Im Aussie too. I was looking at doing the Ha Giang loop using Tigit motorbikes out of Hanoi. As Australians how did you handle the licence issue as Vietnam doesn't recognise the 1949 geneva international driving permit that Australia is signed with? Is there a way to do it legally for a bike above 150cc ? Or is or common for people just to take a chance?

Hi! Loved the video. What’s the name or company of the tour you took?

Great video guys!....We went there first time this year and had similar positive experience to you guys. Purest snorkeling waters we have experienced [ 1.5 -2 hrs in the water in silence and abundance sea life passes by like nothing] . Already booked next year there and Koh Phangan for 4 months. As far as negative history this happened at bars , getting in conflict with locals, and going to dark places at night in a particular area. Respect the locals, avoid getting drunk and stupid and utilize the day time .. TIP: We are early morning risers... everyone is asleep.. so we watch sunrises and swims in low heat in stunning beautiful beaches around the small island. then rest of day work remotely, eat followed by sunset. rinse repeat!
