub. 😎🫶

Beautiful!!
A good, honest review. Thanks.
I just started and ALREADY have made huge mistakes! My first and biggest mistake? Bought shrimp FIRST, did my research AFTER! Not recommended haha
I needed this reality shock...I was getting excited with all the videos I saw. But this opened up my eyes to the reality.
Thanks
Excellent video . My issue is I live in Oregon, near a major city Salem, yet people out here are cheap! Even the stores are cheap . It’s hard to sell anything . Of course store only want to give credit too , uggh Out here people want you to trade or buy for super cheap if expect it free . Uggh
@@4loveoffish might be time to consider online alternatives.
That was pretty good information from a regular guy 👍
Great work bro have a nice day
How much food should i feed per 10 shrimps per 3 days?
Just to demonstrate how much less you're going to likely sell your guppies for, my local fish store takes each guppy for $2 each. I bought a pair for $40. I've definitely made more than $40 in store credit, but the drop off in price is crazy
@lemonlizard1 oh most definitely! I sell mine for 2.50 or so a piece to stores. Granted, they buy them by the 100's versus selling them 2-6 to people for triple the price.
Thank you for explaining the temperature aspect of the cardinias… I think my tap water is soft enough for them, but it’s so hot in SC, idk if I can guarantee the water staying below 75 all the time, but I can in the winter. I can harden the water for the neos as well I think. Measures 6.8 out of the tap. Thoughts?
@linnealeora only options on cardinias is either a chiller or a fan blowing across the top of the tank. I was using USB fans before when I was breeding them.
I accidentally left a giant tape worm in my shrimp tank and now I can find it how do I rid the fish of tape worms without hurting my shrimps. Please help
Where do I buy these extrovert boots from?😂
Normally, you can find them at the mall. But you have to ask tons and tons of people about them and get talking to others to find them.
I like your videos brother keep them coming
Just separate the males and female guppies and keep track of breeding. That should help stop inbreeding.
Yes, most definitely. As the fry produce, you could very well separate them. Probably for me, I have 10 guppy tanks and doing this weekly is a huge challenge.
Awesome fish
Great information. Would be able to hear you better without the music.
Definitely changed this with my more recent videos. Feel free to watch those and tell me what you think about this compared to that.
@@homebredaquatics Thank you, I will. Us old guys sometimes have problems. The hearing goes with everything else.
Nice to see them taking care of rescues 👍🏿
Your angelfish are gorgeous!! Stunning!! Thank you for the video!
Looks like a nice store. But 10K sq. ft. isn't even close to North America's largest. That Fish Place in Lancaster, PA is 88K.
I have to look it up. I might be very wrong on the Sq footage. But it looks like I have to make a trip to the fish place.
Worst heater ever
U can definetly breed shrimp in a hole lot of diffrent parameters
Most definitely!
Concistency, concistency!! Kh, Dh and pH bla bla bla! CONCISYENCY IS THE KEY
Spot on!!! 👍👍👍
that eel should've been put in that pond, tf
The eel would jump out of the pond in an instant. Plus, he would easily consume every fish in that pond.
I subscribed because of this video, i have a 35g planted cube that i set up because my wife became obsessed with shrimp. (me too lol ) Let the obsession begin
Hey, thanks for subscribing! Shrimp tanks are addictive, right? Enjoy the journey with your wife!
😊 good looking out there...👌 Education is key... great guy...👍 Both of you...😅😂
Looks like we're all on the same page here - education, good looks, and greatness!
Awesome place bro...👌 😎 🙌 👍
Yes it was
Hello,sir 🎉 congratulations to your channel... 👏 Great info... 👍 👌 👏 😀
Many many thanks
All that talk about being a rescue and educating people, just to get to the retail space, and they still have Betta in flower vases... At least give them a gallon or two each.
I didn't notice any of that when i went personally. However, maybe I looked over it while observing the larger scapes. I mean the fact that they have what they have is better than most on a single individual's budget. I could understand that argument if it was an aquarium that was state/ federally funded but he's come out of pocket with nearly all of this.
@@homebredaquatics21:46 and 22:09 there's three I saw in the video, one red and two white, but considering there are more empty vases all along the back of the plant tanks they likely stock. Makes me wonder how many of those are empty because the Bettas died.
@SomeoneStoleMyHandle ah yes I see now. Good eye. It definitely wouldn't be my method of selling. But if they are staying to the maintenance and keeping them alive then hopefully they are educating them on proper setups for new homes. One can only hope. It's better than when I worked for petco. Especially since people wouldn't even have to consult me before taking one home.
they have burms in every store i go in why would u make that remark just made u look stupid !! not knowing what u were talking about , lost interest with the lies !!! not to mention those snakes were in way to little of an enclosure !
Love your vid. Some much great info. Thank you . Mahalo and aloha from hawaii 🤙🏽❤️❤️❤️
Aloha, if i ever make it over to Honolulu in the near future. Hopefully this year again I will be sure to get in contact to get a nice tour from the locals.
Amazing place! Thanks for taking us along.
Of course, hopefully I will be able to do more of these in time.
Just got one of these a week or two ago, was working fine keeping temp at 78, suddenly dropped to 76.5. Calibration set to -1.5 and it seems the heater is finally starting to warm back up to 78. Not sure if I'll have to keep adjusting it or not but I can definitely update later on. seems like no one knows anything about these heaters. Fun tip though: my phone will scan the heater every time if I put my phone near the back of the heater instead of the front, even through glass, although I'm using the 50w in a 10gal column. If it works, its a great heater, but holy shit this has been one hell of a week trying to get this thing set up optimally.
Your heater seems to have a mind of its own, dropping temperatures and playing hide-and-seek with your phone. Sounds like it's not just a heater, but a mystery box of surprises!
@@homebredaquatics forgot to reply, that thing went up over 86 out of nowhere, almost woke up to a medium rare group of fish. Tried to warranty it, company kinda sucks. Refused to work with us, sent us a new heater after everything, not going to use it after all of this. Fluval has a heater for like $40 give or take, the M50. M50 just works. Set it once and it's been fine, no problem. Sorry to say I'll never interact with sicce products again lmao.
Well done, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Where is this ?
Orlando Florida
this thing sucks, I bought one from a local fish store (200w) and the thing cant get past 72 and i have it set for 82 on a 30gallon . killed my Angelfish
Its cray the amount of negative feedback I've seen about temp control on these. I'm sorry, if you need recommendations I can diffidently aid in that.
Your awesome bro, a rock star, thank you man, I learned alot from this video 👑
Hello gd stuff now how will neocaridina do with co2 do to ph shift I want to try shrimp I have really densely planted stem tank will it work water is hard from tap , small amounts of nitrates and nitrites
I've seen them fair well in co2 as long as the ph is low. So let's say your swinging from 6.5-5.5. If it's 7.5-6.5 it won't go well. As for Hardness it needs to be sub 8. Any harder and it's going cause issue. IF USING TAP CHECK TDS! That will tell you everything you truly need to know about your water. Sub 100 tds. You're probably good to use it above that get rodi. As for nitrites that concerning and I would just stray away from large water changes using that tap water.
@homebredaquatics I can't send Pic of test strip so u can see what water is like almost everyday nitrates may be due to liquid ferts that I would have to change if I can get shrimps
