my issue is that the latest update made everything dark. now when i’m scrolling through youtube or anything that auto displays the trailer i get a black screen and then everything becomes dark and it plays- when it ends or if i scroll to the next title it goes black, turns bright again and repeats. i unplugged and it fixed the black screen issues but it came back the next day so i’ve now reset to factory settings and it hasn’t changed a thing i’m so sad lol. all that work. 😭 any suggestions? prior to this past two updates my tv was a dream i’m debating downgrading to that firmware.

Bob Brinker, host of the talk show Money Talk for 32 years passed away peacefully at the age of 82 in Santa Fe, New Mexico on August 18th 2024. This is very sad news but he thankfully he lived a long life. I started listening to his show in 1989 on WLS AM Chicago and never missed a weekend until he retired in 2018. While I never subscribed to his newsletter, I credit him alone with his sound advise of the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index as a core and as the one who allowed me to to retire at 53 without a pension, but of course he was modest and would say you did it all. He was a long time resident of Henderson Nevada so he must have recently moved to New Mexico. He retired 2018 having served his listeners for 32 years guiding them "To the land of critical mass" so it was well deserved. Sorry to have to pass along that his son announced that Bob passed away at age 82 on August 18, 2024. Thanks for everything Bob. You helped me and many others achieve their financial goals and entertained us along the way. For years I had a routine of going to a local State Park and starting a 5 mile hike when his show began and I would finish the loop just before it ended. Time well spent.

I have one...... TOTALLY worthless out of the box. Blades do NOT align. Once one side the the bezel/case are aligned properly the other side isn't close.... aligned into the middle of the bezel. At a result it's worthless at present.

Yeah is a pain to try and figure out a misfire if you don't see any obvious signs..... Causes range from electrical, mechanical, and fuel.. So.... pretty much everything that makes the car run. lol... I've fixed a few and it's almost never the same thing. So just gotta check everything.. Sucks... If your really stuck starting backwards what I do.. Compression check the engine.. then go from there no point in looking for stuff if have low compression....is the problem..

this latest update made ONLY dolby vision dark on my 75U8K. But you're saying thats exactly what it fixed? I notice no difference in brightness when I turn it on. Just dolby vision is super dark, should i still try factory reset?

My August update just nerfed my U8K. Dolby vision movies are dark and the game hub and all the features are gone on my 55 in Hisense U8K. It just updated Sunday and screwed the TV up

Is there an easy way to see what version I'm on and what update this is?

For a couple of weeks I used SDR 1080p settings to watch films on my VUDU but now after the last update or two it looks vivid , smooth and detailed with vg brightness . Specular highlights on Fury Road and Aliens look magnificent . And I do notice after adjusting , that motion and image processing look even better than before . Also different streaming services will be better than others . Disney Plus and Movies Anywhere look outstanding ... ultra smooth and detailed , great motion , both better than VUDU which is very good itself . TH-cam HDR demos look unbelievable but make sure you set each video's resolution to the highest . Using a 2.1 HDMI for a soundbar and 4K player will also maximize things too . I do notice that there are two picture settings whose parameters look identical but may need separate adjustments as well . In the Google settings scroll to the top right of the screen , click onto picture settings and adjust to the bright settings of your choice . Then as you stream , go into your Hisense remote and click onto your picture settings , and adjust to your taste likewise . I've found that many times both settings aren't coordinated so they need separate adjustments . A little finicky but doing this for a couple of weeks will make it a snap to redjust settings when necessary . I got the 75" U8K several months ago on clearance and couldn't be happen with this ADS Pro Panel . I have the 65" model too but the immersiveness and vibrancy of the 75" can be spectacular .

The peak brightness setting will elevate your black levels something fierce in HDR content. It’s just another post processing effect and is not akin to the peak luminance or peak brightness settings with OLEDs

Still some of the only youtube content out there on the ADS Pro panel and its performance. Even with it being on the 75" this year too. All any TH-camr touches is the 65" VA apparently

I've heard of this update since Early June... It is now August, and I've recieved ZERO firmware update for this. I don't understand how others can get this update but my 65 inch u8k has not. We're 3 months in.

Wish I had anything like that in my country. We now have to pay a tax on an item which costs more than $150. Once I bought a Seiko for $500 and had to pay around $170 tax in total.

friend I have the 75 inch U8k I am from Costa Rica but when I connect the PS5 console the TV dims it badly the HDR looks very dark compared to SDR it is very bright this update solves it I am from Costa Rica

Hello, I agree with you and of course we do not absolutely need p125 because break grease is very expensive and it is recommended for the chronograph only. Regarding 8217 (glissalube20) it is a generic brake grease for barrel springs, I read somewhere that 8212 is optimized for aluminum barrels and 8213 for brass barrels. And because I am French, I am sorry to hear that you received an expired product from France. I've never encountered this kind of problem, but to be honest, I'm not surprised. Since France has been under European obligation, things have gotten worse and worse. I hope this changes in the future! Have a nice day and happy watchmaking
