Loganville 1907
Inspired by the United States Bicentennial, 4-H’ers of Loganville, Wisconsin decided to turn back the calendar, to re-enact life as it used to be in their rural community. With the help of older residents, the 4-H boys and girls reconstructed events which took place when their great-grandparents were young; a typical day in the one-room school, a wedding, Decoration Day, a Mission Fest, harvest time and a trip to market. Filmed in 1975.

Wow, I hope you make more of these videos! So informative, and I love that you are preserving these old pastime family favorites from yesteryear. I particularly love that you show exactly where these attractions once stood. My family started taking us to the dells early/mid 80s, a time that seems to connect the old 50s/60s Dells tourist area to the beginning of the waterslide capital of the world era. I remember seeing the big billboards and pamphlets advertising these attractions that we never got to experience, however I do remember a couple trips to Fort Dells as a little one and several shows at Tommy Barlett

Hate seeing so many old buildings destroyed any of these old buildings can be saved but today's thinking is lets just knock them down to make way for some new cheesey built toothpick building that will never last as long as these old ones and all that wasted brick that probably just got buried. The thinking of today's society is what's going to kill it and it was probably some democrat thinking that shut the mill down in the first place as with everything else they killed

A wonderfully produced tribute to those from our state who offered up their bodies and their futures that "a more perfect Union" might be realized. As we once again face an enraged minority seeking to deconstruct that Union, these voices from the past should serve to admonish each of us to reevaluate who we are and where we stand.

I knew there had been a Grand Review in Washington, but I had not considered the time and the ordeals to get the men there, nor how they had gotten home. To run out of discharge papers and to have rumors circulating that they were going to be retained in the army must have been absolutely depressing! What a great story to share, especially in the words of the men who were there!

The definition of deconstruction usually means the systematic disassembly of something with the intent of preserving the salvage materials. This building example is more demolition than anything else, granted the building looked quite fragile.
