Dental Cast 3D Scan with DIY 3D Scanners
In this video, we study the potential of our DIY 3D Scanners in dentistry filed.
We can scan dental casts individually or assembled, and check the contact between the teeth. The Software can assemble the individual jaws automatically.
The scan results are perfectly accurate and the accuracy and tolerances are repetitive in the acceptable range. The expected accuracy for scans results is 0.01mm~0.02mm for a dental cast.
We can use multi axis turntable to automatically position the object and scan.
And our DIY SLS scanners are extremely flexible, you can use it for scanning objects from 1mm to several meters.

We can use our DIY 3D scanners as a professional dental scanner too. The scan result is extremely detailed and accurate. The scan process is automatic, easy and fast. There is no limit to the dimensions and size of the object for our DIY scanners. We scan a wide range of objects with the same setup, from 1 mm to several meters. Hi for calibration, whole of the panel must be visible on both cameras. also your calibration panel must be standard.

the Fari turntable is a part of Modified FS project. it is supported in the software with full functionality and performance. And yes! full automatic calibration and scanning process.

it is a SLS scanner setup. it is based on two cameras, projector and modified version of FS. also turntable and Hardware Trigger

I want to be sure I'm shopping for as similar components as I can find. I'm looking to scan objects that are as small as 5mm, and no larger than 300mm Do you have a link to the Modified Software?
@TonyKrieman cameras and projector selection depends on several parameters. this scan was done using my Daheng cameras. 6.3MP. for Modified version of software and more detailed guide about hardware selection, you can contact me directly via mail: GreenSkyNet@yahoo.com

What is the maximum camera resolution supported? 8mpx (4k), 12mpx and above? It is possible to use any directshow capture device?. Thanks for your videos.
Theoretically any camera resolution is supported, we already tested up to 24MP. we tested 24MP, 12MP, 6MP, 5MP, 3MP and even 0.9MP cameras successfully. you should be able to use any Directshow capture device, and if you found any limitation, I can do customization to make it compatible.

that sounds pretty decent. Daheng camera is found in china and it's very cheap

Yes These projectors are perfect. Just be careful to use HD or FullHD led projector

How do you align? Markers or mesh?
for turntable, the alignment is done by position feedback from the turntable. no need to mesh or marker alignment.
