How to save money on water bill
How to save money on water bill
Check with your municipality, but if you are the first time homeowner who purchased property with swimming pool, you can get a credit for the amount of gallons you used for one time pool fill in.
Call your local utility billing division or water and sewer department and ask.
Also the same applies in my area(Myrtle Beach, SC) if you are already an existing home owner with a pool. Depending on how much of the water you used to add into the pool due to evaporation, splashing, leakage or after complete draining and full fill up - once a year you can apply for credit.
Another way to save on water bill is to use the ground water by drilling the well and connecting well water line to your pool lines. Check more about it in this video:

    What were the tablets you add to increase cyanuric acid?

      @Mike-pb6lw 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Trichlor tablets. They are a stabilized form of chlorine that adds CYA to your water

    Look very cheap, in Canada they are asking 150$ for what I can see is just a plastic box, tube and a valve. Reading from the reviews on Amazon says it only last about a year before the valve fails. I'd keep putting my garden hose manually.

    Just fucking scoop it out instead of poking at it dude. It didn't move up your arm to say thank you, it moved up because they seek safety in high places. Next time just grab the leaf scoop for the pool and scoop it out instead of recording yourself poking and prodding at it. Seriously dude...

      Well when he does try to pick and scoop it up it stills runs and slither out of his hand I agree it was kind of wierd that he didn't just scoop up the lizard in the first place but at least he got it out

    Looks like you still had a bit of pink in the powdered solution after titration.

      Yes Sir, gotta be crystal clear without pink shade, could of be 1 more drop of reagent needed. I don't remember though, may be I added after, but just picked this footage for video editing purposes as good one, hard to record holding camera in one hand and comparator in another 😀

    As another option, you can also increase your pH without using baking soda by using a fountain. Aeration in the fountain causes pH to rise.

    Only thing added thru the skimmer should be chlorine stabilizer or sometimes called chlorine conditioner. Anything else is bad for the pump seals aslo if you add calcium hardness thru the skimmer it could cause filter to rupture or chlorinator to explode especially using pellet calcium very strong exothermic reaction with water . Always hold test bottles straight up and down so each drop is the same . Nice vid sir but some info not right and dangerous

    We got a new saltwater pool and when i check chlorine with DPD powder it does not turn pink even though i kept putting more and more powder. We run the chlorinator about 8 hours daily. What are we doing wrong?

    • @sergii_swimming_pools
      @sergii_swimming_pools ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, it's salt water pool so it's alternative system to regular chlorine. You need different test kit to measure chlorine in the pool and it's called Taylor K-2006 SALT, chlorine test there is specifically for saltwater pools.

    Will the liquid one be easier to use on a very large pool in the backyard?

      The volume of the pool don't matter. But liquid one is sorta easier because you don't need to do mathematic calculations
