Hey guys, welcome to my channel, my name is Lisa Hanley and I'm in love with all things beauty, travel, wellness, self-development and spirituality. On this channel I will be sharing content on all of the things I love. This includes my work and personal life, interests and everything I have learned along the way.
BUILDING A FREELANCE CAREER DURING THE PANDEMIC #storytime #story
Through my passion for creating and the circumstances of a pandemic, I was thrown into freelancing with no idea how to really navigate the world of the gig economy.
Over the past two years, I've worked for nine companies, produced five podcasts (I worked on two others as a researcher), a short film and have written countless articles for digital and online magazines.
It's been a ride!
But I essentially burnt myself out jumping from gig to gig with little breaks and a lot of outsider pressure to work through the mental strain. I also went through somewhat of an awakening which prompted me to question the 'why' behind it all, and I wanted to share my revelations.

Great video Lisa! Needing to be right can definitely come at the cost of own our peace and can definitely be challenging to let go of that rigid mindset and think more flexibly as you say. P.s, love Eckhart Tolle too!
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It took me a long time to understand this but with the help of this book, I did and when I did, it changed everything for me. Your exactly right, its not easy to be flexible as we are still in a time where the right and wrong narratives are still so polarized, but we are definitely getting there!
