People don't consider Muay Thai an "art" simply because of the wai kru ram muay.... People consider Muay Thai an "art", because of its vast history being used in warfare and sport. It's a "way of life" and right of passage in Thailand. DEEPLY rooted in Thailand's overall history. Not to mention, it is legitimately a martial art, both in traditional and modern senses. That said, the video was very informative and enjoyable.

"Thai boxing is in itself artistic and for this reason cannot be compared in terms of effectiveness or efficiency." Yeah, I remember when we all thought that before Urquidez and Roufus fought Muay Thai fighters....yeah, it's effective especially considering they still couldn't use the head or elbows.

Second Wai kru (the warming routine as you wrongly call it) is not warming routine although it has such effect it's a "dance"expressing your respect(wai) for your teacher(kru) also it gives respect to your elders and the budist ways.
