TH-cam University thanks Master Dan!
4:55 not sure if i understood you there correctly, but if we have an aquifer with low transmissivity, the cone of depression should be steep and narrow and not broad and shallow? since the water cannot move through the aquifer easily, the pumps will drain out the water close to the well with more drawdown rather than create a large cone
Yes, exactly!
Good explanation
Thank you so much. I have been trying to understand the QAPF classification of igneous rocks . Thank you
Helping me for my test,VERY helpful!
Thank you I was losing my mind, before understanding that S=Sy for unconfined
Ayyo?? Suddenly everything make sense
A very clear description - thank you.
You're funny
Thomas Helen Brown Eric Davis Sharon
very powerful information this will force me to have my well deepen again to collect more water
Not sure if you will see this but we have a carbon capture sequestration planned for the confined Mahomet Aquifer here in illinois. Wouldn't storing co2 under an aquifer potentially cause harm to the water source??
I am studying for the Washington Hydrogeologist specialty exam, and this really helps to understand the content. Much appreciated!
This is so helpful
I stumbled upon this whilst doing a hydrology quiz. And yes this video is 7 years old and probs not that appropriate.. But you have an attractive voice and could use that weapon to teach literally any topic for high school and college female students haha.
Wow this videos make the topics so easy to understand. thank you
Love this channel and its content!
@@erkanklc3144 thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining that . The 2d drawing really helped me understand everything much better .
Thank you!!!
Is recharge rate fixed or is it dependent on the draw down? I would think that with greater draw down youd have a steeper gradient in the cone which would lead to faster recharge. With a small draw the pressure difference isnt that great and it wouldnt draw as much water in.
I live in a cone of depression
@futurecanoe what are you doing here
Most useful and clear explanation on youtube.
Perfecto!
How about primary water? Confined?
When did mankind first realise that water was down there?
im in IIT, i have this topic in my course, thank u
Thanks, great explanation.
is there a way to calculate and estimate the level across the cone of depression?
Thank you very much. I could only understand it perfectly well after watching your video. But you didn't talk about the critical point...
It means to say find the opening of Aquifers to pull water efficiently and utilize in a Moderate Way. And, make use of Water Conservation projects to recharge Aquifers.
hi Sir, I am struggling to find a solution in my home, how can I reach you ?
So cool❤
thankkk youuuuuu
Thank you Mr! Hopefully I smash this hydrology/ hydrogeology x Biosphere exam now
Allah Ali yafakhr nassara
Thanks for the video
I am using this for a subject called "Materials in mechanical engineering" and my book that I was given sucks, you are a savior!
This is the concept
the best video ever !

❤❤❤❤❤❤
How did you come up with the 10 gpm?
Can an unconfined aquifer in a complicated topography of high and low altitude be modelled as a confined aquifer due to convergence issues?
dark magic for me, atleast it was. First year of Mechatronic and SOMEHOW I'm learning this. (p.s I live in Europe)
cool
thanks a lot
Thanks
Super❤❤
You think your smart dont you?
Reasonably smart I guess
