2004 Mustang Rear Main Seal Removal and Installation Prep
มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Today we will be tackling the removal and installation prep of the rear main seal in a 04 Mustang GT. This video will show the dos and do nots as well as things to be aware of when performing this task. Don't forget to share, like and subscribe to watch more of the progress on the Mustang! 04 Mustang Battery relocation is done...almost, mostly, close.
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Substantial completion! I hate those words when talking to contractors but the battery relocation, circuit breaker installs, wiring and cut off switch is up to substantial completion. I simply need a cable end that is appropriate for the stud coming off the alternator. I made this task much more complicated than I needed to, but I'm happy with the end result. If you are only looking to move the...
Ratchet rake, Landscape Rake and Mahindra 1526 vs recently cleared land!
มุมมอง 4.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The land clearing company is finished with the big pasture but it looks like a warzone. So, to clean it up I get to play with a few new attachments for the tractor. I purchased a Ratchet Rake for the front bucket, a Landscape rake and a seed spreader. I'm going to experiment a bit to figure out how to effectively clear the minefield. At the end I'll share my opinions and what I learned.
Battery relocation part I Box assembly, cutoff switch and circuit breaker location/mounting
มุมมอง 5722 ปีที่แล้ว
Part I is all the thought, design and planning on how to install a cutoff switch and circuit breakers cleanly on the new battery box mounted in the trunk. Space is an issue, but fortunately the battery is much smaller than the inside dimensions of the box. I install three breakers. One for the main car electrical system which will include the starter, a second for the two audio amplifiers we in...
Amps, Subs, wiring and rear seat delete kit install are done!!
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Finally! What started as a simple rear seat removal and some decorative panel installation turned into a much larger job. We removed the seat in the previous video but getting the audio components correct proved time consuming. We removed some of the factory system, relocate the rear deck speakers, put in two subwoofers, mounted the two amps, correctly ran the wiring and then put the decorative...
Rear seat delete part 1, teardown and prep
มุมมอง 752 ปีที่แล้ว
We are finally tackling Josh's long time wish.....to delete the rear seat! He has always called it his second trunk, as its not big enough for someone to actually sit. Specs call for nearly 40lbs of weight saving. That means we can add a couple of subwoofers right? Kinda like skipping lunch and going to Pizza Hut for dinner, all comes out in the wash. Part 1 is the removal and prep. Part 2 will...
Wilwood Ebrake cable install 04 Mustang
มุมมอง 3342 ปีที่แล้ว
Finally we have the last piece of the big brake puzzle. The Wilwood specific emergency brake cables for our 04 Mustang. Wilwood rear calipers require the use of their proprietary cables for functional emergency brakes. We created a little extra work for ourselves as we jumped right in instead of looking things over first. Oh well, all good in the end. #Wilwood
Mahindra 1526 Annual Maintenance
มุมมอง 2.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Time the tractor gets a little love. We are clearing a few acres to turn into additional pasture, so the tractor will see quite a bit of use over the next few months. I wanted to get all my scheduled maintenance completed before racking up the hours. Fluids, filters, visual checks and of course the never ending love affair with the grease gun and the new Lock and Lube attachment. #lockandlube F...
Replacing the front, lower door hinge on a 99-04 Mustang

    When I open my door it drops down and you have to hold it up in order to close it again. I put some washers behind the bolts of the bottom hinge and it’s served as a temporary fix for the past year but now my door creaks like a mf. I wonder if this will solve my problem.

    • @NewEdgeDesigns
      @NewEdgeDesigns 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yup it will, the washers are going to end up binding your door swing and bending your hinges because they are no longer aligned.. I would replace at least the bottom hinge as soon as possible..

    Out of curiosity. Did y'all have and install the oil slinger that goes over the rear main. Granted Ford no longer calls it an "oil slinger". Because no oil even touches it. Unless of course the rear main does bad. I'm asking because I today I installed a new rear main on my 4.6L 2 valve. I'm just not 100% sure I've got everything fully seated. I know you can push the rear main in to far, supposedly. It's just I can no long get everything to move further into the housing, without doing some form of damage. So if y'all did not have or use the oil slinger. How far in did y'all push the main in. With the main and slinger in the housing. I might have the slinger proud towards the flex plate 0.20 or maybe 0.15. Any knowledge would be GREATLY appreciated!! 2 piece mains aside, this has got to be one of the most difficult mains I've done. Anyway, Thanks Guys!! Apologies for any typing errors, it's been a long day!!

    Wow my speed sensor tone ring is VERY pressed on with my T45 (I'm swapping the digital parts onto an older T45 with the analog speed sensor). My ring looks splined... was yours smooth? If I had the cash I'd just be putting a TR3650 back in my Mustang but I think this old style T45 will last the rest of my 04 GT's life... it came with the wrong trans so I'm just fixing it up so the digital dash will work while I'm replacing throwout bearing.

      I don’t know this from experience but it looks like it would just pop out somewhat as you’re tightening the plate back into the engine. Then you can probably just grab it with some pliers and pop it the rest of the way out.

    Biden didn’t start any of the supply chain problems. TFG stopped supplies from Mexico and Canada. We had a Global Pandemic that killed over 1 million USA citizens and TFG wanted us to drink bleach and stick lights in us. He said it would be over by Easter and churches would be full. Well we know that isn’t so. A Global Pandemic not only affects the USA but the whole world that obviously this guy below doesn’t understand. There were log jams of ships that couldn’t get anywhere. TFG also stopped trade from Mexico(remember they were suppose to build and pay for a wall? They would just swim around a wall.) and Canada so we couldn’t get items like (baby food this guy is referring too but says babby food) that we were out of. Oh and then there is TFG’s friend, Putin that has started a war that has messed us up. Biden is fighting tooth and nail to get things back under control and he so far is succeeding. And Biden HAS NOT stolen any classified documents from us.

    • @rickyricardo3551
      @rickyricardo3551 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well for one thing oil . Truckers have to pay more for fuel so do freighters and pretty much everything will go up in $ or get harder to find when oil goes up , think about it companies will ship less and things cost more too produce since oil is needed one way or another in most if not all industries . If you want one of the finer points that's no problem look at the things being sent to ukraine that should be used here and sending those items is also causing shortages in other industries , ie babby food , Americans are having a hard time getting it reasonably but instead of helping our citizens he sent millions of cans of baby food to a country that does not need it , instead he is doing nothing but waste tax money and resources on his own private interests like his sons addiction and business ventures or getting involved in a little spat between countries that do not involve us . One more thing is steel has also gone up because of joe Bidets policy's and now it cost more to produce and since we are not engery independent so we are paying more to rely on other countries . Fun fact Alabama is the only state that has everything it needs to produce steel by itself . But let's remember biden says we will be paying for his war .
