    How did you feel hiking through the beautiful grand canyon? What season did you go, did your knees hurt all that hard way? You maybe felt great, i think you were rejuvenated.Many greetings from Greece.Yet I noticed that you didn't cross any bridges, while other walkers crossed two or three bridges along the way. Why didn't you cross them? 💝💝💝

    • @FirstHandExplore
      @FirstHandExplore 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. Thank you for watching. This is a bucketlist hike. We are glad we did it while we still can. My knees only hurt the first day going downhill with all that weight on my pack. There are no bridges as the Tonto trail goes along the colorado river and not across it. Other videos you watched are probably the RIM to RIM trail which is also great but crowded. If you plan to camp in the Grand Canyon you need to apply for permit. A lot of hikers do the RIM to RIM trail as a day hike to prevent getting camping permit thus it is crowded.

    • @FirstHandExplore

      @@papertiger795 Cirque of the Towers is not as bad as Timberline. The distance is just half of timberline and elevation gain is about 4000 ft. What we’re worried about is the altitude. We did prepare for it a month physically. We also requested altitude sickness medicine from our doctor. We tried it days before but the effect was it let us pee a lot😆. We ended up not using it unless we need to. All in all it was just exhausting as Timberline due to altitude effect.
