Hey, good question. Yep, the custom AI block doesn’t seem to have the same functionality as the new Notion AI update yet (which is strange!) so it doesn’t read the documents you reference in the instruction. Otherwise you are spot on and the best way to do it would be to just use a custom AI block directly instead of copy pasting

Yes I guess it’s kinda of like creating a custom GPT in Notion, that’s a good way of thinking about it! Except the GPT instructions are just Notion pages that might be a bit easier to manage and update over time.

it's the same spirit, but the execution has the advantage that the "knowledge base" that Notion AI can access is mutable and you can "select" the ones that are useful for each workflow. In Custom GPT normally you add docs to the knowledge base and call it a day. And the GPT use all of their knowledge base.

Yes I’ve noticed some buggy behavior with the latest rollout. For example when you generate an AI response and don’t discard or accept it, sometimes the page is seemingly corrupted and no longer responds? I imagine these are just temporary bugs with the new release though. Also noticed the lag but haven’t seen crashes. I should test it out though with multiple tabs at once. Good catch, hopefully these things get cleaned up soon!

Ah, I read your original comment (before edit) and came to reply to that but this is slightly different now 😅 to your original comment, I agree it’s a bit of a shame Notion hasn’t implemented mass database editing and it still falls short in a lot of ways. Hoping they will introduce that with new updates though and seems to be heading in the right direction at least? In response to your latest edit/comment, I personally think there’s room for AI to help with writing content, especially on topics where there are only Reddit posts ranking or no clear dedicated blog post written yet, but I can see why people object to it.

Thank you! And yes I have. I filmed another video talking through my process for writing SEO articles with Notion AI (and my experience with how it performs). In general, it performs well on certain informational longtail keywords, but you’ll want to give it plenty of guidance for what to include and then polish it up a bit afterwards. isn't the new notion ai powered by cloude and chatgpt-4? You should be able to get what you want from it if you specify it in the chat

Interesting point, I know what you mean, annoying to see your writing get crossed out every time you ask for feedback! I guess with this new update you would have to open your content page/article, then open the assistant chat and select ‘this page’ as the context, then start asking for feedback on your writing. That way it won’t automatically change and cross out your writing, but it will be more conversational and you could just ask for any feedback or tips.

Actually, if you highlight a section of text and use the Ask AI feature instead of the ‘improve writing’ option, then specifically ask for feedback like ‘give me some tips to improve this section’ it won’t rewrite the text, but in my experience will give some bulleted feedback and tips. Could be a good workaround with the new update!

Good idea, will add it to the list of future videos. For now, I’d summarize by saying Landmark OS was built for a more reflective, personal approach to running your own business. It’s also a little more complex and requires more Notion knowledge to make full use of it. Business OS on the other hand is much easier to use, is suited to small teams (but also individual business owners) and was built after a lot of new Notion updates, so it’s a bit more intuitive for using Notion AI and other updates within it. Personally, I’d say Business OS is better for 95% of cases, and only go with Landmark OS if you have a strong preference for how it is laid out/fitted together. Hope that helps!

Hey, nice suggestion. I'll add that to the list and release it as a module in the Landmark Library so that it fits more easily with Business OS. For now though, you can already use our Invoices Template + Tracker from the library (available on the free account: www.landmarklabs.co/block/notion-invoice-template-tracker) and integrate that into Business OS. There's a tutorial in Business OS for how to go about adding components, so hopefully that helps!

Hey, sure thing. You can apply a filter to your chart and only include values that fall between 70-90 in your chart for the 'weight' property. In the video @ 9:42 , I show an example of how to filter data from your chart. For your case, use an advanced filter, then create one rule that is where property 'Weight' > 70 and then create another rule for the same property where Weight < 90 and that should do it for you!

@@landmarklabs Thanks a lot - I'm trying but it's still showing from 0-100 To clarify I dont want it to show 0-70 on the chart as it's just taking up space and means that I can barely see the curve haha - Am I just doing something wrong?

Oh! I see what you mean now, you'd like to adjust the axis range, not filter the data. Unfortunately, I don't think Notion charts offer a way to do this currently (not that I know of, at least). If there is a way in future, I suspect it will be in the chart styling options. Sorry about that! It's a bit of a workaround, but what you might try instead is to set a weight target, then just use +/- values for what you're tracking? That way if you're 5kg/lbs above target, you'll enter +5, and if you're below -5 etc. That would then display a higher res graph for you--just an idea for a workaround!

Hello. The best way to do this is to use the 'Group' functionality. It won't work for every data type, and is only available in bar and line charts. In the video example, I have revenue items. The X axis is showing the 'Month' property values and the Y axis is showing the 'Sum' property values. So that's already 2 properties being displayed, but I think what you're getting at is to show another value like 'Category' as well as the 'Sum' values? If so, then you can click into the edit chart settings, then select 'Group' and select the variable for grouping. Otherwise perhaps I'm not quite catching what you mean by visualize 2 properties?
