No, a zippy greenhouse is plastic, a cold frame tends to be made from wood with plastic sheeting.

I have a question... my Cosmos are huge.. at least 10ft probably more. But now that it's November and I live in NE Ohio where it's cold now... do I cut them or pull them all out?
Wow - those are HUGE. You'll need to pull them all out once the frosts come as they are tender. However, I don't know about the zones in the US so you might also want to check with a US flower grower.
How about the doubles like madame Butterfly?

Lemon Queen, the hybrid perennial does not produce viable seed so not really sure what you are sowing there...although there is an ANNUAL sunflower which goes under the same name.

So helpful, thankyou. I have had an allotment for 17 years but have only recently started growing flowers for cutting. I was doing what you describe - cutting a blooming head with very short stem and leaving the buds behind. With regards to the conditioning, would it be OK to leave them outside overnight in a bucket. You said you put yours in the garage, do they need to be under-cover?
I would say so given the english weather! Plus you want them somewhere dark - use your bathroom or coolest room in the house if you don't have a garage.

I must admit cosmos is not my favourite I prefer Lavatria they grow into the most beautiful different shades of pinks to white masses of flowers
A kind welcome center caretaker in Castroville, TX allowed me to take some seeds from a huge yellow cosmos growing outside the center. I was so attracted to the plant because it was covered in bees, moths, butterflies and hummingbirds. The kind caretaker even provided a ziplock bag for me in which to collect the seeds. I had never planted cosmos before. I've started a few in containers and just bought a package of single sensation mixed which I plan to plant directly into an area in my yard.
