How To Scan MultiTV / Satellite FTA Channels On AMCON Satellite TV
How To Scan MultiTV / Satellite FTA Channels On AMCON Satellite TV
To scan for FTA (Free-to-Air) channels on MultiTV or any satellite receiver, including AMCON Satellite TV, follow these steps:
### 1. **Connect Your Satellite Receiver to the TV**
- Use HDMI or AV cables, depending on your setup, to connect the satellite receiver to your TV.
- Turn on both the TV and the satellite receiver.
### 2. **Navigate to Settings**
- Using the remote control, press the **Menu** button on your receiver.
- Look for the **Installation** or **Setup** option in the menu.
### 3. **Select Satellite & Transponder Settings**
- In the installation menu, choose the satellite you want to scan (for MultiTV or AMCON, it’s often ASTRA 2F/2E at 28.2°E or 28.5°E for channels available in the West Africa region).
- You may also need to enter specific transponder details like frequency, symbol rate, and polarization:
- For MultiTV, commonly used parameters are:
- **Frequency:** 12522 MHz
- **Symbol Rate:** 30,000
- **Polarization:** Vertical
### 4. **Choose a Scan Option**
- Select **Blind Scan** or **Auto Scan**. Blind Scan allows the receiver to search all available transponders on the satellite.
- If using Auto Scan, you may need to select FTA-only to find free channels (excluding encrypted ones).
### 5. **Start the Scan**
- Confirm and start the scan. The receiver will search for all available channels on the selected satellite.
- Wait for the scan to complete. It may take a few minutes.
### 6. **Save and Exit**
- Once the scan is complete, save the channels found.
- Exit the menu and return to viewing mode.
You should now have access to all available FTA channels on your MultiTV or AMCON receiver.
