Wow that rain coat is fabulous ❤
I just found your videos. I love your style and excited to try to duplicate some of your clothing and accessories for myself.
It turned out really well, I like how you are designing pieces to work together!
This is great, thanks. You covered things I couldn't find elsewhere 😊
You're welcome!
That is one of my favourite shades. Lovely job and much more stylish and funky than the dress
Thank you so much!
It look very cool 😎
Thank you!
Love your work. In Sydney too. Do you know a good hairdresser to achieve the blonde??
I don't (I do my own hair - because it's mostly white anyway ^_^ )
I just discovered your channel--WOW! So much fun! I'm excited to watch your past videos and eager to see your future ones!
Thank you
I hope you have an opportunity to wear that lace overlay, it looks fabulous!
It's fun!
I use a french custom patternmaking system. Style ease is added in equal amounts to chest, bust and hips. waist is less and sometimes abodomen. Upper arm and wrist get ease. The ease is added into the body measurements. Resulting total is used when calculating half, quarters and so on.
Oh! Interesting!
I have the menswear version of this book on order. Good review, and thanks for the tip about ease!
Glad it was helpful!
Funnily enough, I had a thought a few days ago that I should make a Heavy Sack to wear with my cosplay for PAX in October. We've got the P4J inspired one, but that's a bit flat for my liking. I think the images didn't end up in the final version of the video, btw.
DO IT!!
Painting the piping with the paper still on is so smart!
It worked so well!
This looks so lush and cozy!
It might be one of the best things I've ever made!
Wow that came together so fast! I love that its reversible! Its too bad the satin binding is so hard to work with, it looks great
(Ugh and I still haven't replaced the binding... >.< )
you made that chair look so eligant
Thank you!!
Looks fabulous!
It was a lot of fun!
I made one, from a vintage 1940’s pattern with a shawl collar and princess seams, out of flannel. I love it. Can’t find nice ones on the rack anymore
Oooo that sounds wonderful!
I'm sorry but I'm having trouble with what kind of fabric youre using? I understand that its sherpa but what is it backed with? And where did you get it? I can find sherpa backed with suede but that doesnt seem to look right. The final form looks absolutely beautiful though! 😊
I'm trying to find an example but the best way to describe it is that it's a fluffy grey sherpa (polyester) fleece on one side, bonded to a smoother black coral fleece on the other, but bought as one fabric (though I suppose you could make your own?!) The bond seems to be a light fabric glue? With not much effort I could separate the two layers. I hope that helps!
Looks awesome, gotta wear this when Witches' Festival rolls around!
Oh ABSOLUTELY
I love it! ❤
Thank you!
👍
Gosh, I would love to order this from you to make me one! I didn’t think I had robe requirements until I remembered I hate robes, or all I’ve seen lol 😅 but I loved this! The sleeves and the waist line! 🎉❤
Thank you!!
Great job! It looks so warm and comfy!
It is!
Fantastic! What a fabulous job you did on that! All those bits and pieces were the perfect fit. I make chatelaines and sell them online here in Australia on Etsy but they are made from all new components which don't quite have the same authentic look. You're obviously astute at finding the right sort of thing
Thanks so much! 😊
I liked your video because you remind me of myself when I start something new. I always put something on the wrong way or upside down. I hope you continue to do videos like this as we can learn so much.
Thank you so much!
When my phone case gave up in a similar way, I ended up stabbing holes in the back plastic with an awl and attached the front by hand sewing. I saved the transparent front and encased it in lace so I could still see the time through it. It's a mess, but it's functional. 😅
Ooo! I like that idea tho!!
I so want that for my work badge holder!! A place for my coins and cards, and the see through for my badge!! How much? Merch?
:D You'll need to make your own <3 but I know you could!
I mean, if the magnet isn't going to work... you'll probably not use it ??? The saga continues....
Funnily enough - it's ~just~ sticky enough - still using the phone case (tho some of the stitching is a bit "dog's breakfast" )
OH NO ! Not the Polarity!!!
:D :D :D
Could you still do the red leather facing down. Put some thin fusing material (the fabric you put in to make your collar a lil stiffer) with it to protect it and it would easily tear away.
Oooo maybe!
My fingers are cramping up in sympathy Icy! I love the multi-layer idea to have the lamp change its look when it's switched on.
I'm so happy with it!!
Wow that's so much hand sewing!! The lamp shade is beautiful, very impressive!
Thank you so much!
What are the measurents of the clapper
About 5 x 15cm on the flat and 2cm thick - though it should be thicker. If you're making one anything that works for you is fine.
that little mesh pouch is AMAZING
I was so lucky to find it!!
Interesting!
At 8:40 you talk about following plans for a bespoke sleeve and that you'll link the respective video but no card came up for me. Thank you for sharing this with us, what a treat!
Updated! TY Manic!
I love the full length video of your outfit, you look amazing ❤
Thank you so much!!
Wish you would do a look through your wardrobe
LOL! It's mostly black! :D
It looks great Icy! I should get back to my most complicated things. I have unfinished projects that are older than my adult nephew & niece >.>
(ahem. Carefully doesn't look in the wardrobe where a 3/4 finished long winter coat has been sitting for 18+ years...)
Oh wow that is absolutely gorgeous!!!
Thank you so much!
Oh Icy that is so very beautiful. Got goosebumps when you showed the reveal. Outstanding work. Thank you for sharing ☺️
Thank you so much!
That jacket is a work of art !!! Well done !!! Wonderful design n execution... I have 55 years of experience n I've done a few blazers... I love how you think on your feet n work thru problems... thank you for sharing your method... stunning... just stunning 😍
Wow, thank you! <3
You could ice dye some black over your purple shirt and it'll look tie dyed purposefully! I like to dye things that i haven't been wearing and I'm very lucky that my sister takes meticulous notes and keeps paper towels of the various dyes we add. If I was on my own I'd just chuck stuff in at random but it is nice to be able to recreate our results. Lol
Oooo! Ice dye is a good idea!
I watched Dune again for the 10th time last night 😅 and I just keep this dress in my mind. Glad I googled it! You did a wonderful job 👏🏽 It's SO beautiful 😍 You're beautiful 😍
TY!
‘Most of the time, I’m in my house in front of the computer’ … mood 😅
MOOOOOOOD :D
Would love more readings like this ❤
Can do ^_^
Luv it! Extrao9rdinary job! TFS! Lil hugs xo
Thank you so much!
I really like your ideas and watching them become a reality is so fun! I think turning the dress into separates was the way to go. The shirt looks very cool and you made it look so easy to make. I have some sheer fabric I haven't known what to do with but now I want to try your design. Also that belt! I love everything about it the shape, the texture, the shine factor ❤ well done!
DOOOO EEETTTTT!! I'm planning a very 80s look with just the top :D
Sorry to say, but the final result is not that good.there are two gores for a reason ;) it gives much more curvier silhouette ! The back gap is way to big - it should be around 5cm all and all and it should be PARALLEL ,if it’s not like in your case it means the garment is NOT balanced properly ;) just saying ;)
Thanks for the feedback. I'm still happy with this pattern I made from scratch.
