What is the music called!?

Genius is overused but it applies to George Carlin. He is much missed and we could with his voice right now.

Listened to John on WLS/890 from Philadelphia after he left our WIBG/990 and went to Chicago.

I used to haul ass through supermarkets, pointing at random people and calling out "BOOGIE CHECK!" (no idea until now where I might have picked up the phrase). Sometimes, folks would boogie where they stood!

I am so with George on so many of his ideas, especially the "disruption events" to the masses. I don't know why. I have no criminal record, haven't violated anyone but...I am amused by an event of somewhat mass hysteria. Overpopulation the reason? Maybe...or...we Anglo Americans decimation of the indigenous peoples of north America to make room for our exploits and toxification of the land n sea and air? I dunno...

at 16 and moving back to Chicago this station & Saul saved my sanity(its time i listened he played Stairway followed by I Talk to the Wind...i would listen every evening). thank you for feeding my memory. loved every program and i still use some of his key phrases "Sounds From Across The Big Swamp" so many bands, and genre presented in the most interesting ways. The station, the magazine, the music, the DJ. Couldn't get it when i went off to college but when i got home...first thing i turned on.

Tom Snyder had such an impact on me as a young man with his unique way of conversation that I followed him to Marquette University to study broadcasting and journalism. The guy was really awesome, god bless his daughter and family who keep his memory alive!

I remember sneak listening to this as a little kid when I was supposed to be in bed.

Tom Snyder often caught flack, but here, he really didn't get in Carlin's way and created enough enthusiasm that Carlin totally responded. Really excellent interview. It bums me out there aren't shows like this anymore.

didn't make 94 :( ... I'd love to hear what he would have to say in this day and age.

Mr. Duds you are right Sir. George would love this covid 19 crap ,hypocrisy out the Ying yang . You know these comedians around are country are letting a good catastrophe go to waste. I'm sure that's the way George would see it. By shedding lite on this covid, you would be enlightening people to all of the lies and BS that are harming people. It just might get these idiots to stop lying about it. You know if George was still around ! I think things would be a lot different.

Carlin's straight-faced, unaffected delivery of words showing extreme indifference to human suffering, tragedy and death, is a balanced manifestation of Buddhism and psychopathy, which is dearly missed in our dystopian, apocalyptic times.

I follow a philosophy inspired by George. Any other Carlinists here?
