Very true.
Rule #5. Sleep separate from your wife. Sex becomes fantastic! It’s like a sex with a new partner each time. With aging you both notice unpleasant habits of each other when sleeping side by side. Going separate turns a new page in you life. You arrive like a macho to take your own )))
Hey really nice vid! I hace made a lot of those changes myself and can only confirm what you are saying. The closer we get back to nature, the better. Keep it up!
Hahaha 2. Reality Che'kck'ing but don't sweat the details😜
i love brussels sprouts
Dont eat brussels sprouts, eat meat.
I hadn't heard of a tatami pad for ventilation until now...
I think it is interesting how an in shape attractive younger man like this can face more challenges than a skinny 55 year old like myself. Have never experienced back or joint pains and have no trouble sleeping.
What about Squatty potty and the Dr. Gundry diet?
I will admit, I am "floor curious". Also, I am a fitness buff who loves to procrastinate, and I'm cheap or shouold I say thrifty. My matress is due to be replaced. Blows my mind it can be replaced with the floor, sleeping mat and bedroll. I allready have those in my camping kit...
If you don't have a bed in your room, you have SO MUCH room!!
I slept on a futon for nearly 2 years before out of necessity, and just got my bedframe and mattress a few months ago, let me tell you that the difference in how my joints and back feel is astronomical, not to mention I'm (shamefully) more sluggish than I was before, waking up wanting to stay in my cozy bed for another 20 minutes, and constantly needing to sit down during my shifts. This just goes to show that the most comfortable option, is almost always worse for you. I'll now start Alternating from bed to floor sleeping in the hopes of reversing what cushy mattresses have done to my back, and you (yes, you) should too.
I came to sleep on the floor by accident. I was I’ll and aching after long day shift. I didn’t want to go upstairs to bed . I slept on the carpet in the living room. I used a bedsheet to cover the carpet. I remember feeling comfortable there so I stayed. 10 years later, I still sleep on the floor. I did not know at the time why I preferred to sleep on the floor against the advice of my family and doctors. Now I know why I never had back pain, hip or joint pain. Everyone should try
PS you have a new subs. I love your channel.
I am almost 60 and I already did the things you are saying. I sleep on the floor comfortably for years, I don't buy clothes or furnitures, I eat less and less. I quit my job and moved to Africa from UK. I have never been happier. Easy life is the best.
Hola, soy de Valencia y me ha resultado curioso. Un saludo
cool bro
Ive been sleeping on a thin mattress on a kitchen floor for a year and my back pain is exactly the same as before, and I still often wake up groggy and all that. Take thes people saying its a cure all with a pinch of salt.
Does it have to be the floor or just a hard surface? Like a raised platform? Like 2 separate custom raised platforms instead of a mattress.
Sleeping on the floor right now I've been doing it for about a year tapping in from spanish town prison jamaica Moorlife
Bro, listen this: Horses jumping and running on a 40km island at the middle of the city. (Menorca)
Hey man, I loved this video! The information is fantastic, and I’ve always wanted to try floor sleeping but never taken the leap. I have some hopefully constructive feedback to share. I noticed your vocal delivery seems a bit stiff, and it sometimes comes across as robotic. It feels like you might not be completely comfortable or familiar with talking in front of a camera yet. It's totally understandable-it's a weird thing to get used to, but I really applaud you for putting yourself out there because practice is the only way to get better. One tip that might help is to pretend you're talking to a friend or your wife right in front of you. Watching videos about public speaking and improving tone and delivery can also be really beneficial. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the tip! I suspect it's cuz I'm trying to follow a script. If I get back to making videos I'll follow your advice and talk through pre-defined points. Maybe a bit more verbose, but also more natural.
I quit sitting on the toilet for anything. It is just dumb to poop through a half open chute, and it can cause major health issues. I now walk backwards 1 step for every 100 steps forwards. I still think you are hotter than fire. 😁
♥♥♥I loved this video ! Age 67..... I am heading to the floor tonight.
I removed my mattress off its base and replaced it with a nice dressed sheet of plywood.Add a couple of blankets for warmth underneath and its great
sleeping on those soft fluffy modern mattresses puts tremendous pressure on our posture and spine. Our bodies are adapted to sleeping on the ground, as we've done for hundreds of thousands of years
In Uzbekistan Sleeping on the floor is usual thing I was thinking about getting a Bed with a More Harder Mattress cuz Super soft ones are Uncomfortable as heck. Btw the quote "a Harder bed, makes you harder" Sounded a bit weird, but true i guess 😏
so we can expect her posture to degrade over time
I'm 20, and I've learned all of these lessons but I still use my phone carelessly rather than reading and haven't gotten around to floor sleeping yet (maybe soon). I'd like to mention other things I've learned not included here (as these are mostly philosophical rather than practical): -Taking cold showers -There are no universal rules, AKA everything is possible. This helps with thinking outside the box and gives a perspective I wish more people had on important subjects. Understaning this has given me a 3rd person view on everything and has made me feel like some people around me are trapped in the matrix. -Life is just about being happy (not earning money like many people seem to think especially in America). If you're happy consistently you've won life. -The future never comes. We live in the present our whole lives. Finally something I think you have realised too, is that everything we do for the sake of comfort/conveniance bites us back. The more we live in excess, the more we destroy the world around us. The more we suffer, the more it feels good after. From owning a large car (or a car at all) to sleeping on a bed (as you have mentioned), humans are exploiting nature to give them temporary satisfaction, which makes their lives worse in the long run if abused. I hope you read this 2 years after the publication of this video. Let me know what you think.
Spot on mate. Too hard is not the way to go. Just put a winter duvet on a carpeted floor and slept on that last night. Seven hours straight through, no back pain, no waking in the middle of the night, no over heating, lovely. I used to thrive on tatamis or just mattresses on the floor and my favourite is just my ultralight inflatable camping mat. I don’t know why just a thin layer makes such a difference but it does. I regularly help homeless guys out too and the first thing I’ll give them is a double layer of foam camping mat which improves their sleep and makes things a little easier easier when things are hard.
Good god Brussel sprouts are full of stuff you definitely should NOT be eating.
Please tell me more! References, especially.
You are very open about this stuff
Great! The sitting down to pee one is unmanly though
You should post thirst content
oh yeah, what you thirsty for? I'm a big fan of water with lemon and salt in the morning.
Lol
32 and been sleeping on the floor since I was 16. 😂
This is really interesting but the way you tell this story doesn't make your wife look very good. I hope there were other reasons why she needed the bed.
Where is the plan to your CTA?
😪Reading endless comments how it's changed lives to sleep on the floor; dunno I could do it, just too skinny, and too many back issues, and I feel like solidity inhibits the circulation further.....durn!
I guess you never know until you try, right? But if you go in expecting it to suck it's not worth it. And if you're truly sleeping amazing and feeling amazing, why bother? If not, tinker, and if not with sleep, with something else.
It takes awhile for sleeping on the floor to work.
Great video! It brings back memories... We (parents and siblings) used to live in Namibia, then called South West Africa, when I was at school. We used to live in Windhoek and several mines and I attended several schools and boarding schools in both Windhoek and Omaruru. Namibia is an amazing country with amazing people and given the opportunity I would move there in a heartbeat. There is something about Namibia that, once you have lived there, will always be a part of you and you will always long to return.
Ever since i was in the Navy ive been a firm believer in sleeping on extra firm surfaces. When I was in, you got a 2 inch foam mat on top of a steel bunk. Took some getting used to at first, but once you did, I had never slept better. These days I sleep on an Extra Firm Mattress. My wife says its hard as a rock, and she needed a 6" memory foam pad for her half the bed, but I still sleep like a baby. I fall asleep faster, and sleep better then her most nights (and it infuriates her to no end that i can fall asleep within 5 minutes of laying down) FIRM is the way to go.
just ordered a futon today! slept on one a while back, and loved it, unfortunately fell back into the conventional bed. planning on substituting a tatami mat for the time being until i can find one that suits my needs!
Dude, when you sleep on the floor, you need a bit bigger mattress and restrain from using such a big pillow that lifts not only your head, but also your upper back, so your bottom vertebra has space and is not pushed into the hard surface. You have a natural bend in your spine...
I stopped watching because of your music in the background...
Why the music???????
Great video! Yes the "too hard too soon" will really discourage this misson. You don't have to only use a blanket. You can use a thin matteress topper, Shikibuton/tatami etc.. you can upgrade to a better and more firmer mat after 2 to 6 months if you need to but you won't. A good mattress topper will suffice.
Luckily there are subtitles, otherwise I would have had a very hard time to follow the video...
bro, but I LOVE brussels sprouts.
Dude looks like Liam Neeson
I’m more than willing to try
