Create photo slideshow movie (.mp4) with filenames displayed - using PowerPoint.
Easily create a simple photo slideshow movie (.mp4) with filenames - using PowerPoint 2016, 365, etc. Select desired time (default is 5-seconds for .mp4 files) that each photo is displayed. Note: background color, transitions, font color, font type, etc. can be changed - but is not covered in this video (the ability to apply a theme is, however, covered). Note: when the slideshow is created, each slide will have the photo's filename displayed at the bottom as a caption - but each caption can be edited to display whatever you want.
NOTE: please select 1080p video quality (via gear icon or via pulldown) for best viewing.

      I believe that there are some on Etsy. They have all kinds of RIng doorbell mounts, for all kinds of surfaces.

      @@davemdks I have a compilation of videos where they are only modified. I am the type of person who believes something must be created first in order for it to be modified. Is that not correct?

      @@tinadean2369 I'm not sure why there is no creation date. If you need to change date fields (i.e., Created, Modified, or Accessed) listed under the General tab (as opposed to the Date Taken field listed under the Details tab) then you could use Attribute Changer (or a similar) app. Note: cutting and pasting a file should cause there to be a creation date - you could do that (but the date would end up being the current date). Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

    this was very helpful all the other videos just made it look like u just needed to slide it under the cover it it would "find the grove to slide into". seeing where and how that happens made it much easier

      Note: going to etsy.com and searching for "ring doorbell mount" might be a better option (if you can wait for the mount to be shipped to you) than the mounting block shown. They have some low-cost mounts (and free shipping) that are custom made for Ring doorbells. NOTE - the following information is from 2020: HomeDepot has these Ply Gem mounting blocks (search for: BLK040H) in various colors (or you could paint it to match your siding - which worked well for me). Cost is about $11. Lowes also have them (search for item number: 790813 - to get model number EZBLK040) in Clay and possibly in other colors. Cost is about $13. Amazon has some (search for: EZBLKO40). Cost is about $11.

    Very useful! I would only add that the procedure for multiple files only worked for me if all the files selected had **the same** initial date (in my case there were a few hundred files with four different dates, and when I initially selected all the files, I was unable to edit the date)

    If using the Basic (i.e., free) version, DON'T use the Editor! The Premium ($1/month - for 2020) version is needed to export the edited (i.e., crops, shapes, stickers, etc.) image. Note: you can however try Premium for a week for free.

      Thanks! The repair was done a little over two years ago - and is holding up beautifully. I spray painted it to match the rib color (and protect against rust) - you have to look hard to even see the repair.

      This doesn't work for me. Either it's broken in 2021 or it has a problem with photos on a network file share. But thanks for the reminder about doing it in Windows Explorer, especially for multiple files. Sometimes exiftool is just too much work for a quick change :)

    If you have a problem (ex: aspect ratio seems to be reversed) cropping a photo, then try working with a copy (see Description section for how to create one) of the photo.

      Not sure if you can change a folder's date via Windows - but you could give Attribute Changer (freeware app) a try (note: I have not used the app - but it claims to be able to change a folder's dates, times, etc.). Hope this helps.

      @@DougieDoodle Yes, remove the knockout and drill two holes in the mounting block. Attach the angle bracket along with the mounting block using two self-drilling screws through the two holes and into the clapboard. Very simple to do.

      @@alvinyoung1 No, the side profile of the mounting block matches the profile of 4-inch (or 5-inch) siding. No cutting of the siding (or mounting block) needed!
