Wow you really made the most of your day trip there. I would usually stay overnight in unfamiliar places that are kinda far away esp if commuting bec not everything thing here is 24 hours. For tipping, you can always check their menu or bill if it has service charge (usually 10%). If not, that’s when we usually tip. But sometimes we also give marginal tip even if it has service charge if the service was really good and you think they deserve more.

If there’s no Toyo, calamansi w sili for tawilis, I usually ask for vinegar with isdang bagoong (not the usual bagoong). And I also request for bulalo broth if they allow it.

I used to buy cook rice for 5 pesos, cooked vegetable dish for 10-15 pesos and It's free soup. But most of the time I buy Tortang talong or also known as Eggplant Omelet for 25 pesos and free soup in Karenderya during College.

Awesome! Tips or not, Filipinos still gives a friendly and great service. If you appreciate the service, why not? For me, talking with these big hearted people is reason enough to give tips. i went there summer 2023 and there's a bunch of women offering massages for 150 pesos in burnham park. to be more accurate, they were insisting and it was very very annoying. my mom got pressured and availed one and the "massage" was useless, she barely felt anything 😂 glad they put up that sign out there. i hope they're following it because you go to burnham park to relax then they go and really ruin it for you.
