I know it sounds counter intuitive but I have a stampede 4x4 and slash 4x4 bl2s both where down after 1 run due to rocks getting inside the brushless motor do yourself a favor and type up the vent holes to prevent
Tape off the vent holes on the motor?
Hopefully I get my Rc channel up there and love the track true 1/10th scale lay out wish I could bring my Losi’s

How would you compare the HPI Jumpshot sc to the Slash 2wd ?
I have a video all about the HPI jump shot sc. honestly I think it is just as good as a slash. In my personal experience, it handles a little better at my track out the box than a slash did. My only problem is, it is easier for me to get parts for a slash. If a person bought either one I believe they would be happy!
I have the 4wd Torment and race in on indoor clay track.
How does it do? Ours did good on loose dirt
I have finished 2nd and 3rd in the sportsman class. It has outrun some more expensive buggies. I am running a brushless setup.

Bro, rip out the foo choo electrics, rip out that mickey mouse slipper and that goofy pinion....remove that centre drive shaft. Stiffen the rear shafts, fit a complete aero kit, install the high speed spoiler, bolt it down in the middle to the body, install an XLX2+ 2028 CASTLE , INSTALL THE HB ALLIY SHAFT, AND CARBON CHASSIS BRACE, YOULL NEED A 32 PITCH TRAXXAS 34T PINION, AND A HB SLIPPER. 8S BABY!! 195MPH. your welcome. 🎉🎉
I never had problem out of the spektrum stuff but never was trying to get to fast considering I didn’t have the space, but I have done some of the stuff to the body and stiffen up the rear, appreciate that help!
What weight r u running in the diffs?
It was just stock on both when I made this video! Both seemed to do well with it.
Add a gyro to it and have some real fun

I find using zip lock bags to store individual parts such as original parts after upgrading. Use brown tape with permanent marker to identify what part you have and the original RC. If something is broken trash it such as old servers. The zip lock bags work great in keeping track of parts.

That's a great looking rig! I had a 1976 back in the late 80s, it was a damn fun beast! You got a few mechanical issues to work out, I hope you made out well on the trade though. Cheers and sub!

What battery do you run
I run two Zeee 2s 8000 mah 100c batteries, great batteries, takes a long while for them to run down.

Thank you! Not sure if they are comparable though, haven’t had much experience with the Rlaarlo, heard they were good RCs though. Haven’t had a chance to make this one brushless or drive brushless one, but I’m sure it is a lot more fun!
Are those the 2.2's? Maybe the 1.9's would fit better if you don't want to trim that nice body.

Fun and fast, but fragile. I just clocked my Mini T at 43.8mph. Doesn't sound fast, but it's fast enough for that scale.

Just a note my friend and not meaning to insult your intelligence! But obviously most of us will tape our hatches! You can use whatever plastic or polyurethane tape such as electrical tape anything like that is more than waterproof for a run or too! Solves a lot of issues thanks for the video it is a very quick little boat that's for sure

I managed to make mine last for 2 weeks bearings froze and burned the motor up got all that replaced now the esc is screwed up had it since march of this year i must've gotten a lemon

cant decide on this, the normal sport, or the defender
I like the sport for the maintenance side, less servos less stuff to break, only con I have with the high trail sport is how too heavy it is.
How does this compare to the Typhon in durability and which do you prefer?
I prefer the senton, mainly because I’m a short course truck guy. The Typhon is very fun, but I had more problems out of it. Nothing major, like bent shocks and the the receiver messing up on me. Only thing about the Senton is tires, it will blow the tires right off.

My trx4 first basic mod was to tilt the rear shocks forward, for crawling it gave me better articulation. Might have to play with the spring tension though
I gotcha, from what I have learned with these high trail rigs, they seem a lot more trail capable rather than crawl capable. I’ll probably try that mod you did in mine down the road, I appreciate it!

some better tires and those things can get it check out mx acres vids on it and he made a super competitive bandit that won a few races. tires alone though gave him an extra like 4 seconds a lap which is more than even a brushless motor would give ya
I saw that, great video! I’m trying to get a bandit class going and wanting to try a setup like they had.
@@woodsyrc888_ the big difference from what he runs vs your track (which is cool) is that he's running stamped clay, high bite stuff and you're in loose dirt. Both equally cool but couldn't be more different. Yeah I'd like to see some knobby tires and this thing would perform pretty nice out on that track.
@@SteveSoper1979 yeah man this dirt is pretty loose and some better tires would make it go pretty well I think, im gonna be on the lookout for some good knobby tires for this bandit and then I’m gonna see what it can do, appreciate it!
