I have just seen an article saying that we are not recycling anything close to 70% of our plastic waste. Is the (hard) plastic waste picked up kerbside actually recycled right now? Curious - I would be interested to know which companies are actually doing the recycling and what is produced from the recycling if you have anything on this.. :) thanks for sharing this video
Hi Kirsten the video was saying that this specific MRF recycles up to 80% of all of the weight it processes. The amount of plastic, Australia wide that is being recycled is as you say is no where near the targeted number proposed by APCO back in 2017.
