You can kinda buffer the input but it takes some practice. Try it in training a few times after the level 3 to get a feel for doing it as soon as possible. You might be surprised how fast you can input stuff after the super (try holding up just to get an idea of when to start doing the moonjump input) Also to my knowledge coolers will not work with a non macro moonjump, if you're inputting it manually

You should still be proud for finding it and optimizing your character on your own!

Fat Buu was probably a bit low and could have been 2, but unfortunately base Goku is one of the worst characters in the game

The perculator hate is a joke, the people commentating are homies. we're good buddies and perc is a strong player. We were talking a lot during the set (he said I was carried by cooler and I said he was a masher 🤣). We both played pretty dumb here but it was a fun time

Ikr he's so crazy, but somehow the banned characters are even stronger. He's really really good though

They're not the highest of high tiers, but each one can actually be super good if you master their combos and setups! Sick team

Part of the reason for the ban (I think) is that many teams would just be one of those characters and two bottom ones, since the top tiers are THAT broken. And middle chars would see no use. Thanks for the feedback though! What changes would you like to see the list, just curious?

@@Wattski_fgcI mean, a lot of those are valid picks! Cell, Bluegeta and Jiren I think are all valid. Beerus could be debatable, with the no recovery level 3. Gohan and Baby I feel like should be in 3 ratio, they are good but Gohan requires a lot of meter to make broken. Baby is great but he has nothing like a safe dp that turns into mix when blocked, or a command grab with full invincibility. I could see it being like Jiren though, where he doesn’t have one super strong and obnoxious move but in combination they make a broken character. Idk, just my thoughts.

Thanks, it was definitely hard for @elperculator lol everyone (including me) were all yelling at him with different opinions 🤣 I think the reasoning for Beerus was that even at 3 he has no good teams since he needs kinda specific support. Vs solo anchor Gohan can come in with bar and win a whole game with one touch into lvl 7 sometimes. Baby I think was in the same vein as jiren like you mentioned. We'll see, maybe after the tourney the list will be adjusted. Some chars like mbuu, videl, ssj Vegeta are low in my opinion

⁠@@Wattski_fgcI’m assuming you got the idea from Marvel vs capcom ratio tourneys. Yeah I know those characters are “broken” (wrong way to use that word btw) but taking away from the game just seems less fun. The marvel vs capcom series has characters that are just as strong if not stronger than the characters in dbfz and not one ratio tourney that I’ve seen bans any characters. They just make the ratio so you can only choose one of those characters along with some lower tiers like you said. I know that’s what you were trying to avoid but banning is so subjective, one could make a pretty valid argument for banning 17 and krillin if you’re gonna ban all those other characters. Gotenks is hardly seen because of the high skill ceiling to use him properly. Just my two cents, take a look at some of the ratios for MVC2 and MVC3 and follow suite. There are people who genuinely like the middle tier characters for the sake of the characters and would pick them , me for example I play piccolo/ Janemba shell and like to use the Vegetas.

Thanks for that perspective @PsychicJaguar19, I actually know very very little about marvel so I hadn't considered that before. I definitely see your point about characters being taken away making the game less fun, and your points about the mid tier shells and where to draw the cutoff line for ban too. I'm curious now how marvel ratio teams look now, so I'll look into that! Also, the format and ratios aren't made by me but I'll share your thoughts with the creator. I hear you bro, I wouldn't really consider myself a huge cooler specialist or anything honestly. They homogenized all the characters and made many of them very easy to play. For example cooler, baby, krillin. Everyone has easy combos high damage combos now but the game also kinda sucks as a whole now too. Hopefully the next patch is good

It's actually one of the strongest meta shells now! You'll probably be seeing it a lot more in tourney soon

Likewise, I'm still struggling to implement it too but the key is getting the input to the point where you don't have to think about it. To avoid being scuffed, hide the button press entirely via iad back or back dash or while blocking, so you're never exposed. If you watch match replays from really good players, many are hiding the L/M this way actually!

@Wattski_fgc maybe I'm just not good at knowing when it's the good moment to do it cuz my button gets scuffed alot by ki blast and assists

Likewise 😭 takes some practice but try doing it as low as possible, usually you shouldn't be exposed then, and if you've used your jumps it's much riskier ofc

Idk jumping in any fighting game makes you vulnerable. Most people watch how many jumps you take before they call their projectiles. It is important to only moon jump on opponents who are rushing you down or trying to hard zone you. Never do it during scrambles or when you are too close to the opponent
