It's a shame ...I use the second DJM S11.The build quality it's the same as the first. My first thing was that I bought a skin because under the CF the painting started to spit..I had a 72 Mk1 which has much better build quality but the lay out, as you mentioned was a little bit tricky...But It's not normal for more than 2000 Euros..the Pioneer Dj or Alpha Theta not able to produce normal build quality...like painting faders plastic parts..

All u mentioned some were Good, Especially the errors, The Screen probably Cannot be developed any bigger truthfully, the size it is now is Dope🫡👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Thanks RANE!!!!, Update 1-07-8 newest firmware is On time, Controller is limited on space i believes,

My biggest takeaway is pioneer is using controller hardware more and more for cheaper production. So you're paying top dollar for what used to be a high end analog mixer but now is a low end plastic toy

...man, that is horrible quality. I almost bought an S11 today but I guess I will stay with my Rane 72 and still keep the S9 as a backup...

Just a piss poor company for anything other than cdjs. Terrible turntables, cheep components on all the kit, piss poor sound quality. Cheep made overpriced garbage. It’s a shame really as rane & Allen & heath blow them out the water for sound and build but because of they have the lottery of the market the consumers get rip off with inadequate gear

I bought one with a bad brain, now it is being held hostage by a authorized refurbisher because they dont have replacement parts

Same think for me. But my S11 work fine. It 's a shame for Price but i use it in 12/15hours sessions and all good.

the smell of the mixer is normal when they are brand new, after couple of months goes away, the only issue I have on mine is the paint start fading away quick, I put on skin from 12inch skinz

They’re giving people what they’re paying for, shit build quality, but it works and has the best effects. The Rane 70 is the better choice, unless you really hot to have smooth echo to be a DJ .

Lol, what does one expect, pioneer is cheap shit sold for a premium, but many won’t mind because it has great effects 😂

Same issue still works after 14 months

I had 72 and now I’ve S11.. I love both.. maybe I love more Rane ‘cause better sound and brand more ‘close’ to vinyl addicted as me.. anyway 72 too has issues according to users on web..

Pioneer isn’t good quality, it’s packed with good features, but that’s it and that’s why I would never take my hard earned cash to spend on any pioneer products, it’s over priced plastic.

I bet that's unbelievably frustrating.

I have same issue with smell and faders

same exact issues here with s11 SE, the user setting can't be saved on the mixer most of the time, especially for the FX user preference ..

If you don’t want it, I’ll take it.

I had that strange smell for the first couple of months owning the mixer. My S11 mixer is 12 months old now and still working.

Take it back - the retailer will exchange it for you.
