Is it good for shooter games
Which is better to buy: A5 Pro Max or Ultra?
Great review, you need more support, I love the way you put everything into detail and this video did make me laugh (in a good way of course)
Hi bro, I am undecided between Basilisk v3 and Basilisk v3 x Hyperspeed, which one do you recommend or should I choose neither?
I use the victrix at the moment and owned the v2. I hated how heavy the dead zones where along with the back buttons and the way the roller felt in hand. I've seen they redesigned the controller new back button style and shape is the v3 worth?
It is. The v2 shipped with the deadzone on the sticks at 40% but after huge negative feedback they added a deadzone feature in software. The v3 back buttons and sticks are an improvement for both.
@SeriouslyTechStuff I use the victrix at the moment as it's the only decent 250 hz controller on xbox apart from razer or if u use a dongle. Would you suggest the v3?
Thanks for your review, I was hesitant about getting this mouse but I'm almost sold lol. Just wondering if this would work as an ambidextrous or just right handed mice. Ah also the max m918 pro looks alike but I guess it's a little bigger than this one
The wireless dongle is so fucking hard to take out
23:13 yes you can manually calibrate and reset center of stick. That is the problem everyone is having with this controller and not knowing, then returning it. It’s because Razer doesn’t tell us this. I only found out from a YT video
Yes I found that out as well. Thanks.
I returned two of these now because even after the firmware update I had 7's on my x and y and I only play shooters. Also, Fun Fact...this controller can't update itself, you have to update it with a windows laptop. So to get all this straight you have to have a windows laptop to even consider updating the firmware on this controller even though it is designed for "xbox" I loved the feel of this controller and all the buttons, but unfortunately the dead zones were too much. for some clarification, I would have to move my left stick forward about 1/8th inch before I moved in game. That is significant! almost crazy. Razer remedies this by providing a " software update" that is a load of crap! HERE'S WHY, I took note of both my software version and firmware version on the controller. I then downloaded the updater download from the razor site and utilized it. It stated the my controller needed an update. I followed the prompts and successfully downloaded and installed the update only to find that the firmware version and or software was the same and the promblems still remain. So naturally I attempt to update it again, thinking surely something went wrong. Again, the updater tool ran the same update, said it was complete and yet nothing changed including version of software. So basically what happened after further investigation is, razor didn't actually create a firmware update. Razor simply created a downloadable tool to give the illusion of an update, when in fact all of the programming remained the same.
Bro it’s because you didn’t manually calibrate the sticks. lol…. L
@ so if I manually calibrate the sticks, then I can have my game dead zone’s B0 and my dead zones on the razor at B0 and there’s no stick drift? Because I find that highly unlikely.
@@Fenderlover1992 I have my deadzone on Razer app at 0 and In game I set deadzone settings all the way down as well. And no stick drift. There’s about 1.5-3% drift but it’s not noticeable and doesn’t actually cause drift in game. I’m just seeing a lot of ppl saying what you said and I strongly assume it’s because they did not manually calibrate.
@@joshbarton4373 Same here. For some reason I get a tad of drift playing Space Marines 2 but nothing else. Weird
Oh my God-hysterical intro! Love these-very exciting.
Shouldn't it spelled MC-HOSE?
Maybe
Returned mine.....deadzone issues, MAJOR (5-10) drift out of the box, horrible software, battery life is avg 3.5 hours........maybe I had a dud? But no way its worth $200+........
What did you get instead?
@ Went with the Vader 4 Pro.....
I returned mine as well for the wired version. $$.Both had no issues with stick drift. Honestly, that would really piss me off. And I have had no issue with the software. Downloaded the Xbox controller app from the MS store and it does exactly what it is supposed to. Much better than their mouse software, yikes.
Mine works fine stick drift can be altered through your Xbox these days if you are a destiny player you go to controller settings put the sticks at 0 then work your way up
@@SeriouslyTechStuffbiggest reason you returned the Pro? I am seriously considering buying for my Xbox but I am hearing 50/50 reviews.
Good intro bro 😂
Thanks, my wife had fun doing it.
Why isn’t my report rate showing on my pc or xbox
Can you help me does it work on Xbox
Yes
bro it was review of g309 right? clickbait
How is it click bait bro?
great intro! xD Your description of the back buttons is incredibly detailed! So...even though I have small hands, do you think I could accidentally and continuously press the back buttons, or hold my hands in an unnatural way because of this?
I keep my fingers on the buttons, but they are stiff enough to not accidentally push them. You should be fine, however if you think it would be a problem the Wolverine 2 has buttons that are more in the middle letting you rest your fingers on the sides like a non-back button controller.
You can totally grab the controller without pressing the button on mine, I have to actually press the back button to have a reaction, just holding the controller isn't enough to click them. About the V2 your fingers have to go to the button to press it, that's top-notch controller, designed with a professional e player, and you said yourself "everybody hate the back button on V2"
"You can totally grab the controller without pressing the button on mine, I have to actually press the back button to have a reaction". I was talking about the Xbox Elite are you? And yeah I feel the V2 back buttons were e-sport minded and a lot of people just didn't get it. I thought it was brilliant.
hi! does the attack shark x3 also have the same thing where it gets harder to click further up you go on the button?
also pls review the mchose a7
It has the same resistance as any mouse. You can click it but it does get a bit harder
Good review and explanation of the back buttons being better than paddles. I would get the Pro if it was Bluetooth wireless (not dongle only). The tournament edition is a $100 less, but it's the same controller. If you want different sticks use Kontrolfreaks, and both versions require a wired connection to use the 1000hz polling rate, only for PC.
Correct. Wired=1000hz, however I felt no difference between wired and wireless in PC mode, but others may be more sensitive.
@SeriouslyTechStuff did you activate PC mode/1000hz? If only connected it via wired, it stays at 250hz. It can be turned on in the PC controller App or pressing a combo of buttons(I forgot which ones). I believe it was more responsive in 1000hz mode.
I cant even change my button profiles on the controller itself idk if i have to do the firmware update on PC (im on xbox) but yeah and i cant do the Xbox to PC shortcut cause that ( o ) button dont seem to work
I would like to see a review on the gamesir tarantula
Me too. Got one?
Magnets, how do they work? Well, if it used magnets to hold the caps on, the Hall Effects might not.
We already addressed this in the comments and the review. Thanks for watching.

@@Drag0zard Way to read comments from 3 months ago.
@@SeriouslyTechStuffyeah we get it, you're a slow reader. Better luck next time
Sticks not close to being centered out of the box with a 4 dead zone to stop drift. No thanks. The wired one has zero DZ problems and sticks .2 out. Buy the wired.
i heard that u just cant use magnets for sticks removal because there are magnets already.
how are the mouse switches compared to the g305 lightspeed?
It's made for a claw grip, you should give it a try, otherwise you won't feel the benefits of the leverage and full control.
You think this is made for claw grip? It may work well with claw grip but there are back buttons. And I can't do claw grip personally, it's against my religion. But thanks for that. Could be a good recommendation if you use the claw.
THE INTRO IS CRAZZZY!!!

Yes unless in use
Love the intro 😂
Thanks
I am the thousand view. Y’all know what to do. 😅
I know what to do ... THANK YOU!!!
@@SeriouslyTechStuff hey man I appreciate your response and content brother keep it up !!! Just found you and gonna stay.
I heard - prevent double deadzones - also doubles the input latency - FYI ) And about sticks - did u apply latest firmware update? Looks like drift on 0 (zero) is much less prominent now.
Yes Always update firmware on razer products. Saw no difference however, the new one was off a tad but the one in my impressions video that was missing the dongle was zero'd. on the same firmware. Hmmm Quality control at it's finest.
Is there a remap option for the sticks to set them on southpaw?
Sorry no. Have tried being right handed? JK. This is usually an option in games that support controllers yes? Or have they gotten away from that like inverting? If so that sucks and shame on devs for not including it.
Gaming is no longer for children, it's for adults who have a lot of money.
No kidding. Tried Mountain biking? $$$$$$
Hell most of us grew up gaming, we aren't just gonna stop haha
This a pro controller theirs a ton of other options which are nuch cheaper which you can get for kids
i have 2 mouse Razer DeathAdder V3 and HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 for me it is better haste 2 in hand ... :( broken 2 times frist my scroll .. secondly after upgrade.. the company replaced it 2 times , and I'm happy
Hahahahahaha Dude! One more here!
Nice intro😂 The controller was finally avaliable in my country but today i returned it. Build quality is great except how you change the sticks. Overall i think people with larger hands will struggle. I am not that hard-core of a gamer but my hands hurt after just 2 hours sessions. It was dificult for me to pull back the left stick since my thumb was already half squeezed when i grab the controller. I had to map the bumpers to the M buttons since it was not confortable to move my fingers back. I was constantly clicking the back buttons. Since the controller is shorter on the sides there is no place to rest your fingers. I was very mad that i had to return it since besides comfort, everything else is perfect. I just ordered the elite 2 core since there was a great offer at the moment. Will be waiting to check a possible series 3 if it ever happens. Forgot to mention that one other flaw of the V3 Pro is battery life... could have used a better battery for that price
First: Comfort is King. If it doesn't fit it doesn't fit. Didn't think to mention the size since it is so close to an original Xbox controller but will do that in the future. Second: Battery life. Mine on a full charge was about 10 or so hours. However I am on PC and plugging in a cable is almost second nature. It would be better to plug this in when not in use if it's your daily squeeze. Thanks for watching and thanks for the input.
I returned mine as well. I have a scuf instinct pro before and thought I would try something else but it was the wrong choice. I have bought a new scuf because it's so much more comfortable.
@@AndrewLongworth-z1m Large hands? I have mid hands, maybe something I should consider in future reviews of controllers.
That intro was hilarious. 👍
Thanks
Do these come wireless for the Xbox x? please, I need to know.
I dont know to buy the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro or wait for Nacon Xbox Revolution X Unlimited
Always wait if there is another product that you think could be better.
@@SeriouslyTechStuff I has good experience with Razer's pads and I know theyre a nice pads, but the Nacon Xbox Revolution X Unlimited will come with a interesting features, but I don't had a Nacon pad. Now I'm going for the V3 Pro
Me personally I love the way the elite series 2 does it. I've tried multiple pro controllers similar to it I much prefer to have my fingers right on the paddles for the face buttons and I've used controllers similar to the V2 as well I dislike the back buttons being away from my fingers I like them to fit perfectly. And I love the extra buttons of the razer. I don't really have a preference for paddles or buttons as long as either of them work and fit my hands well I don't care the 2 extra buttons is why I'm most interested in this controller and it being similar to the V2. But I do have one question how do the thumb sticks compare size wise to the V2
The placement of the back buttons on this is really nice. I think you will like it if you like the Elite paddles. I personally just don't want to rest my fingers on the buttons until I am ready to use them much like the buttons on the top.
@@SeriouslyTechStuff that's good to hear how are the sticks I'm a bigger sticks kind of guy so I hope to get replacement sticks eventually
@@maritimesteak8540 I recently acquired the Wolverine v3 tournament edition, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. The sticks are medium-sized, but since you prefer larger sticks, I would highly recommend getting Kontrol Freaks and attaching them to the sticks.
@@SeriouslyTechStuff do you know if razer has any plans of releasing a ps5 version of this. i really dislike the razer wolverine v2 back buttons. but i want a controller with a gyroscope. unfortunatly because microsoft does not support gyro on xinput, most 3r party developers are limited to having a dualshock or switch pr mode on steam or rewasad. but both the dualshock and switch pro controller dont have back buttons. so you are limited to just copies of already existing inputs on the back the other option is if a controller menufactoror actually puts gyro to mouse translation on their controller itself. like on the alpakka controller. the beitong zeus 1 and 2 can also do this, but i dont like ther triggerstops on that. all i want is a controller with a correct 98% trigger sopt with mouse click. mechanical face buttons. 4 good back buttons and hall effect sticks with mouse like gyro. Theire is not a single controller that fits all of these criterias. The alpakka hs the best gyro (2 sensors). greatly placed back buttons. but it has only two. short mouse like triggers. but i miss having mechanical face buttons or optical face buttons. Microsoft really needs to ad gyro to theire controller and support it on xinput. they are holding the whole industry back.
Nice review btw how is the mouse doing? do you have any problem w it or is it fine after 8 months?
I'm also wondering about that, cause I heard it's having issues after few weeks
So far nothing. Still rocking it. Holding up very well
@@flazegaming9995that's because they got the older batch mouses just get the red one variant
Can you use the galaxy kontrol freaks on this as I use those on my elite series 2, and as for your concerns about the sticks only going on one way I just don't think it's an issue as I hardly ever remove mine. I know that my series 2 is on the blink but I have had it for quite a while now and it's been great although I have had a left bumper problem so I am thinking of a new controller and would get another series 2 but this one does interest me although it is £50 more expensive! I know you don't like the back button position but I only use two on the series 2 and really like the position of them, so do I try this Razer I am concerned about the 4 back buttons and pressing them by mistake :) also how do you remap the buttons to A and X is it easy enough to do or is it a faff?
@@andyarmitage2895 according to some redditors, kontrol freeks will fit. setting buttons is extremely easy, you have different profiles and in each profile you can assign to the paddles. All done through the app.
I don't have any kontrol freaks but looking at the size of the sticks compared to the regular Xbox ones they are really close in size and shape. Shouldn't have a problem. As far as pushing buttons by mistake, I haven't yet. You don't "press" them so much as squeeze them. And I will get into the software in my official review. Hope this helps.
Xbox galaxy fit, but they're a tight fit
@@RGPGAME-Z Thanks for sharing.
11:00 Just a heads up, the wired one doesn't include/support interchangeable thumbsticks. And 15:40, the design had to change because the magnets would've affected the hall effect sensors 😅 but I don't mind the new design, most people stick to one size so this just makes it more sturdy.
Wow you are correct. Didn't even think about that. And as for as the interchangeable sticks I did fail to mention that thanks but it may be a plus. Not a total review. I will be reviewing the tournament edition when I get one. Thanks for watching.
@@SeriouslyTechStuff no problem. Thanks for the video.
Good video, especially your comments on how to hold the controller and rear button placement. Word of advice, might be more able to hear the button clicks if you stopped the background music.
Is it wider than deluxe m800 ?
Used the wired version for a year and then the infinite wheel stopped working and every few seconds the mouse started to lose contact. Too bad, it was the best mouse I've ever used.
