If yur interested gow into Google Maps look for Phoenix Park Dublin you will see them it's actually look like doe's gas lanterns !from just 👍
Does street lights gas lamps I have seeing them there not far where I live its in Phoenix Park Dublin I have seen dose gas lamps lit up at night the ones I seen they'are not very bright many times I've driven past in my car at night times they are look like that lantern that one you have ther from Justin 👍
From just 👍
that just looks like a sad joke. but definitely not the smallest. the smallest lantern i've seen is COLDYMORE's Rush Micro 5-8 watt LED. it is about the size of the typical adjustable spigot part of a normal sized LED lantern. it only puts out a flashlight beam of light onto the road. and worst of all, it's completely sealed. now that's what i call a real sad joke.
Great Comment, with you all the way,
@@jayewaters3921 trust me, they are a joke!
Dual capacitors were not uncommon in HID fixtures. I remember seeing two caps in fixtures here in the US years ago. Another thing, I have never seen a roadway fixtures made of plastic except for those I have seen which come from Europe. In the US, all roadway and exterior light fixtures are made of metal. I recently found some of the 400 W HPS lamps in the tubular envelope, same as the one in this video, as opposed to the more common elliptical ones at my local Habitat ReStore. I also found a couple 600 W HPS lamps in the same tubular envelope which are mainly used in horticulture.
I've seen ones like that before . But they we're a high pressure sodium lights .
Liķe, these streetlights I saw as a kid, they we're all like a, they all had a PL-T CFL bulb in them, but the fixtures were not like lol like this one that you have here, they were all AEC, "AEC Lunoide" street light name. And the company, "AEC" Like just saw the same Clone of fixtures, but they were white as they were turned on .
Well, I believe, the all had the PL-T, but definatly, CFL, because of the shape of the bulb like it shaped like the brissells from a white electric toothbrush . Lol so definatle CFL
Hi i'm viatron from Sheffield once again, so why a so-called small l.e.d. street light or lantern sadly didn't have an aluminium canopy like our e.u. manufactured ones such as schreder axia 3 or the Philips digistreet as a regular types what are already wired with a proper l.e.d. driver unit because when I saw it it was just a very small l.e.d. unit via it might be a different voltage may blow all the l.e.d.s & the earth wire wasn't even soulded in & subjected to how they had sold it on a very dodgy website at the time via testing it out outside? or if it goes bang & causes an electrical power cut in your shed. My suggestion is to call Trading Standards immediately via showing this item as evidence if you are dupped again & that is a very serious warning if you buy things online. Thank you for your co-operation on this very important dodgy so-called l.e.d. street light issue from David Viatron Esquire of crookes in Sheffield.
I'd give that 6 weeks outside give or take 2 weeks depending on how much it rains
Totaly agree with you Leo
Hi Jaye, be careful with that one, doesn't look a good one, no earth connection. Take care
Thanks shaun, Yes always double careful, not risk taken
They would look good inside in the ceiling in my opinion
Indeed it would, or for camping, add and inverter
WRTL 2600 of doom back there... the shedding, the horror!!
Iluminação pública 💡
Hi Jaye , these lanterns were not used in Wrexham and in the county of Wrexham but they were about in near by Flintshire around Deeside area, catch you soon Take care
i love these little things, I have a couple of the remote z9580 versions. I think these were the smallest low pressure sodium lantern (at least with a horizontal lamp)
just to point something out you dont have to undo them bolts to take the gear tray out, its the philips head screw on the left with the keyhole side.
Hi Jaye, Where I use to live as a child the road behind me had these Phosco P224 with the 35 watt tube on CU concrete posts these were fitted in 1973 the road where I lived on had the same concrete post with Phosco P125 35 watt these were fitted in 1970/71. Today nearly all the CU concrete posts are still there but all fitted with LED lamps rest of the poles are steel. Nice to see one in working order again, Take care
Reminds me of a Cybertruck/DeLorean Style.
I miss the yellow glow of these LPS lamps lighting up the night. As a child I spent many evenings watching the one outside my bedroom window warming up. There is something nostalgic about comforting glow of them coming through the curtains. In my neighbourhood they were replaced with fluorescent lighting around 10 years ago. While the fluorescent lamps that replaced them have better colour rendering than the monochromatic LPS, they do not compare in efficiency of lumens per watt thanks to their average wavelength of 589.3 nm being almost at the peak sensitivity of human vision. Neither do they spread light nearly as far. It’s ironic that they were replaced with fluorescent lamps considering that even they are on their way out now. Thanks for the vid!

lovely lantern pile in the back ground too
Very nice classic streetlight. Mercury power! Cheers
I remember back in 1994 me First collection is GEC 55w sox fixture over 30 years since when I start collecting
It's look like stare wars movie,
I have too off dose ELECOs Lanterns 55w sox LPS SOX LAMPS,
Remember do not Without ballast from 240v ⚡️
FGS was never SOX it was always fluorescent. XGS is the SOX version.
There was some printing errors where XGS lanterns had been called FGS as LeoLamposts had one.
@@JamMC i also have one laying around here. Pretty strange.
I've seen these in Fordingbridge, Hampshire.
I had one of these but it was an aluminium canopy, is that one you have the next generation? Think mine was from the 80s.
this one has fibre glass canopy
A real man would have fitted a 55w tube and bored a hole in in the bowl to make it fit lol.
6 days ago I dun the same with INDUSTRIA 2600 Lantern 100w son MBF/U too 35w sox lamp with the fixture that I convert into From just 👍
Hi Jaye, nice conversion to a 24 watt PL L lamp, I bet it throws some light. I do have a sox 35 watt version of this lamp. Great video, take care
thanyou, thought i would make use of this spare lantern
Amazing street light from where did you get that
i obtained these lantern from local contractors
Lâmpada pl Philips 24 Watts 💡
good thing it wasnt live into the earth or that could have ended with a bang!
It's labeled for sale in the USA. Surprised you couldn't work that out on your own.
The fact was you could use any voltage lamp in this fitting. Lamp holders are not voltage regulated so why 100v when you can put any voltage to it. Thats the question
Over here, we think a bollard is a steel pipe, filled with cement, buried several feet into cement, with the idea that if you hit it, you stop moving. What you have there we call "an electric sign". LOL
Jaye it's Justin have you still got that THORN alpha 9 the one behind you;
Hi Jaye, that bollard will look nice on your garden path, great video
thankyou shaun
very interesting video Jaye ❤
yay vid for you, 😃😃😃
Jaye it's Justin i got one of those people before on my comments so I'm sorry to Bother you at this time @@jayewaters3921

Hi i'm viatron from Sheffield once again, I remember the first version of the Thorn Beta two 55w SOX/H integral gear side entry sodium lantern back in 1986 via the history it were in fact an slightly longer stretched version of the standard Thorn Beta Five 35w SOX/H version via it had a more raised canopy of the Mk.l variant & with your current Mk.ll version being more flater subjecting to the modifications by Thorn Lighting. Thank you for your co-operation on this very special history of the Thorn Beta Two sodium lantern subject from David Viatron Esquire of crookes in Sheffield.
Hi i'm viatron from Sheffield, I know that type of l.e.d. street lantern via being in Doncaster, South Yorkshire who ordered a lot of these in bulk to replace it's old conventional h.p.s. & l.p.s. type lanterns via their 5G central street lighting switching control system using Telensa antenna & N.E.M.A. telecells. So why you visit Doncaster & to do an very special outside broadcast on this type of l.e.d. street light. Thank you for your co-operation on this very special l.e.d. street lighting subject from David Viatron Esquire of crookes in Sheffield. I'm a very classic G.E.C. VIATRON Z8432 400w MA/V mercury lantern what shines in a very strange refractor way in the dark.
I did light up before Menny times my mother used to say to me many electric shocks that I got,
I have 6 of those 125 Mercury vape with the Old Street lamps between the mid 60s and the early 70s the 6 with the three pins on it
Yes those 3 pins amused me when i was younger, then i found out it was to stop GLS BC lamps being used by mistake, got a few 3pins too.
@@jayewaters3921in my order videos coming up soon I'm growing to show 125w mercury vapour fixture these are old ones you might recommend them when you were young mercury vap lamps 125ws tree pins that I probably show ye but you might be to see this video coming up cheers from Justin my friend 👍

Hi Jaye, 29mm the diameter of the tube is...........er, no idea i'm the same as you on this one. Catch you soon, Take care
