Even though I’m 35 I’m getting ready to go to Japan on October in order to attend a language school in Tokyo and this is the topic that scares me the most. As a dad of a large family in Japan: 1. Almost all Parking lots are coin only 2. Garbage cans nowhere 3. Slurping noodles 4. ETC fees get excessive 5. They will not just transfer medical data or digital money, everything is by hand and physical. 6. They love anime on a level that annoys me, all signs are cartoons, they advertise with it, even serious stuff. 7. Crowds EVERYWHERE, literally thousands of people doing everything. 8. Even kid places, there are adults doing the activities and it's annoying, I didn't pay for this kid activity for my kids to wait for grown ass adults to be in front of them. Especially Disney kid areas. 8. Old people do what they want, say what they want, cross the road where they want. Their privilege is insane and rude.

I've actually been dreaming of going to japan sinds 2020 or so, I'm now 16, I will be 17 in March! I'm from Belgium & have been looking into it and I was thinking of maybe going to Japan after highschool, and going to language school there. Although now I'm not sure anymore. With all the costs it will be super expensive and what if I don't end up liking living there? What if I don't want to continue studying there, etc. Then I'd just have to move back and a whole lot of money will be wasted to skills that I won't even need in my country... I'm really not sure, help!

I feel the same way as you, I’m currently at a Japanese language school and I’m one of the older students in my class and I see others just catching on so quickly and it sticks in their head and I sometimes feel I’m so behind and that can suck!! I realised that we all have parts that we are good at or weak at and maybe I’m stronger in an area than someone else, so I have to remember that and everyone is different in how they learn. Keep up the great work hun, ur doing fantastic, wish you well!!! 😉🫶🩷❤️🪭🎉
