Goldmasters - Dr Who 1996 UK Gold part 1
มุมมอง 2.1K12 ปีที่แล้ว
A short lived quiz show made for and shown by UK Gold. 16 x 1st rounds where each contestant has the same TV show specialist subject - here is Dr Who. The top 2 winners went on to the next round and so on to a final. A bit embarrasing (OK a lot!) but great fun - oh the days before internet. Enjoy. Part 2 to follow soon.
Caroline John and Nicola Bryant. Sigh...
Brilliant to see so many classic Doctor Who's and companions together ❤️
00:14 what they idn't realise that the BBC would start airing a program called 'Brum' with a yellow car similar to this wow!!
Why are the doctors arguing at the end of the video
Patrick Troughton is in customers and colin baker and jon pertwee are in costume
Jon pertwee is my second favourite doctor who favourite doctor who and Patrick Troughton is my four favourite doctor who
It doesn’t matter what you think of the 6th Doctor, you can’t deny that Colin puts his heart and soul into it
0:15 🤣🤪Sorry Johnny N-T; flash all the chest hair you want, but Nicola Bryant is also in the car. End of sentence
I don't know if I like or hate the Sixth Doctor outfit, it looks so goofy but at the same time it is kinda cool. Lol
And the TARDIS can make people disappear when it materialises, was the person on the sofa a little too close?
I know it's not an episode but it's so cool seeing Patrick Troughton, Peter Davidson, Colin Baker and, my father's Doctor, Jon Pertwee there
Jon Pertwee never seemed to age.
His hair went from dark grey to snow white, how is that not ageing?
0:30 poor Davros looks so tired of being on display and just wants to get back to conquering the universe lol
Terry Wogan did a great magic trick of instantly disappearing from the sofa when the Tardis appeared
Oh Whosome
1985....look at how many of the Who family we still had access to....we had no idea how lucky we were to have that time when Doctor Who was still mostly whole (Hartnell and Jackie Hill were the only ones gone at that point).
Actually Jacqueline Hill didn't pass away until 1993.
WOULD PAY MILLION for meeting Colin Baker
"THAT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!"
One series only
I was on the Last of the Summer Wine edition.
My mind is blown by them all fitting in that thing wth I am 100% the kind of person who routinely gets distracted by shiny things
No Tom ??
Innocent better times! Wish I had a Time Machine! rather live in the 80s than 2023!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👍
All of the actors travelled from their homes, dressed up in costume, and presented cheques totalling.... £1100...how embarrassing!
1100 quid in 1985 would have been more like 75 quid with today's inflation.
You're embarrassing.
Wish I could’ve been there
I am going to meet Colin baker and Sylvester mcocoy and Peter Davidson and alot of his companion in the future in England
Very cool :)
Guess Tom Baker wasn't in the mood
I love this
Filmed when £1000 was actually worth something
No Tom Baker.
This is actually a better lineup than any multi-Doctor story! What a glam fam!!! 😍🥰😘🤓🤩
It's a shame that all the Doctors after Colin Baker up to Ncuti Gatwa weren't there as well...
Did you read the 1985 part?
@@fep70 Yes I did but they are supposed to be time travelers! 😁
@@Frank-Einstein-Madman that would be amazing, because Ncuti was born in 1992 lol.
3 and 2 just had to argue didnt they
"WILL YOU STOP ARGUING WITH ME?" - gotta be one of 6th Doctor's best lines
So sad that Troughton died 2 years later despite looking very healthy here
Heart attacks be like that, my grandad was fine one day and then he just went to sleep in his armchair and had a massive one. Supposedly he wouldn’t have even felt it. He was only 62, which isn’t young, but it’s isn’t really old either and that’s younger then Troughton who was 67.
@@josephchambers2000 Thanks for that! ... I'm 61! 🤣
Selfish Tom missing as always
Jon Pertwee just yelling "DEMATERIALIZE" made my day LMAO
Patrick Moore of course also knows the 11th Doctor.
Colin baker and Nicole are dressed up as the doctor and peri and Patrick troughton is dressed up as the second doctor but none of the other are in coustem
this was back in the day when the BBC protected jimmy Savill
Terry Wogan got Savile banned from ever appearing on Children in Need from the mid 80s onward as he was very concerned with the unhealthy attitude Savile had to children. There was also an occasion in the early 80s where Savile was leering at Joanna Lumley, she felt very uncomfortable, so he was banned, never to appear again on the show.
@@johnking5174But ripped the piss out of David Icke on 'Wogan', who exposed Savile years before the MSM touched the story.
Hi Mel I have not received this email
02:48 TERRY WOGAN: "Did he say well what came from? Stop interfering." 02:51 3RD DOCTOR: "He was total say where it came from." 02:53 2ND DOCTOR: "I did not!" 02:54 6TH DOCTOR: "Would you stop arguing with me?!" That part from the scene in Children in Need of Doctor Who makes me funny & laughter, because they were arguing each other.
I think that was 'told' not 'total'.
Tom Baker was the 80's Christopher Eccleston and decided not to show up.
Pretty much, and he didn't turn up for the exact same reason as Eccleston, he hated the producer. JNT had actively forced him out of the show by changing it in ways Tom didn't care for. Mind you he did come back for Dimensions in Time in 1993 which was still co written by JNT but the show was already off air by then so I guess as far as he was concerned the storm had passed cos JNT had lost his job too.
Xd. I think your right
I hope Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee liked each other.
They did
There was a bit of friction on the Three Doctors due to their different performance styles. But they quickly warmed up after that. All this bickering is deliberately played up at these events.
This just shows how dirty Colin Baker was done. He's an absolute ass in the 6 rendition. But in this, he is so sweet.
I know some people mostly don't like the 6th doctor, but I personally like Colin bakers portrait, and I believe the audio dramas do him justice
Colin is actually my favorite Doctor, and I think that coat is wonderful lol
I think much of Colin Baker's fandom comes directly from the audio dramas as they are all excellent.
I wish Tom baker and Peter davidson could be here it would be brilliant
Davison was there he just wasn’t in costume
Oh did not know
2 nd doctor my favourite doctor
Wonder where Terry Wogan will take the Tardis? A fine time capsule of those who have passed on and those we still have with us.
