I put this on just tow see what people think. This was all done with the inspire 1.
I love the sound of the tenor 0:27
Imagine being trapped in there with the lights off...massive man made structures terrify me😅
These Bells are relatively small for the tower, imagine what kind of giants would fit in there
cant hear anything daaam these bells realy making themselves hard to hear
These bells are absolutely beautiful!!! And in a perfect circle too!!!
Tenor not tenner
I notice it doesn't sound any worse when the treble ringer drops his bell in the third six than when the bells are in the right place!
Ring of 12, great George and a semi tone bell
Anyone else satisfied by the hour strike releasing the moment the second hand hits 60?
Yes
Amazing the back 6 sound incredible
@kyletheringer go to Liverpool Cathedral that video
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can these clocks play different songs? Church bells at my house sometimes plays holiday music. Or is that because they could be electronically controlled. They aren’t speakers.
There may be many bells in the tower, able to play music like a piano. If there's enough bells (23+) it is called a carillon.
0:47 sounds muffled
Incredible, well done
One day I will get to ring there, its on my bucket list.
I would love to be able ring one of these. Such a beautiful sound, you can hear heaven answer
Absolutely beautiful I come up from West Sussex just to hear them. Tomorrow is Christmas & I hope to pay a visit
How do they muffle them?
They attach a leather pad to one side of the clapper
@@Bellringercameron oh, interesting thanks for sharing
0:11 Tenor bell
Also Know as Emmanuel Bell Note A
Hello Matthew I wonder if you have produced any footage of the clock at St Luke’s Heywood I think I was told that you had been responsible for the excellent replacement of Clock Faces. I am guessing. It is a mechanical turret clock with Electical winding? I know there is a large (?Gillet & Bland) ring of bells in the same tower. Thanks!
There are 13 swinging bells surrounding the bourbon (Great George) (2# not working)
nice
Extraordinary- and amazing!
They don't make them like that now
Anglican cathedral construct in 1950 and finish in 1973
Emmanuel bell Cast in 1939
Le bourdon a le même son que le bourdon marie à notre dame de Paris
The tenor is gorgeous! The bells echo and the sounds overlap each other
Hi at 0:48 can all of you see a bell that is not ringing? Well that is the semitone in re4 that is used with the 8 minors bells in mib3 ( the 4 giantest bells and great George don't ring when is used the semitone) so the bells are 14 in total
beautiful bells
@@brendarosten2043 Yes they are
i think there weren't enough ringers
@@brendarosten2043 i don't think so, because the re4 Is used when the eigth bells in mib3 singing this Bell sing, then Maybe Is how you think..
Semitono per suonare 8 in Mib3
Oro
Or
there arms must me non existent afterwards and i thought turing in a 1.5 ton bell was hard
Never knew that there was a mini ring in the tower.
Classic Gilletts.
Since there's so much space, why can't Saint George be rung like the other huge bells like Great Paul etc.?
The weight of that thing would most likely damage the tower of the cathedral. When a bell is being rung, the weight of it is multiplied by 4. So 14x4=56 which means when the bells is moving, 56 tonnes of metal is moving. To be honest this could sway the tower so much, that it might crack the walls and make the tower very weak. Which could result in the tower to collapse.
@@RingerPeter The weight is no problem, there are several bigger bells out there that swings. Like St Petersglocke and Pummerin, both of them weighs over 20 tons.
@@RingerPeter There is no way Great George would damage the tower. That tower is massive, the floor and the frame are concrete. Actually ringing a counterbalanced bourdon bell like Great Paul and Great Peter would probably have less forces due to manage factors. Firstly they swing slower and also the swing is counterbalanced so the thrust of the bell in one direction is offset by part of the bell above the bearing axis and the huge headstock is opposing thrust.. Also the tower is in the centre and is not free standing. Sadly it doesn't swing, it is the movement of bells that enhance the actual sound.
I'd say there aren't any better bells than these. 😍😍😍
There are when you’re ringing them, mate
Guarda Che queste neanche sono molto Belle 😂
I agree
Try Lincoln cathedral!
This clock has a second indicator! That’s actually quite rare to see on a tower clock. Most either have only a minute indicator or a full miniature clock face with both minute and hour hands. Never before have I seen one with a second hand, too.
Big Ben has one too
l love it good charm
Liverpool isn't in Lancashire by the way, its in Merseyside.
But it is in the Lancashire Association of Change Ringers
