Been playing League since s5 (2015) when I was highschool as a Mid main who plays Zed and Yasuo 😅. While I definitely fit the archetype in highschool but these days as a certified boomer when I do play I’m the opposite. Probably why I’m bronze 🤣🤣🤣

before I watch more. Im at 17 seconds in. Im a league player and never played dota. The fact you just said "you have to play 5 "champions" at once AND if one dies they all die. I already know Meepo is 20x harder then azir. I will edit if my prediction is true. Edit: After watching I feel like Azir is harder in terms of micro. The ability to use your champions mechanics effectively. Meanwhile, Meepo (dota players can tell me if I'm wrong, going off league knowledge) is hard too but not as mechanically challenging. However Meepo seems WAY harder in terms of macro and decision making. Just watching the games makes my brain short circuit. Before you get 3 meepos it does seem like its manageable.

Dota offlaner is one of my favorite roles. In lame you're just trying to ruin the enemy hard carry's day, then in midgame transition to the initiator role and make chaos. You don't need a great K/D/A to be effective, just have to throw off the other team's game.

The only thing I disagree with here is the assessment that lane mechanics are more difficult/complex in league... a game which doesn't really have laning mechanics beyond "should I shove the wave or not?" where dota has denying, neutral pulling, creep-hero aggro, creep/tower skipping, glyph etc. There are so many micro plays you can make to manipulate the wave and outplay your opponents and the mechanics are far more complex. Disabling your opponent to secure/deny ranged and flag bearer creeps and denying XP through pulling can literally be the difference between winning or losing a lane.

Support is a support in Dota until the player decides to pivot and buys a Dagon because the Carry isn't carrying.

It's incorrect to say that Dota doesn't have spell scaling and that other roles don't carry games. Many heroes have built in ability scaling with levels and talents, and Kaya is not the only item for amplifying spell damage, especially factoring in neutral items. You can have a LC or Axe offlane completely carry a team, you can have the same for Lesh, Storm or Ember mid, and like a hundred other examples. Sure, it's rare to put these heroes in the P1 role, but it can definitely work if you have a regular carry mid like TA or Sniper.

League and "communication". Don't make me laugh, they literally took an entire region's allchat, refuse to add voice chat despite their other competitive online game having it and most hilariously sad of all, the only thing that you can get punished for in league is chat. League barely punishes feeders and griefers but call them out and flame them and you'll get banned yourself. It happened to me, a brand ruined my botlane by stealing all the cs and feeding then I called him out and he went and did the same mid. I got mad called him a retard and got muted for two weeks. I checked his account. He did the same thing for weeks trolling and he didn't get banned. In dota on the other hand I can call someone whatever I want, over voice chat and over text and the worst that will happen is losing some communication score and getting muted for that game. However if you go and do something similar to what that brand did, you will hey punished, because dota in stark contrast cares about people actually ruining the game more than someone being called a bad name. Do you know why? Because when someone's annoying and offending you verbally you can just mute and ignore them. You can do that in league too but riot wants to pander to God knows who by exclusively combating "toxicity", despite league without a doubt having the most toxic player base out there. In addition league's system is so fucked you can get banned for simply typing too much. Want to coordinate with your team about that team fight around dragon pit for the soul and discuss who's gonna buy anti heal? Better do it in less than 10 messages for 30 seconds or you get treated as if you called someone a racial slur. All in all league's communication system is a joke and riot are clueless clowns. No one is as thin skinned as you think and even if they are they can always just mute you. I'm 30 I've been playing both games since release and I still flame and swear like a sailor. It's a part of being competitive. Some devs just understand this and are actual grown up, while other are offended Twitter warriors fresh out of high school trying to censor and police you for saying fuck.

A more niche troll strat that some players use or at least used to do is lane redirecting, was a pretty niche way to troll and to absolutely dumpster a lane by dragging creepwaves from other lanes toward another one (usually mid) and letting that lane farm 2 to 3 waves at the same time (usually done with alchemist to maximize his farm) It would lead to shit like 7 min radiance alche or 20 mins full items alche and was one of the funniest but genius ways to ensure a good lane.

I played dota allstar when i was a kid bcs my brother stack needed a +1, then went on dota 2 throughout my highschool and college years. Grinding all night in school days even skip classss every now and then, competing in amateurs tournaments etc. Those were the days where i didnt want to even touch any game modes beside ranked. Time pass and i have pressing responsibilities as i grow up, less time to play and eventually lost my touch bcs of it. Then it hits me that if i force myself through the stress of grinding mmr while trying to unrust my rust, it will only harm myself and the try hard grinders in my team, and we all know how frustating it is to have that one bad team mate in dota that made you lose the game. I just cant be that person. So here i am today, queuing turbo with my buddies everyday after work to scratch the dota itch while most importantly, having fun stomping on core warlock with 3 tarrasque. Dare i say the most fun i ever had playing dota, compared to the glorious grind i was in back then.

I will never understand league players can stay in one lane for 30 minutes, jungles the way to go. Dota's becoming alot more like league, I would love to see league take some tips from dota. The state of the game has been so watered down it's a shadow of its former self.

Yone AND Akshan are both easily counterable because of how wave management and items are in the game. You mixed carry as generic role for player who carry team with marksman. In LOL games are win by overfed marksman/mid line or being carried by bruiser from top, jungle. still overfed glass cannon need to step out from from back line comfort zone if you want win.

I have played league from s2 time Peak at Grandmaster at Euwest I like junglers but what i have noticed is rise of afking junglers, they think they are doing stuff but really they are doing nothing then suprise suprise people will point it out Heck even supports nowadays gank more than junglers nowadays and that is saying something if supports outshine jungle mains in meta where they are giga busted Even i play jungle time to time and its not that hard of a role once you simplify it. Jungle situation has becomed a meme at this point if you gank and play game normally, people will say you aint jungle main because you dont afk at jungle and laught at the idea of s14 junglers

Tanks and low solo kill potential XD Most tanks are really scary to deal with alone, because of high base damage and in most cases a shit load of stuns. Juggernauts like Urgot are basically the only ones who can easily dispatch them. Assasins Adcs or mages need to play really carefull or they will be run down (and maybe oneshot depending on how far heartsteel has gotten)

Imo, the most major difference is that LoL has Flash and a lot more gap closers, which make melee ADCs unviable. Back in WC3 DotA, map version 6.48b's blink dagger was not cancellable, so every hero bought it as their first major item. As a result, melee agility-based non-tanky carries were almost never seen in DotA either. The main carries were either ranged (PotM, SF, Morphling, Luna) or tanky melees (Sven, Centaur, Leoric, Tiny, Treant). Only when blink dagger became cancellable did melee agility carries such as Anti-Mage start to become more viable.

Hard support is the hardest role in game

My midlane ritual is my friends forcing me mid because no one besides me plays mid as an offrole and getting my ass kicked by a tinker or arc warden who may or may not be having a helping hand from a script. In league I play mid when I want to have some fun but my fun gets stopped by yasuo's stupid windwall because it fucking stops everything now doesn't it? Or of course katarina or zed because isn't it fun to have a million dashes and a billion damage even when you lost your lane. Seriosuly fuck those heroes/champions.

I'm an offlaner main ever since the dreaded suicide lanes were a thing, when the offlaner played 1v3. It was THE hardcore role then. I loved what the offlane heroes offered but most of the time you were heavily handicapped and coudn't reach your potential. Offlaners right now are absolutely spoiled by having a support and honestly when my support is really bad I usually just tell him to go play trilane as I know how to play 1v2 and it works out way better than by giving the enemy carry free kills in addition to farm. In addition I love just running into the enemy team and making them kill themselves on me as bristle, timbersaw, axe and legion. Funnily enough I used to be a top main in league back when Darius came out. I mained him and frequently 1v9d after winning my lane. However I do not like the new darius that much and by new I mean the delay on his Q. With the tons of mobility in league it's just annoying having a delay like that, especially after you've been using instant Qs back in the day. That's why I moved onto other roles in league over the years but last year, after getting hardstuck, I got so mad, I switched back up to top and actually climbed, although with cheap champs like Illaoi and Malphite which were absolutely broken but I do not regret it as I was getting really frustrated trying to carry as ADC or jungle with no team backup. Toplaner IS the 1v9 role in league. And one more thing when it comes to ranged offlaners, I play alot of viper offlane and he's got some disgusting bully potential and he's extremely tanky especially against heavy magic damage comps. In addition you can play him as the "tank" role you mentioned does not exist. You build things like blademail, shivas and SnY or SnK and the enemies kill themeselves upon you while you just stand there, breaking them, and slowing them. I recently won an offlane viper game agianst a farmed PA with rapiers by having her kill herself on my blademail because she thought I was just a ranged damage dealer. As straight forward as he is I think Viper is incredibly good as an offlaner flex.
